Glasgow 1.Summers © 2.Bewley 3.Lawson 4.Lunna 5.Worral 6.Perry 7.Smith Berwick 1 Lewis Bridger 2 Dimitri Berge 3 Claus Vissing 4 Liam Carr 5 Kevin Doolan © 6 Danny Gappmaier 7 Rob Shuttleworth (G) The end of a big weekend sees Glasgow taking on the Bandits at home, looking forward to both meetings with the Bandits this weekend and hopefully all riders emerge unscathed after a busy few days. Can't see by a Glasgow win barring disaster.

Lawson is good round Berwick, Smith / Blacklock is an unknown to me, and the bottom 4 at Berwick could win this out...... Hopefully I'm wrong.

Edinburgh V Berwick 14/4/17 Sgbc

Agreed, but going on the wrong side of 30. 61-29 -
Swindon should bite the bullet, get permission for a full size training track a few miles out and gradually move towards it. Temporary stands as necessary etc. Why on earth anyone is still listening to their bull**** is beyond me. Probably because most people can't imagine lying through your teeth for a few quid.

Glasgow V Newcastle Championship 8th April 2017

Thought this was a great meeting. Any stringing out is down to the gulf between HL's and lower orders for these teams. Tons of Racing, thoroughly enjoyed it. Lunna and Bewley did brilliant. Lambert is a class act. -

Sure last season Lambert equalled the track record one Sunday (?) -

Forced to admit that Edinburgh look a formidable side this season. Don't expect a pummeling but the form of E Riss and the fact Pickering can score points says 55-35 -
Glasgow V Newcastle Championship 8th April 2017

I think this is a difficult one to call, but two extremely strong top ends may well lead to the reserves battling it out. A big meeting for Glasgow. -
Championship Admission Costs.

No one forces anyone to buy a programme, I could print a racecard for 5p but buy a programme to support the club. Plus it's good reading on the throne. -

My speedway team 17.50 adult 6.00 kid = 23.50 My football team 26.00 adult 14 kid = 40.00 Local Ice hockey 18.00 adult 13.00 kid = 31.00 Speedway season tickets works out at an astonishing £15 for the two of you. Lots of people who aren't flush use a scorecard. Food and drink is cheap. Street parking. Fair enough folk don't want to go to speedway, but it's not expensive in relative terms. **Edited to add I've not been to Belle Vue so in their case they may well be expensive. -
I thought the crowd was pretty good. The stand was very busy, the enclosures were packed and the back straight was busy but it is now much much bigger. Good atmosphere and hopefully they get the track sorted next week. Hate to keep saying it, but it doesn't help having the tractors packing it for 10 mins either.

So no new stadium, old one left to rot, Swindon go boom in the next few years.
-
Exactly. They have never delivered on ANY of their Speedway facilities promised as far as I know? If they are involved you can stop the discussion here in my opinion.
-
Proper start line technology, lasers transponders whatever. Even at Berwick 50th season last week there were riders being warned for perfectly fine starts.Relying on tapes is all well and good - but if that's the case they should just use touching the tapes as the rule.
-
Good line up, might fire over. Masters and Wells one and two is a shoo in right enough.
-
Surely the club are just trying to recoup cash for what is quite a costly event. We have the best facilities in British speedway and huge improvements in the close season.

Any news on Clark's big plan?

If Scunthorpe send a full team up on the 1st there will be racing. The Ben fund was the first on a completely relaid and improved circuit, and the riders were less aggresive in the main due to it being a charity meeting.

Nice to see a few Poole fans at Glasgow (Ben Fund). I saw a couple in racing Jackets walking down Saracen Street after the meeting ( ) Hope to get myself to Wimbourne this year.
