Nothing wrong with having a diverse set of pastimes.
-
Well I'm still going to go to Armadale and I hope the Edinburgh fans still come to us. It's been some atmosphere lately.
-
so is 2016 going to be the last year then? Given stadium UK (or whatever they are called) previous and the deadly silence around the whole thing, aside from excuse after excuse. The reason I keep posting is Swindon fans are going to have to take the bull by the horns if nothing happens soon. They should be very concerned.

Lets be honest, this Poole thread is missing Statman. It's as empty as Middlo's cranium in here.
-
There's a good point in there about averages though. Having to change teams around to such an extent alienates fans. I'm all for averages but there should be some way of allowing more consistency.

Keep the bookies away if at all possible IMO. -
Live Match Streaming For Armchair Fans?

Good luck getting these chancers to pay 20 quid. If you asked them for a fiver they'd start with all the 'ooooh but I'm a poor pensioner' stuff. At the end of the day the number who are actually infirm enough to not go is tiny. The majority are final salary pensioners living the high life and too damn LAZY to get out of their chair. -
An amazing post......Here's to both of these things happening. I see good things for Speedway in the UK over the next few years, starting this season with the NSS

Things Looking Brighter For Young British Riders
damosuzuki replied to Wildcat Steve's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
We haven't heard anything - the track in the borders was ( led to believe) a Brian Gray project and as such seems to have been lost. As for Glasgow I've heard nothing and it always seemed a bit suss being in the middle of town. IMO Glasgow or Edinburgh should have a northern juniors and NL team in some form or another. -
Come on, all this talk of bullying is rubbish. The only people allowed to complain about online bullying are transgender activists and nonces. If I don't like what people say I just ignore it. The internet brings out the worst in people but it's just a forum. It might seem like someone is insulting you, but if you think about it it's just someone typing away in a shed who's probably never met you.

They are going to race on Fridays I believe - but can't find it in black and white anywhere...
-
Thanks to Gordon though for posting that explanation. Whether you agree or not it's nice to see it out there. A bit of argy bargy does forums no harm though.. it's when they go quiet they die a death. Speaking of which where's Statman!?

Open Season On Nicki
damosuzuki replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
To me it looks like Monster Joe is the issue here (according to Nicki P in the Star). I'm inclined to believe him. It's fine the riders being dicks, they've earned the right. But this guy stirring it up is unprofessional. Agree on Doyle though, I don't think he's malicious as much as extremely reckless - and Nicki has been on the recieving end more than anything lately. -
What odds can I get on Blacklock at the bookies?
-
Must be KUS, all the other contenders have run out of points.
-
Also great to see Monarchs are converting a van for the same purpose.
-
Big Craig Cook article in the Star this week (not yet read it just saw it in the shop).
-
Edited - yes that's what I mean. Monarchs won't be as formidable away from home.
-
Even with home advantage for Edinburgh, a good few teams should be able to pump monarchs at their own tracks home and carry a better lead in the cups, playoffs etc. I still hope glasgow and.Edinburgh meet in a final. As long as us weegies win.
-
They Should be, but if there are teams that don't do it it would be interesting to know who they are. But as everyone has said here you'd have to be self employed or something because with two leagues and the distribution of Premier teams it must surely make it full time.
