As much as you can guarantee Adam R will give you 100 % effort , he is rather injury prone Let's hope his injury spell is behind him

Really pleased to see Steve back in 2016.... there is more to come form this young man
-
Craig has done a phenomenal job for you in the last 5 years and as he says it is time to move on with EL and Poland. I am sure that Edinburgh will still have a strong side which will be aiming to / reach the play offs. Good Luck Edinburgh.... my trips to Edinburgh are now curtailed with Belle Vue being on Fridays.

Good to see Steve W back for the Diamonds who should now blossom as a no 1 in the PL and Arnio is a rider who always gives 100%

I would like to think that a new generation USA GP rider will come to fruition..... but the pool of young talented USa riders is quite small and probably not likely for a few years...

for those who don't get the ss anymore , what is the gist of the article ?

After a tremendous performance in Melbourne and his glorious career one has to say that Greg is the best ever American Speedway rider. One wonders how long he can go on at this level..... he has stated that it is all systems go for next year.....can he go on until 50 or possibly further? One thing for certain he is an extremely popular rider with supporters and riders alike...possibly with one exception !!!

Ground sharing with Leicester ,,,,,,, who would want to go there from Coventry ?????? ,,,, ...talk to the fans and ask them there opinion of Leicester .... Birmingham if they are allowed to have two meetings a week possibly
-
By the way they rode in 2015 , a clear out would be the best route to take...
-
He has let down a number of his previous clubs in Britain ,,,, I would be amazed if anyone took him on.

Mark Lemon played a very important part in the Aces path to the play offs and I am sure that the promotion are well aware of his worth to helping the Aces still further. I feel confident that they will do as much as they can to keep Mark in 2016.

Confirmed Elite League Signings 2016
KIRKYLANE replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If I remember correctly this rule was blown out of the water between Poole and Swindon where a point blank refusal to buy was allowed to stand. -
Whatever happens , with or without Zagar , Belle Vue will put out the strongest team they can with a view to getting to the play offs again and hopefully going one step further. With the new stadium and a new era starting then we have to hope that everything will start to move onwards and upwards. To start with there is a minimum 32 meetings in 2016 !!!

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
KIRKYLANE replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
As the emergence of the new stadium gets closer and closer , we must not forget the humungous part that Manchester City Council have played in the Belle Vue Sports Village. Obviously , Belle Vue promotion have had an enormous amount of work to do since the inception of the whole project. The council have done a tremendous job . Many councils are quite anti speedway and it shows where other potential speedway sites have been rejected. -
Birmingham have settled in to the NL and are making money .. keep it that way until confidence is such that they are ready to move to the PL .

Reply to gee Jay This has always been my stance re the bottom league since 1968 when the original div 2 was formed. Indeed this was the principal intention of the league which produced many young talented riders. In recent years, some teams have bought their league title by filling their team with experienced riders within a points limit that was far too high.... Leaving teams like Buxton struggling to sign a number 1 rider because they could not afford the wages that others were wiling to pay for a number 1. Last year they had the sense to seriously lower the team limit which meant teams had to employ some 3 point riders giving them their first chance of NL experience . This made the league itself far more competitive and interesting MDL and NJL are fine vehicles for helping riders develop.... but they are not paid and only receive help with fuel and if their lucky travel expenses..... A cheap second half for promoters whilst affording good experience for youngsters.
-
It is time for the NL to get back to being a training ground for new riders. Two ( maximium ) riders with experience to pass on knowledge and the rest as newcomers (1,2 or 3 years experience only )
-
It is no rumour. Planning permission is for meetings on Fridays and Saturdays ( as main days). Belle Vue were forced on to Mondays by the Greyhounds from their original Friday night.
-
You will see a different Hans riding for Poole compared to the one riding for Coventry in 2015.....one thing Ford is no fool ..
-
Feel certain that Newcastle will want Steve W next year
-
I hope that Glasgow ride on Friday as they wish to.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
KIRKYLANE replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
As long as Rob picks a set of racers , we will be due for top class racing yet again -
Whatever happens , Edinburgh's top 5 averages mean a break up with one definitely, possibly 2 riders departing
-
If it were up to me, Craig would be the first signing

Once again at a time when something radical needs to be done, slight tinkering for the benefit of certain promotions instead of the sport as a whole
