I was worried about Lawson early on in the season. He had 3 HT wins in 32 rides. But he has improved a lot since. These figures will change, but at the moment Just for an idea ... R 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Klindt 7.71 32 12 8 7 3 Picko 7.05 84 24 23 23 9 Lawson 6.27 89 23 32 18 10 Harris 8.41 111 48 21 28 9 I think Lawson on that kind of average isn't bad at all. If we can't get a big hitter, i'd be ok with these 3 plus Freddie.... Added Harris. If i had to choose between Klindt or Harris i think i would go Klindt on current aves. I would welcome Freddie back on 5.04 but will deffo rise after his 16 pointer the other night.

Does this mean Picko is staying..... From an article in todays Lynn News. “I do believe with the base we have now and the groundwork that has been done if we keep five out of the seven riders, that will put us in a very good position for next year." Maybe it's just the Matt Ford in me.

I don't know mate. Worst performance of the season when nothing mattered.. Might just be me

I wasn't there tonight, but you can't tell me Wolves would have been that bad if something was at stake. Masters, Morris ,Douglas and Becker 20 points from 18 rides
-
I wasn't there, But look at Wolves scores. Averages are worked out on the last ten meeting now i think. I might be wrong.

I'm leaving it tonight. Bit of rain around there today. Hope you get 2 winners. Had a cheeky fiver on a Lynn draw @13.00 for a bit of interest while i watch the updates come in. I didn't go tonight. Good luck.

It's the AFA and yes about with about 3,000 to spare.

No online tickets tonight. King’s Lynn can confirm there will be no online ticket sales for Thursday’s Premiership fixture against Wolverhampton. All tickets will be pay on the night at the stadium, and there is plenty of capacity. We look forward to seeing everyone later for what should be an exciting night of racing.

I just had a gander at the stats. Harris has 48 heat wins, 26 at home and 22 away, compared to Picko with 24 heat wins, 13 home and 11 away

I know. I watched a video of him trying an 85cc bike the other day, and giving the kids a race. Made their day.. -
British Final 2022
Bald Bloke replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Surely if Dan was asked the other 2 where. If they said no or didn't ask then it looks pretty sad.. Woffy did say he had a lovely house in Poland and Aussie, and that one had been empty for 2 years and he was looking forward to getting back there for a break from speedway . Think we are small fry now. He's made his money, and still making it. Lambert i don't know... -
At the moment TJ 5.78, Basso 5.91... Lawson 6.27, MPT 6,87 I'd take Basso and Lawson, and Picko as a start.

That would help with tyre wear. But what is causing the tyres to fall to bits is a carcass issue.
-
Thats about it. The tyre wear is due to this, the rubber compound is very soft and thats what causes the tyre/tread to wear more than other tracks, But the carcass of the tyre isn't up to it either. It's not reinforced enough, which is causing the tyre to fall to bits imho
-
I said on the Panthers thread back a month or so when we had tyregate. The carcass construction seems to be the problem. Yes the Showground is hard on tyres, but it is possible in 2022 to make a tyre that don't fall to bits. If the carcass was strong enough the tyre wouldn't rip. The tread is just the soft compound, and could be replaced by a harder compound rubber, which would help with wear. But the problem lies in the construction of the carcass. Needs to be reinforced with steel banding to hold it together. I've seen drift car tyres last well over an hour drifting on concrete. If you cut through a speedway tyre, i bet it don't look like this. Yes it will be a bit heavier, but it will be safer. Thats my opinion on the issue.

Behave .... I see where your coming from when you say you wouldn't mind a fresh 1-7 if it came to it.
-
I wouldn't touch Harris, he's on 8.49. Second behind JD in the aves . Tofty 6.87, i'd rather Lawson 6.27. I'd take Basso
