Kings Lynn vs Sheffield - Monday 22nd April
Bald Bloke replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I might be in the minority, with Tom in for Ben Basso, is a like for like with the form Toms in. NKI has started the season really bad. Lawson is a big improvement. It was going to strengthen us. I think there might be something else going on. -

I was adding a bit to my post when you posted lol "Totally agree. There must be something going on behind the scenes. The form Tom is in, he should of covered for Ben. While Puk has scored 9 points from 2 meetings, with 5 of them coming from 2 heat 8's. Lawson was a big improvement. The mind boggles." Added "Klindt will fit for MPT or Paddy before our next scheduled home meeting in early May. But no better than Lawson for Puk tomorrow " -

So if he comes through that, he will taking his place tomorrow?. Are the concussion rules the same here as Poland? Lawson is/was booked for him. It would be better for the Stars if Puk has a slight "reaction" today -

Bombers average is to high at 6.89. With the +5% home guest rule, we have 6.66 for Ben, and 6.86 for NKI. Lawson is 6.67 so is in for Niels. Tom fits for Ben, if 2 guests are allowed for your 3rd and 4th place riders in your averages. I'm not sure without looking it up. -

At the end of the month he should fit for MPT or Patryk the way the averages are heading. Or for NKI now, but i would wait. -

If we loose at home on Monday at home the Sheffield, that will be 4 meeting gone already. The trouble is, you could argue that 5 of our riders have started poorly. Although Vadim had a mare with bike issues, he averaged 7 in his first 2 meetings. I know its to early for stats, but it just highlights how bad some riders have started .Up to date Ben 7.50, Toby 6.40,Vad 5.85 Anders 5,43 ,NKI 4.50, MPT 3.43, Patryk 3.00. I'd keep Toby, Vad, Ben, and Anders, as i think Toby and Vad will come good. The other 3 riders would be on borrowed time for me. Probably harsh at this stage, but top 4 will pass us by before you know it. -

I could see this coming. I posted at the beginning of the week on the Aces v Stars tread. Loose at home on Monday, and the 1st 5 meetings gone already. For me, I worry about Niels, MPT, and Patryk, at this stage. Although the latter showed what he can do at the Showground last season, so I’d give him a bit more time. Klindts average is a tad to high for MPT or Paddy. Off the top of my head I think we are 1.42 under the limit as it stands. I don’t think mustard is the right word, for Vad and Paddy. maybe expected them to add a little to their averages, which they might yet. Rob must of had a say in team building ? -

I'm hoping Patryk Wojdylo can get a decent return tonight, if he can make a few starts on a big track that could suit him .Although he scored 3 from reserve on his first visit there last season. -

By what heat? 13 or 14 ? I cant see past Toby and Vadim 19 ,Tom and MPT 9, Reserves 7 myself. Hope i'm proved wrong though. -

Lawson gives us a good chance of bagging 2 points in the home meeting. Lets see how close we can keep tomorrow -

To be honest, i don't think it will make much difference to outcome of the meeting.. Puk hasn't had a great start to the season. With RR everyone apart from Toby can take a ride, or maybe Scott, Brennen at No.2 ? -

We are on 38.58. We have 1.42 to play with. Klindt is 1.55 higher than MPT. So not yet. I'm not sure if i would do it myself this early, what with Klindts bad injury at the end of last season. He started last year of badly as well. But as you say finished the season the season much better. -
Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024
Bald Bloke replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I know its early days( 2 meetings). For me, it's just that I'm so keen for this team to do well this season. There was a good crowd at the AFA on Thursday. Winning teams attract better crowds, which we desperately need, after the dwindling crowds of the last few years. We only lost at Leicester by 5 points, with Toby and NKI scoring 5 points each. We where 4 points up at home to BV after 12 heats, and lost by 6. Toby 7, NKI 4, Patryk 2. I know the riders are trying their best, and might be a bit rusty, but we wasn't far off of getting something from those 2 meetings. It frustrated me, im sure Rob would feel the same. Lets get some more meetings under our belt, and see how we are doing. -

Yep.. I see where your coming from Baggy. It has been a tough start, with the 2 home rain offs. I wont be to harsh. It could give a slightly false impression after the first 5 meetings. As long as we can keep it close away, we could pick up a few agg points in the returns. Harris and Lawson verbally agreed to ride here this season, early doors, only to change their minds. If my sums are correct, they would of just fitted for NKI and Tofty. Title winning side there imho. If only..... -

Bald Bloke replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree. Lets hope some riders get dialled in ASAP. Toby, Paddy, MPT and NKI are falling short early doors.. I'm sure Toby will be fine, as will Paddy W. We need a 6 point average from MPT and 7 for NKI, over the season. As i said in an earlier post, i will judge them after 5 meetings. It don't seem long, but if you want to actually compete for top 4, it's a good chunk out of the league matches... With the teams so close, you need to be ruthless if you really want to compete -

Bald Bloke replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He's 30 i think. But will up his average this season. Very early days yet. NKI scored 9 in the Peter Craven memorial meeting, which was a good start. But out of his 9 points in 2 league meetings so far, 5 points have come from HT8. As i said, very early days. But by the time our next home meeting comes around on the 22nd against Sheffield, we could well of lost our first 4 meetings (3 away, 1 home). Loosing the Sheffield meeting would be a disaster. It's a must win, as well as running our away meetings close. I'll look at the riders stats after the 5th meeting, before i get on any riders case though. -

Bald Bloke replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Normally id go for something like 50-40. But given MPT's spill and the lack of track time at home, i can see this one going either way tbh. I expect BV to be the sharper of the 2 teams early doors. Heats 13 and 15 could be tough for the Stars as well. Hoping Vadim and Toby are both on it tonight. Can't make it, so will be watching the updates come in. Lovely evening for it. Come on u Stars ....... -

100%.. If we are serious of a play off place, we can't f00k about for a few quid. If Lynn have a crap year with this team (not cheap), the fans will continue to dwindle. End of King's Lynn maybe ? We know Buster wants out.. Profit might keep him interested.. -
