  1. Very rarely. They always pick Rangers and Celtic for coverage in cup competitions. Devastated when they draw each other.
  2. BSN are improving. Hopefully last time Havelock is on co comms.
  3. They can ride for Plymouth or guest for Ulrich.
  4. Was one not a cup match. Perhaps 2 successive league matches?
  5. Craig Cook finished 4th in GP challenge. Made Grand Prix as Dudek finished in top 6
  6. Sam started well but as a previous post suggest flagged a bit in his last 2 rides. A courageous performance from the captain on a heavy track. Paco best rider tonight. When he didn’t come round after his last race and headed to pits I thought he was a certainty for heat 15. Poor management IMO. Castagna merited heat 15. Only dropped a point, paid 11. Manager should have put him in last heat.
  7. Well done boys. think we should tell Paco every race he is in is heat 14. Sam rumoured to be back Friday. Hope not a gamble.
  8. Would agree to a certain extent but the track curator has a duty of care to the riders to provide a track that is safe. They in turn can race. Cardiff is a vibrant city and I enjoy my trips there. Some hotels have trebled their prices from the 2020 ones. Never been to a Grand Prix abroad but I think it is something many folk would consider for next year.
  9. Would be great if you could purchase riders merchandise too. Woffy had a very professional stall opposite the stadium and Dan’s Dad was selling his stuff near there too. Didn’t see anyone else.
  10. Went to the pairs. Firstly, great to see Oxford back in Speedway. Only a few good races. Partly due to dilution of field, injuries, Cardiff duty etc. Edinburgh had no chance when both Sam and Josh ruled out. Many congratulations to Redcar, you can only beat what’s in front of you. It seems to be set in stone that the pairs now seems to be night before Cardiff GP. Why? If a stand alone meet, venue could vary from year to year. Hey even have it at the NATIONAL Speedway Stadium.
  11. Well aware they get FIVE ! programmed rides. My point is there may have been a clear winner if they had got to four rides each.
  12. The thing that astounds me is that there was no provision put in place for any possibility weather wise BEFORE the meeting. Manchester is hardly noted for being sunny and dry all year round. If rain forecast no parade. Just possibly could have got to each rider having his four programmed rides. You could argue Ellis didn’t get a chance to ride at Cardiff last year. If he was in the mix there would have been less of an outcry. Perhaps people need to take off their (insert colour of team) tinted glasses and say what would have been a fair decision. Don’t call out Ellis. What rider would turn it down? Call out the powers that be who had no provision in place.
  13. Hard to get neutral venue. At least it’s at a track that is in a different league. Pairs in the past have been at Glasgow, Workington, Somerset and now this year Oxford - 2nd tier division tracks. Could have had a 4TT final with best 2nd place team being the 4th qualifying team.
  14. No. Just my opinion Gazc. Haven’t heard who Monarch’s guest is. Can’t see anyone matching Masters scoring potential.
  15. Glasgow should win by a canter tonight. Think they are home and hosed and will top the league. Can’t see Monarchs getting enough tomorrow to finish top. Would have been a farce if Josh had ridden tonight.
  16. Sitting in the cow shed on 3/4 bend totally agree. Like Ulrich but far too aggressive last night firstly on Kye then Paco. Best wishes to Sam who was having surgery last night, Lasse and Cookie.
  17. Very weak at reserve if these changes were made.
  18. Wow. Didn’t realise how close it was to the coast.
  19. Delighted that we won. Bit nervous sitting with the phone on Monarchs updates. Watching GP at same time and that went out the window. Big get out of jail card for Monarchs. If Cookie hadn’t had bike gremlins on Saturday Glasgow would have been in semis. Never thought Sedgy would have passed Tom. Ironically the fortunes and misfortunes of 2 blue and gold legends decided the match. Strange decision by Cami Brown not to track Nicol in heat 14, perhaps influenced by the fact it was Paco for Monarchs. An overall win and I’ll take it but didn’t feel the same with only three of our boys in the team.Hope Kye okay.
  20. Need Richard Lawson to have the gating gloves on and score round about 13 mark. Hope I’m wrong but can’t see other 5 scoring 25 points between them. time for Paco to step up to the plate away from home.
  21. We went to Workington in Cup a few years ago with a so called “unassailable lead” and got thumped. Sam and Josh couldn’t have done any more last night.
  22. Cheap shot. The guy served Edinburgh well for years.
