A lot will depend on the track conditions (if) they get it right then we will see some cracking racing and a powerful performance from Panthers . Don't be fooled by Sunday's result , Scunthorpe don't have anywhere near the power of Coventry or a Danny King or Kenny Bjerre and will find the going a little bit tougher than maybe they are expecting, all in all it has the makings of a good meeting -

I would be more worried about what Sheffield are going to do to the Witches if I was in your shoes , top 2 finish for the tigers IMO. -
Well I have no complaints about what Rick Frost tried to achieve at Peterborough and who could blame him for eventually pulling out of promoting the way he was treated by the BSPA mafia . Peterborough and Coventry wanted rule changes for the good of speedway equality for all teams instead they were treated like convicts on the run and the speedway star backed every word they said without having a view of there own in short no backbone a spineless magazine looking through ivory spectacles , I even wrote to them and asked them to publish a view of how they saw the situation and got absolutely no reaction , hence I have never bought a copy since. As for Kings Lynn and Birmingham promotions they really should have known better and stood by there fellow promoters and done the gentlemanly thing instead they got greedy and went for the 30 pieces of silver on offer from sky and in doing so almost put 2 clubs out of business.

Why don't you start knocking other clubs for parking charges. £1 seems reasonable to me compared to what others charge . As an example Edinburgh charge £2 there not alone in charging over £1 there are others. Peterborough has a proper hard standing car park not all others are up to this standard including your once beloved Kings Lynn.

My major concern is will the track be in good shape with a good top dressing of shale, I think the top dressing on Sunday must have come from a broken down egg timer . If they can't get it right which often seems the case then they should look to bring in someone who knows what they are doing .There are a few good one's about with the experience and knowledge of how to prepare a track surface and yet at the showground we have one of the best racing circuits in the country the track has been laser levelled to take out all the humps and bumps to create a nice smooth surface and yet after 6 races on Sunday we had a blue groove riders busting a gut around the outside going backwards , sorry but I find this totally unacceptable . Sunday should have been a showcase for Peterborough in front of a bumper crowd which was let down by a poor track surface which seem devoid of shale , hence we had tractor racing after every 2 races , I can understand the need for regular watering as it was quite windy , but grading after every 2 races, who wants to see that. -

Carl Johnson has said they may tweak the team around for Friday and also do some work on the track. well I hope we don't turn up to find a blue groove halfway through the meeting again , as there will be a lot of unhappy supporters given we have a team of racers but not enough shale on track to do what they have been brought in to do, so 'd like to see the riders given a grippy track with plenty of shale on it but I'm not holding my breath. -

As you didn't attend the meeting what makes you think that you're qualified to give an opinion on who 's not good enough and just one meeting against a far superior team you want team changes , what have you been taking . -

It has nothing to do with not liking him, just stating how the correct order should have read . It's the referee Christina Turnbull that I dislike , it's time she took early retirement. Centre of stand about 3 rows from the top and people around me were surprised with the Lambert decision but not too bothered with the other one as it didn't effect any change in the scoring. -

In heat 7 L Bjerre should have been 2nd and Garrity should have been 3rd . Also in heat 10 Lambert should have been 2nd and Garrity 3rd -

Biggest let down for me was referee Christina Turnbull she missed at least a couple of races where riders got a rolling start , twice she got the finishing order of racing wrong and to bring all four riders back for an unsatisfactory start in heat one just as riders where exiting second bend was beyond belief , think she needs to go to specsavers or pack up altogether. The track wasn't brilliant seemed quite slick and a blue groove developed mid meeting on the fourth bend but i suppose it's still bedding in and should I hope ride a lot better on Friday. Generally it was a good meeting with large crowd against a very strong Coventry line up and it was good to see Ged go over to the Bees supporters on the back straight and give them a round of applause. -
As Mick Horton was promoting at both Peterborough and Coventry at the time , who did he seek permission from, himself . I bet he didn't get it from Rick Frost who owned and bought the air-fence as well as being sole owner of Peterborough speedway.
-
Nothing fanciful about my previous statement as I suggested Coventry borrowed( PARTS ) of the air fence.
-
What ? I think you've got you're twickers in a nest. Thank you, I didn't think it was that hard to understand either .
-
Sorry mate that is a defeatist attitude we should not let the Poles or any other nation walk all over us , we need to stand and tell them it's not on .
-
The air fence at the showground has been yellow and black for sometime now, it is not Coventry's that you seem to be sarcastically pertaining it to be and the only connection it has with Coventry is Mick Horton conveniently borrowed parts of it without bothering to return them and as far as I am aware your shale went to Kirky lane. Hope that answers you're sarcasm . I should also like to know what makes you think the air fence has to be a particular colour that has to be in line with teams colours.

I had no trouble with the p/a system there in 2015 when I won the £100 draw sitting in the home straight stand , it was a miserable night with Panthers getting a thrashing but it did cheer me up when the draw result was announced.

Not sure about allowance from showground management you could well be correct as there as never been a kerb from day 1 in 1970 just a white line strip.
