the first" track shape"to be worked out will be that of the greyhound track,the speedway will then have to work within those constraints,so not a total blank canvass,but still some room to work with,track width,camber etc,think they will be hoping to resolve the drainage issues between the two surfaces as a priorty

in the past boycie prepared some engines specifically for poole that the promotion loaned to riders

correct me if im wrong daniel but it all depends on a 20 match rolling ave what you scored on the meeting thats being dropped,eg a rider with 7pt ave could have a good meeting and score 9 from4 but if in the meeting he s dropping he scored 12 from 4 his 7pt ave would drop fractionally,or if a 5pt rider had a bad meeting and only scored 3 his ave would go up fractionlly if in the meeting he s dropping he didnt score at all

so do we assume poole also wont be trying to win their final league match next wed? if not apart from the few diehards on this forum is it really worth the general public bothering to turn up to watch?

think the target should be finishing top skids,not merely qualifying,obvious advantage in choice of opponents but possible massive financial gain in having the second and deciding legs at wimborne rd

try and understand it was not a mid morning meeting,not thats it anything to do with you but why after a previous days heavy rain would it have been so dusty and why so many holes?

speedway never as good daytime,not a rider but think track was pretty dire,doyle hit the hole on the first bend when going to win ht 15 by half the track took an almighty whack as the bike lifted,harris hit a big hole between 3 \4 when on a poole 5-1,worral said couldnt ride the track,notice after racing they were shoveling grit into the hole doyle hit and trying to pack it in.have to say gary may (who every wk for 10 yrs or more stood with his wife who is brilliant with poole sponsers just in front of us)is constantly working the changes and i would put him the best team manager in the prem league,big fan of adams at wolves but hes lost that cutting edge

if scott nicholls was the main instigator as is being suggested (i have no idea if this is true) for having the meeting abandoned,he could have reasoned that the way he was riding last night he wasnt going to lose much if any points money from the rest of the meeting!! alternatively he could have had an early appointment today with his tailor re a suitable shirt for sats gp lol

a few around us thought after the grading had finished a rider from each team could have done a couple of laps to test the track,but low and behold it was abandoned after the tractor had only done 2 laps, tho the track was already looking perfect!! there were people round us booing who i never would have expected to,such was the strong feeling,you cant keep taking the pixx out of people and expect them to pay decent money for the privilege
