Poole vs BV. Premiership. 27/06/19
poole keith replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
probably mark lemon looked at it and readily agreed to the 10-15 cut off point, realising no way would the last few heats be run but that paul starke would have to take 3 consecutive rides and that would edge the advantage to the aces,a view i would have to agree with however paul got the all important point to win the match -
from what ive been told thats a very good question ray
-
maybe a deal with sheffield "buy one get one free"
-
a possible explanation arthur could be that as you know the meeting sponsors watch the last 2or 3 races from the centregreen then present the rider of the night award, last night rotn was announced, sponsors went on finishing line to present trophy, waited and waited with photographer, no rider arrived ! announcer then said"oh well youll have to give nicoli the trophy in the grandstand",so they trundled off through the long grass, trophy in hand, to the grandstand(klindt is so good with fans it must be bad organisation or communication by organisers)Understand crowd was indeed around the 1000
-
i know the new co promoters are having to quickly find their feet but it would have made sense to make sure the grader was actually available before announcing in the press that said grader would be in action during this fixture break
-
at the track today "extensive"work not done this wk, arrival of road grader postponed for a few wks, track to my unqualified eye looks good but according to the guys the top surface is basically just dust, and matt been told this wk theyve nothing to work with
-
looking at me and the crowd around me in the old grandstand it would be almost impossible not to be "younger and prettier" !!
-
didnt each home rider throw one t-shirt into the crowd so only seven, easily missed,or were there more thrown which i missed?? thought it was instead of the 300 free easter eggs given to kids in the past!!
-
but surely the poole promoters should look after their supporters and provide the information they require and not send them to another site ??

PSC • King’s Lynn v Swindon Robins • 29/04

have no stats to support it,but always felt that teams built in such a way as to always have one strong reserve throughout the season would "do better" -
Peterborough v Kings Lynn Prem Mon April 22nd
poole keith replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
cant believe peterborough or indeed any speedway club could possibly do a worse job than the the poole management and promotion did 3 days ago -
skidder youve got to stop trying to defend the indefensible, youve got to be honest and admit it was disgusting, the people that will presumably look for credit when things go well must have the nuts to take and admit responsibilty for the "cock up"Spoke to two significant sponsors in the last 48 hrs both totally disgusted, one says he went into the pits to ask middlo who won heat 13 cause he couldnt see!!them and me will all be at the next meeting, thats what we do! but if certain people put their hands up and were honest it would have helped

no superstars this yr wtg, probably a couple who think theyre better than they actually are!

Poole v Kings Lynn. 11/4/2019 Shield 2nd leg
poole keith replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
have a feeling it will be very well supported not necessarily because everyone is a middlo fan but think it will be a high class field with some of our favourite riders returning for a one off spin,eg love to see magic again, even nikki p would be agreat draw! (hope they dont go silly and charge 20 quid or more, perhaps under 16s free!!) -

bought two pints of draught cider on weds for daughter and her friend cost £9.20!! however the shock was a pint of draught coke for myself cost £4.40,so skids the bars could stay open all night but wont get another penny from me(know its not speedways fault) -
i agree it seems to be the case that greatly reduced admissions or free entry for all hasnt resulted in increased attendances at future meetings, however i disagree regarding deals or free admissions for children, that policy must help so many families and surely is one of the ways to actually "build long term attendance" Of course if its too expensive for the whole family to attend mum decides that none of them are going! now that does affect the "financial bottom line"
-
wolves surely have to go with thorsell if hes fit,be amazed if they dont
-
wow thats a depressing list harry!! never realised, can it possibly go any lower than 14? promoters might argue theyve reduced costs, but theyve also greatly reduced their opportunitys to make money
-
quite agree, i think it is essential that when a speedway club holds a public meeting for supporters that everything is kept secret,we dont want every tom, dick or harry in the area hearing about poole speedway
