  1. perhaps pirates could ride their home matches at said track, solve both problems ha ha
  2. that would quickly become matts most embarrassing moment in speedway lol
  3. spoke to some permanent stadium employees today who confirmed there was no rain at the stadium all day and that bends 1 and 2 had puddles of water early am but instead of brushing off the water the track was bladed then rolled so 1st 2 bends were hard on top but mush underneath, nothing to do with rain on the day or high tides!! i was informed that the track curator was sacked that day as i posted on the day.i was told that people were still being turned away at 7.30 would have been a bumper much needed crowd.Matt was heard saying it was his most embarrassing moment in speedway,i feel for any speedway promoter that suffers such a hit through no fault of their own,i understand extensive work is planned for next week and im sure all genuine speedway fans hope its successful
  4. starman your slipping into "rude mode" go out for a relaxing stroll, this is a very embarrassing situation for poole speedway and difficult to justify im afraid us poole fans are just going to have to take the stick on the chin, and hope the track is not going to be an ongoing problem,if the track is back to how it was at the end of last season repairs are not going to be easy or cheap!! ( pssst anyone wanna buy a speedway team lol)
  5. agree looked a very good crowd, long queues. At the track last night neil who helps glyn taylor, does most of the tractor driving i believe told me he wasnt coming in today??this could have bad repercussions for the club in what has been a disastrous season financially, feel for matt(i would have sacked mr taylor at 6.30)
  6. agreed, shouldnt the team manager take some blame for sundstroms error though???
  7. dont think anyone would argue with that statement gavan as put simply, its correct.i fully expected at least half the poole team to increase their starting averages and pretty obviously shanes would then have been no7 all season,no alternative.its still a team that could massively improve though.
  8. that old saying "be carefull what you wish for" is relevant to poole supporters at the moment, forget a new no1,stick with what we have except one change, subject to figures redeclare and bring in a 5/6pt rider to replace poor stefan, real strength in depth.Worral permanent for holder, remember last yrs "team strengthening"!!
  9. you made a mistake starman not a big deal, just write" oops sorry my mistake" dont continue the argument with endless twists and meaningless comments
  10. but semion your forgetting the stock reply from a few, that all riders want to ride for poole and all riders perform their best at poole ha ha
  11. looking at the crowd again last night bringing in a big hitting very expensive no1 would be gamble,a decision i wouldnt like to have to make(unless he`ll ride for 50 quid a point and a tankfull of petrol !!)
  12. all on our table had wrote in kk for tr, nailed on 5-1,then after harris fall on another 5-1,just brilliant to somehow get 3 league pts
  13. seem to remember the kids football didnt go down very well the last time it was tried,i wont bother to watch but dont suppose it will do any harm, hardly a marketing coup, will they enter the arena to the sounds of the marching band? first time the kids will have heard anything like that, could scar them for life lol
  14. think matt is hoping for a big home win and a big crowd.not in that order!!!
  15. perhaps for this thread only, anyone who makes a post not directly related to young mitchells injury should be made to donate£10 to the fund for each infringement, dont know if this post qualifies as such but will pay my £10 anyway(can someone put up a link as to where i can post a cheque, old fashioned i know)
  16. hope theres a collection for him wed at poole
  17. hoping richie does well, if not we know it wont be through lack of effort or commitment, however the post was actually about kildermand being a better rider than richie, which in my opinion he is im assuming you disagree which is fair enough.re the holder situation i dont think anyone is in a position to make a confident prediction re timescales or even outcome! I do seem to remember you making confident predictions that kildermand wouldnt ride in any league matches for poole.(remember keep any response polite and stay calm)
  18. i certainly dont see it as"lower league crap" i thoroughly enjoyed pooles spell in the second tier, was poole your team back then?genuine question hoping (probably mistakenly)for a non toxic reply
  19. i assume skidder you are referring to gavans post above yours in which he made three points, firstly kildermand is a better rider than richie(availability is irrelevant) i agree, secondly poole team changes recently have been at best useless, i agree and finally that richie is british and he supports him, i agree, hardly the ramblings of an idiot!
  20. jeez how crazy everybody knows why ch cant ride in uk
  21. attendance not great, track seemed good, initially racing somewhat processional but got much better, doyle rode and won like the world champion he is,overall an enjoyable meeting, though bloody cold
  22. amazing how these meetings seem to always deteriorate as start time approaches
