pooles season starts from tonight,good crowd, great atmosphere developed as the meeting progressed,the riders seemed well pleased and rode as a team and loved the support they were getting.great nite

if oxford stadium reopened for dogs and speedway the speedway team would be oxford not swindon,the dogs however are different swindons dog operation could easily be moved to oxford

suggesting you can water the speedway track whilst the dog meeting is in progress is simply ludicrous

not worried about the team its a decent competitive side,just hope for the good of poole speedway,and speedway in general that tomorrows meeting is problem free

i dont think this yrs poole team is the result of a dastardly or even cunning plan,its a team which has just evolved through a combination of circumstance ie legal wrangles,injuries underperformers,limited availabilitys ,financial restraints and hey ho we end up with a competitive team

in recent yrs building a team without at least one strong reserve,all season, has been a real risk,and the poole team with no superstar no 1 a rider like klindt is essential,and of course attainable because of the pts saved at no1.

not doubting the quality of your post steve,however i believe starman is correct "its to long" the nature of these sports forums is "short and sweet"(well not always "sweet")

the stadium car parks were moved into the poole "development plan" by the council planners but not the stadium itself.been to a few meetings unrelated to speedway chaired by clarke osborne and would be certain he has not the slightest desire to own the site steve,however some development of car park area would presumably interest,believe the council are also interested as they are way behind in" new build" targets set by westminster,so could be mutually beneficial !!!!

stick with the team as it is,no no1 but very solid,stick with them and see where we end up

stadia uk have a long lease from the council for the complex,the speedway sublets from them, the details of that would be private but i do know talks on rent,staffing etc have at times been shall we say tense.

very good post,he has to give a reason for selling,cant say " speedways in real trouble,my profits are way down,i need to get out and will take the best offer i get" so just say people want me out and want a change,im still a fan but i will go. ps had some simply wonderfull evenings at wimborne rd under his rule and watched some fantastically brilliant riders,the like of which we probably will never see in british league speedway again

in a tight league with no outstanding team one point gained from away matches is more important than in previous yrs, by the same logic winning your home matches "3-0" instead of only gaining a 2pt advantage is imperative and matt and the team manager must fervently encourage the team to produce "3-0s"for the rest of the season,could be critical.big away 4pointers would be great but dont seem plentiful.a top four place is well within reach for pirates and whatever teams make this yrs play-offs they will all be capable of beating each other,exciting times!!
