All of us have great memories of Ivan which is wonderful my biggest memory of Ivan was him turning up in a lovely van with his bikes spotless the complete package. We all know it did not start like that in his career he had to go home regroup and comeback stronger and so he did i am honoured to have seen Ivan ride at his peak. And there won't be another like him certainly he was a one off he was confident and certainly opinionated but was so humble and down to earth great with the fans. The GPS now he would of loved them been in his element, and he would probably have won more than six titles.

The Greatest and this is coming from a Briggo fan what a rider took the sport to another level a gent as well RIP Ivan. -
How do you know how much Worrall will improve ? are you that thick not to realise he has come up through from being in the third tier to where he is today.Certainly he is in the top three British riders possibly the best rider in the Championship and going by this year before his injury he had improved again. In one post you had King ( ok he won a British title a great achievement) Lambert in front of Worrall at this precise time he is in front of those two riders.Worrall before his injury had upped his game and he was not riding like a 6.6 rider.

Says it all in Black / White for me we are not on about the PAST we are on about now !!! the Poole v Belle Vue match you said Worrall would not be missed of course he was.On this forum when people make a statement commit there selves you are one of the few i take no notice of for me you are limited in your knowledge and it will be nice when Steve Worrall comes back and does well.

It would be nice if SS confirmed to us what is his real opinion of Steve was as you said Gorton there are only two options.Either he is on a total wind up or he is someone who obviously does not know his Speedway which is it.? Going back to Steve it looks hopeful that he could get back earlier than anticipated i really hope so his fitness levels are so high and with lots of treatment in the Oxygen chamber could the British Final be to soon.?

It should be a routine home win i just hope the Robins put in a decent performance for me we have to win all our home matches and keep it tight away.Kurtz has started the season well just like ( Fricke good today again in Poland love it that he now attacks the outside line) Morris will be fine and i am confident Nick will be scoring double figures regularly.

Thanks Skidder be nice if you could give us a brief report on every home meeting great stuff what do you think the gate was ? 1800/2000 maybe.?
-
I think the best thing for both of us is not to bother with SS as you said Gavan the rest of the Poole supporters are decent passionate people who can be civil Ray ( etc)who can be all impartial.Be nice if one of the other Poole fans can give us a unbiased match report of there meetings maybe Skidder, Foreverblue, Ray maybe.?

I was down at the pits at 7 o'clock and the mist and the moisture in the air was really deceiving, the track looked decent for the amount of rain it had taken in the week.I was more worried about the fog than the track but heat 1 was bad but it could of been a lot worse i wish Martin a speedy recovery and hope he gets back soon. One thing that did hit home to me last night was how much the riders risk everytime to race to entertain us all -
Its Lidsey so get it right they obviously know he has talent and they would be able to gage his progress up against Jack Holder/Kurtz at the same stage of there careers .So with his lack of experience that tells you something they must think a lot of him.

Bart was very promising and was still riding not so long ago Gene Woods and Keith Chrisco were two others that given time would of improved in the U.K. -

Both Bast brothers won 9 USA National titles between them something really to be proud of we have all wondered how Mike would of done in Britain i felt Wimbledon would of been right for him.He could of had a great career in the UK. Alan Christian and Jeff Sexton are two other Americans who could of been a success in UK. -

Nobody that i spoke to before the meeting breathed a word of the track being unsafe to ride the mist and air is so deceiving. The track by 7.30 did look raceable but heat 1 they went off hell for leather and they paid the price a recipe for disaster.. -

Steve quoted me early on that he knew his speedway i said he was limited he wins his quiz Bingo night out everyear at Poole so he must be right .!!, -
I don't part People can see you for what you are and as Gavan says that is a shame because 99 per cent of the Poole supporters are decent people.I don't hate Poole and i have always been a fan of Middlo he is Poole through and through but you when you talk Speedway you are pretty limited. The thing is i can remember when Poole had poor sides so yes i admire some of what they have done over the years and yes they would be up there in the roll of honour behind Belle Vue, 1972 certainly on par with Coventry and Wolves also the Cradley 83 side( better than any Poole side). It is such a shame that you ruin it for the decent Poole folk who love there speedway and who can be impartial as well.

Your comment about Steve Worrall tells us everything about you very childish to be honest . And who has ever bigged up Steve ? i haven't all i have said was that Steve was going to be a huge loss but for you to have a big downer on Worrall is so weird as you could not wish to meet a more level headed modest professional rider.
-
You would have to say Blue hand on heart that was a weakened Belle Vue side last night also Belle Vue having guests is not ideal people will now get to realise Worrall is a huge loss.Scunthorpe also will suffer badly in the next few weeks especially away from home and both teams will suffer. My only gripe was that a certain poster belittled Worrall and never give him the credit for starting in the sport as a Third tier novice and ending up as a England International. He probably now is the No 1 rider in the Championship and making huge progress with the Aces just hope when he comes back he can carry on his progression a big ask i believe.
-
I tell you something Aces what a performance that was to keep it as close as you did i feared it could of been a big home win.Fricke has scored 36 points from three meetings and fingers crossed he can push on Max and Kurtz are both knocking on the door of the GP series but Cook/ Worrall were both huge misses tonight.Poole will be mighty hard to beat at home but away it won't be a cakewalk at certain tracks interesting times ahead the Robins at least beat a full strength Aces team at home that augers well for us.

Will Steady be at Sheffield ? i fancy a home win tonight by six points or more this Leicester side is fancied by a lot of .people but Vaculik and Pieszczek will need time to adjust. Both are class acts and I am really looking forward to seeing how they both fare tonight Swindon have to win there home matches to have any chance of making the play/offs. -

Had a very wealthy family so his aquipment was top notch he just didn't adjust. What was quite amazing at the time 1973 he was mentioned as a replacement for Barry Briggs really.!!!
