  1. He has posted on facebook asking about what time the bar will close after meetings & suggesting that he could maybe organise a lock in .
  2. So Leicester sign an novice who has never even ridden in the NDL in Danny Woodward but instead of knuckling down & trying to make a career in the sport professionally . Before he has even turned a wheel for the club he has made it clear he is more interested in drinking in the bar then racing for the club. Not a good way to introduce yourself to your 1st club & set a good impression. If you want to have a few drinks & get drunk then stay at home & go pub with your friends. We only want committed people riding for our club there are plenty of YOUNG & UPCOMING riders who would kill to have your team place which is what the NDL should be all about.
  3. BSC are liable for any repairs & up keep of the actual stadium buildings, stands & the land. So the missing canvas falls on BSC for the repairs. The current promotion are liable to repairs to items related to speedway. Tractor’s, pits area , air fence etc Last i heard speaking to Mr Bates Snr at Glasgow play off match next season there will be extra turnstiles opened for high attended meetings & they were in discussions with the shopping centre about using the shopping centre car park with a charge to park which would waiver the 4 hour limit.
  4. I do hope your opinion of me has changed for the better. Kent accepted, Plymouth declined. Kent will indicate their intention to run in both leagues at the NDL AGM, Which is what Rob Godfrey indicates in his section on the NDL .
  5. Yes I am certain that Leicester are running NDL the team manager & promotor both said at the end of season presentation evening it had been a huge success on the track , it filled alot of blank dates & they looked forward to defending the title in 2020.
  6. At no point did I say Birmingham/Eastbourne were requested to field a NDL side in 2019 because they still had a good sized NDL league without them because Leicester entered a team. Poole will not be required to field a NDL side because they didn’t run one in 2019 so it has no effect. But for Kent/Plymouth it will be a condition of acceptance because if they step up then it would likely lead to the collapse of the NDL league . For the same reason Leicester are running an NDL side in 2020 to keep the momentum of youth progress coming through the ranks & to keep the league alive with only 1 team less then 2019 who sadly closed (Stoke).
  7. My understanding is that Poole have been accepted into the league & I know they have already made signings . There will only be one more team accepted so it is between Kent & Plymouth who will both pitch the the other 11 teams their business plan & intentions for stepping up to ensure that whichever club comes up is sustainable. I also hear that one of the conditions of acceptance will be they have to also remain in the NDL.
  8. Leicester 2020 on current 42.50 limit 1. Ryan Douglas 2. Ashley Morris 3. Kyle Howarth 4. Lasse Bjerre 5. Aaron Summers 6. Connor Mountain 7. Danyon Hume
  9. Just remind me again how many Glasgow matches did Jim appoint HIMSELF to over the season ??? I am informed it was nearing to half Glasgow’s league fixtures over the season home or away #friendsinhighplaces All the Glasgow fans that came to Leicester on Saturday & the ones that i met on Tuesday were very gracious in admitting the best team won but you my friend look like a lemon bitter. Next you will be telling me Cami Brown deserves the freedom of Glasgow for managing the team that nearly won the league again
  10. If Glasgow didn’t have Scottish referee Jim McGregor looking after them in the league match at Glasgow vs Leicester then Leicester would have won there some very dubious decisions then in heat 15 Harris cleared crossed the line before the Glasgow rider. So your argument is irrelevant. Face facts Leicester were the better team over the whole season when it came to the play off’s they were not scared they picked the 2nd strongest team in the league Redcar for their semi final opponents because they feared no-one. More league points More League Wins More points scored Less points conceded Better scores in the play off’s More injuries How can anyone say that Leicester were not the better side over the season
  11. Leicester Rider of the year - Ellis Perks Most impressive against us - Sam Masters Most surprising against us - Simon Lambert
  12. This was the earliest possible date. They can’t run this week because the National League team have their play off Semi Final & Cup Semi Final
  13. I understand that Leicester vs Redcar is being run Sat 12th Oct
  14. The time change is 100% correct . Bad rain forecast from around 8:00pm & Leicester have a huge home fixture back up with the national league team also in cup semi & play offs . The promotion will only run Lions matches on Saturdays else they lose serious money as the crowds do not attend.
  15. I will admit that Stewart & the Leicester team were very brave in picking Redcar the in form team I just hope they don’t live to regret their choice but of the 2 other choices I think they believe their best away performance came at Redcar. Have to say a strange choice of guests for the away leg Broc Nicol who has his work permit sponsored by the Bates family who own Leicester . Josh Pickering who is very strongly rumoured to be riding for Leicester in 2020 so is his heart really going to be in it if the rumours are true ?
  16. Broc Nicol fits to replace Nathan Greaves but they have to seek permission off the riders club & you seem to forget the Bates family own Sheffield & Leicester so will not allow their riders guest against their own clubs
  17. I have been told today that Drew Kemp had been practising at Leicester today & looks set to sign for Leicester to replace Joe Lawlor in a double change that will see a lower average rider come into replace Richie Worrall
  18. I have been told today that Drew Kemp had been practising at Leicester today & looks set to sign for Leicester to replace Joe Lawlor in a double change that will see a lower average rider come into replace Richie Worrall. That’s 2 riders The Bates family have sent down the M1 to help bring Silverware into the Bates family which is ironic as at the start of the season they felt Sheffield had the stronger team.
  19. There is a-lot of complaints about the speed of the lions meetings when they “try” to run a double header & the gaps between the meetings. The speed of the meeting is down to the referee & IMO its no coincidence that for both double headers its been the same referee Barbara Horley who is known to run meetings at a slow pace & from what i was told insisted on the track being relaid & prepared as if it was a standalone meeting which is why it took so long.
  20. You don’t need 3 days to redeclare ??? It takes 3 days for the declaration to come into effect, so Somerset sack Kurtz on Tueday , Sheffield can offer a deal the same day if they like but he can’t ride for 3 days. There has been the odd occasion where a rider has been dropped but has to ride another match for the club because the redeclaration doesn’t come into effect for 3 days. In fact I think Bjerre may have had to do it at Sheffield last year. As long as the paperwork reaches BSPA headquarters but 11:59pm on 31/7/19 the changes are done on July averages which is why Leicester can announce Proctor on 1/8/19

  22. Made official now Ty Proctor has swapped Sheffield for Leicester just when he is coming into form.
  23. Leicester are not entitled to a guest for Bates because he is not in their top 3 averages . Nicholls, Worrall & Douglas are all above him.
  24. Leicester could not find a guest for Worrall , Palm Toft agreed to ride this evening but then snapped his frame so they declined the booking so R/R is being used. We struggled to get a guest for Worrall so now getting a guest for Bates is going to be almost impossible. Wallinger was booked to guest for Jack Thomas but i understand he crashed at Plymouth on friday & had now withdrawn from the guest booking at Eastbourne so its back to the drawing board there.
  25. a curfew is a curfew 10:30pm its been same since day 1. If you had been 8 behind before heat 12 you would have felt robbed for not having the chance to claw 2 points back & gain a point. If a meeting was declared before 10:30pm fans would complain they have been robbed of racing. Credit where its due . Redcar deserved a point tonight . But sadly the curfew kicking in just at the wrong time which is no fault of Leicester.
