  2. As at 30.04.17. my top 20 riders on current form are as follows:- 01-Freddie Lindgren-Wolverhampton-1080 02-Troy Batchelor-King's Lynn-1066 03-Jason Doyle-Swindon-1050 04-Nick Morris-Swindon-1045 05-Craig Cook-Belle Vue-1037 06-Kim Nilsson-Leicester-1000 07-Brady Kurtz-Poole-990 08-Kenneth Bjerre-Belle Vue-983 09-Patrick Hougaard-Somerset-950 10-David Bellago-Swindon-945 11-Hans Andersen-Poole-942 12-Chris Harris-Rye House-933 13-Kyle Howarth-Wolverhampton-920 14-Jacob Thorsell-Wolverhampton-880 15-Robert Lambert-King's Lynn-875 16-Steve Worrall-Belle Vue-871 17-Josh Grajczonek-Somerset-870 18-Scott Nicholls-Rye House-850 19-Krzysztof Kasprzak-Poole-820 20-Sam Masters-Wolverhampton-815
  3. I have checked both BPL & BCL team declarations on the BSPAs web site and cannot see where Steve Boxall is listed Also on the BNL page the explanation of NEG states such riders are not eligible as a BNL guest which is understandable but where does it say they cannot ride in either of the 2 higher leagues? Confused BB
  4. Presumably if there was one league of 18 teams, riders would only be allowed to ride for just the one team. At present 30 riders are doubling up and are all riding for 2 teams and would need to be replaced.
  5. But if his 4 points were scored by beating Somerset riders you would have won 47-43 but rider replacement would surely have done the job.
  6. With it looking like Leicester will need to rely on guests to replace missing D/U riders would it be possible to sign David Howe as a squad member? Last season didn't Lakeside get permission to do something similar? David has been practising after meetings and on Saturday I timed him over 4 racing speed laps and he did approx. 63 secs. His brought forward average of 6.72 is sufficient to come in for anyone in the team other than Josh Bates & Danny Ayres.
  7. Ipswich are riding next Saturday so King will be missing again as will Auty because Scunthorpe are also in action. Its getting silly now. There was and it got lots of people so wound up. It's not about the length of the meeting so much as the unprofessionalness of it all. Things need to be smartened up.
  8. Said I thought you were wrong to think Poole would go down. Didn't think it would be so one sided though. Never seen so much messing about at the starts. The starting marshalls are following the rules which call for the riders in grid 1 to be ready to race first but when such riders won't conform then it becomes farcical. All the marshalls need to do is to stand between grids 2 & 3 with arms raised indicating to the riders that he wants them to line up. If they still won't comply the referee should intervene. Must have wasted 15 minutes last night.
  9. I to bought a season ticket and now cannot attend on the rearranged Somerset date. Annoying really as I studied the fixture list before committing and decided that health permitting I would be able to attend 100%. Hope no more such changes are in the pipeline.
  10. In addition to Ipswich riding there are a further 5 other Championship teams in action including Scunthorpe. Does this mean we will also be without the services of Josh Auty as well as Danny King?
  11. First match at home to Swindon King will be missin gas he's riding for Ipswich at Berwick. Harris would have been the ideal replacement but he is in action for Rye House on the same date against Wolves. There is also the Peter Craven Memorial at Belle Vue which no doubt will also prevent Leicester from securing the services of a suitable guest. So all in all not a very good start is it.
  12. Press And practice day is on Wednesday March 29th.
  13. When are the rest of your team going to be announced? The new season is due to start within the next few days. And what about your BNL squad for which no riders have been announced.
  14. He said on FaceBook yesterday that he is made more welcome at IOW and he is happy there but no longer is so at Leicester. He said he is sad to have taken such a step after all the years that he had been involved with Leicester Speedway.
  15. Don't think we need anyone to replace him. Rob Sensical is quite capable to do the job on his own.
  16. Chris Popple resigns as presenter claiming that there is an undercurrent of bad feeling towards him making it untenable to continue.
  17. Just read on Lions Website that the club's new sponsorship has enabled track changes to bends 1 & 2commencing Monday next.
  18. Gomolski just been announced as Leicester's 3rd rider.
  19. You say FL has never finished on the SGP rostrum. Are you sure about this?
  20. According to the BSPA's current list of rider's end of season 2016 rolling averages KK=7.91, FL=7.21 & HA=7.15. The average previously achieved by KK was in 2013 when he ended up with 8.51 but the race format was easier then for heat leaders so a slight reduction to 7.91 is understandable. in 2015 FL achieved 6.11 therefore his current 7.21 is a good improvement which indicates that on current form he is better than KK. In 2016 HA upped his average from 6.45.
  21. Yes he was on but he did not reveal too much. He said that the new owners were a new limited company but did not say who the directors are. He was asked if work would now be done to improve the site but he said that David Hemsley still owned the site and that it was up to him to do any such work. No news on riders, management structure or the intended race night etc. He said it was important to have got to a position of guaranteeing the continuance of the sport and that all other matters could now be worked on.
