  1. 7.63 which equates to just under 10.00 in the BCL where he only averaged 8.44 for Peterborough last season. I agree that he hardly set the woods on fire but the point is if they used current BPL averages he would have to be given a 10.00 to ride in the BCL 2018.
  2. Deliberately riding to lower their average will cost them money will it not?
  3. If they allow SN & EK and anyone else in a similar position to ride in both leagues it is the right thing to do because other 9 riders have been allowed to do so. It is too late now to bar them all because it would cause too much disruption with the new season fast approaching. Next season however, current BPL averages should decide and not most recent BCL averages.
  4. So 2 BPL number 1s are allowed to ride in a lower easier league. Ridiculous.
  5. Just think that the best riders should stick to Div 1 and let the rest earn the money that is on offer in Div 2. Or perhaps all riders should be given a choice of which league want to ride in.
  6. It is wrong to allow any rider above a certain BPL average to also compete in the BCL. From next season it should be that no rider with a current BPL average of more than 6.49 should be prevented from riding in the BCL as well.
  7. Rye House now look strong along with Poole, Wolverhampton, Leicester & Belle Vue. Should be interesting.
  8. The Play Offs should not be over 2 legs. Semi Finals should be 1 v 4 & 2 v 3 with the final being staged at the venue of the team that finished higher in the league. This would reward the team that did best in the league which ought to be the case.
  9. There are 9 riders who rode in last season's BPL who averaged 6+ and have been allowed to continue riding in next season's BCL because they have done so in the past. Edward Kennett rode for Berwick once but presumably did not do enough meetings to be given an average but he must have been given an assessed average otherwise he would not have been able to ride. Presumably Scott Nicholls has never been a full time member of a BCL team but as he was allowed to be a guest last season he should allowed to ride.
  10. Who is Craig Cook riding for in the BCL. His name does not appear in any of the teams yet.
  11. Some riders are better when they return so perhaps they should have an increased average. Poole now have 3 such riders which augers well as they ought to increase their starting averages considerably.
  12. Good to see NKI back but I should like to say that if any of the so called super stars who have been persuaded to ride in this years First Division are at any time not available due to one of their other teams riding on the same night, they ought not to be replaced other than by RR.
  13. Poole do have Woryna in on 4.65 which is his 2016 average when riding for Coventry. 2 seasons later he is now a much better rider and will surely improve his average considerably. Likewise Szczepaniak is in on presumably an old out of date average and what I have seen of him lately he will also surely add a few points to his starting average of 4.54. Typical shrewd thinking by Mr Ford yet again. Poole will do alright methinks.
  14. He rides the track ok especially coming out of bend 2 which is often where lesser riders come unstuck.
  15. He was given 7.26 when he signed for Poole on or about 12/07/17. You are correct in that he rode in 7 matches for Poole before being replaced. In these 7 matches though he scored 47 points from 30 rides from 3 home and 4 away matches for an actual average of 6.27.
  16. I reckon it will be 8.40 if Bates rides but they can only use up to 7.99.
  17. Exactly and if his 2017 Div 2 scores had all been converted to equivalent Div 1 scores his previously attained 2016 average would have been reduced would it not?
