  1. He rides the track ok especially coming out of bend 2 which is often where lesser riders come unstuck.
  2. He was given 7.26 when he signed for Poole on or about 12/07/17. You are correct in that he rode in 7 matches for Poole before being replaced. In these 7 matches though he scored 47 points from 30 rides from 3 home and 4 away matches for an actual average of 6.27.
  3. I reckon it will be 8.40 if Bates rides but they can only use up to 7.99.
  4. Exactly and if his 2017 Div 2 scores had all been converted to equivalent Div 1 scores his previously attained 2016 average would have been reduced would it not?
  5. Yes I know and I also know that is the one that will most likely be used but I just think it would be fairer to use his most up to date average which is a truer reflection of his current form.
  6. If his 2017 Div 2 average is 3.33 then I think it would be fair to give him the converted Div 1 equivalent of 2.56.
  7. Another who is destined for big things IMO is Jordon Jenkins.
  8. I did not doubt the validity of it at all. I was hoping it wasn't true.
  9. Just read that Starman has been taken to hospital. Hope that things turn out ok for him if this is indeed true.
  10. It's ridiculous allowing the likes of Cook (GP rider-British Champion-World Cup rider et)c to ride in Division 2 but not allow Scott Nicholls to do so also even though his average in Division 1 is lower that Cook's. Nick Morris is also allowed to ride in Division 2 who also has an average higher that Scott's. Scott Nicholls would be within his rights to consider taking this matter to a higher authority than The BSPA. Incidentally both Chris Harris & Rory Schlein averaged more than him also and they are allowed to continue to ride in Division 2.
  11. On the Peterborough page they are saying that the drop down rules have been reconsidered now allowing the likes of Scott Nicholls to ride in the BCL. Common sense prevails. A victory at last.
  12. The rules are what need looking at. Morris, Cook, Masters & Schlein's BPL averages multiplied by 1.3 puts them all above 10 for BCL purposes which ought to prevent them from competing at an easier level but if they are allowed to do so then the likes of Nicholls should be allowed to do so as well who has no real BPL average but whose BPL average multiplied by 3 is lower than any of the afore mentioned.
  13. Nick Morris was presumably allowed to ride in the 2nd Division last season because his lowish 2016 average for Swindon when multiplied by 1.2 put him lower than the other top riders in Division 2. Now having achieved a proper Div 2 average with Berwick and still being below the likes of Cook he is still allowed to ride. In 2017 his Swindon average when multiplied by 1.3 is now 11.33 which presumably would prevent him dropping down this season but because he did it last season the rules allow it. Very shrewd business by Lakeside but I would think the powers that be might be looking to prevent this happening in the future. Would say Scott Nicholls be allowed to drop down also on a converted average of 9.72.
  14. Scott's 2017 average was 7.48 therefore by multiplying this by 1.2 he would presumably have a BCL starting average of 8.98
  15. Chris Holder is still a GP rider who averaged less than 8 in 2017. Will his average be increased if he rides in 2018?
  16. If Chris Holder lines up for someone he will do so on an average of less than 8. I do not think there is much between him and MV.
  17. I've suggested something like this in the past and still think it is worth considering.
