  1. The rules are what need looking at. Morris, Cook, Masters & Schlein's BPL averages multiplied by 1.3 puts them all above 10 for BCL purposes which ought to prevent them from competing at an easier level but if they are allowed to do so then the likes of Nicholls should be allowed to do so as well who has no real BPL average but whose BPL average multiplied by 3 is lower than any of the afore mentioned.
  2. Nick Morris was presumably allowed to ride in the 2nd Division last season because his lowish 2016 average for Swindon when multiplied by 1.2 put him lower than the other top riders in Division 2. Now having achieved a proper Div 2 average with Berwick and still being below the likes of Cook he is still allowed to ride. In 2017 his Swindon average when multiplied by 1.3 is now 11.33 which presumably would prevent him dropping down this season but because he did it last season the rules allow it. Very shrewd business by Lakeside but I would think the powers that be might be looking to prevent this happening in the future. Would say Scott Nicholls be allowed to drop down also on a converted average of 9.72.
  3. Scott's 2017 average was 7.48 therefore by multiplying this by 1.2 he would presumably have a BCL starting average of 8.98
  4. Chris Holder is still a GP rider who averaged less than 8 in 2017. Will his average be increased if he rides in 2018?
  5. If Chris Holder lines up for someone he will do so on an average of less than 8. I do not think there is much between him and MV.
  6. I've suggested something like this in the past and still think it is worth considering.
  7. Danny King's best average was in 2012 when he averaged 7.47 to be ranked 20 in the league. In 2016 he finished up with an average of 7.22 a ranking of 9. Last season he had a difficult start to the season on a home track which he has never been completely happy on but he improved to average 6.66 and be ranked 25. He was incidentally Leicester's highest averaging rider on away tracks.
  8. I am not missing the point. I fully understand what is being considered. I was just trying to explain to a previous poster that there should be no fixture clashes even if a current BCL Thursday night team still wanted to keep their race night. As you have pointed out though this may not be allowed anyway.
  9. But If the chosen nights for BPL teams are Monday & Thursday then such as Leicester will presumably ride on Mondays so as to avoid Sheffield riding on Thursdays.
  10. I thought that the BCL teams were going to race on separate nights to those chosen by the BPL teams therefore avoiding the BPL teams having to use guests for their missing BCL loanees. If this proves to be so then such as Leicester can still use the likes of KIng, Bjerre & Bates can they not?

  13. This is my final list of my top 20 riders on current form at the end of the season. 14. They usually pick the 9th & 10th riders so that brings in Vaculik & Holder. I would also invite Hancock to return if he is able and willing to continue because he scored 45 points from 6 GPs which equates to 90 if he had ridden in all 12 which is more than Holder. My 4th wild card would then be Lebedevs.
  15. I should just like to congratulate Jason Doyle on not only becoming World Champion but also in the manner of his attitude after doing so. Usually after achieving the ultimate accolade riders don't have the desire to continue and just trail around like novices to fulfill their rides. Even the mighty Jason Crump and Greg Hancock eased back after winning their crowns. I was very impressed this time however and again many congratulations to a former Leicester Lion.
  16. Please could you explain to me how Scott Nicholls was allowed to guest at Ipswich when Josh's CL average is 9.54 and Scott's PL average is 7.58. What conversion was used? Is it no longer the +60% which would have made Scott's converted average 11.88.

  20. I think Greg Hancock was well behind at the time of his injury.
