I'll be surprised if he is (and disappointed). his British official fixtures take precedence over his polish commitments. Despite this being "only" a challenge match, the polish fixtures are only challenge matches as well so they don't have official precedence either. If it were a polish league fixture then that would have been different.

Never subscribed to BT and never will. had enough problems with there phone service. An overpriced minority sports channel in my opinion. Bad move by BSPA if they had a choice. so much for trying to attract new people to the sport. I can't see BT's viewing figures matching those for sky.

the problem was, as far as I understand, that clubs wanting to sell tickets had to pay up front for them and they were non returnable (refundable). If they didn't sell the club lost out. I know a few years ago of at least one club selling them at a reduced price a week before Cardiff just to try to get rid of them and recoup some of the money.

I seem to remember Chris Louis saying in Speedway star a few weeks ago he couldn't finalise fixtures until Leicester and Belle Vue situation was sorted.

Sorry, but I can't see your logic in this. You've got to compare Lewis and Ashley with Lunna and Bewley. If Richie gets injured (2nd Heat leader by average) then Lawson and Summers will get two of his rides plus Lunna (4.9) and Bewley (3.9) getting the other two. If Steve is injured then Robert and Ludvig get two of the rides plus Lewis (6.1) and Ashley (4.98). I'd favour ours by miles. Personally I'd expect Connor to match Jack Smith any day of the week. Both will struggle a bit if we were to lose Lewis or Ash and they were to lose Lunna or Bewley especially away. They will struggle more if they lost Perry than we would losing Connor or Danny. It's all ifs and buts tho. Hopefully everyone will get through relatively unscathed.

Aye but last season if , for example, your reserve was averaging 2.2 you could get anyone who was averaging up to 3.00 to guest, so in fact you get a stronger reserve. This year it will have to be under 2.2. And as Steve says a lot of them will be riding on Sundays. I very much doubt that there are as many as 30 who would qualify.

Glad to see you are comparing Richie with Lewis and Ashley. Glasgow losing Richie is the same as Newcastle losing Steve. If Glasgow lose Bewley or Lunna then they will be in the same boat as us losing Rose or Morris. (i.e. in trouble) You have to compare like for like. Bewley will find it a lot harder in the main body of the team. Yes he has beaten heat leaders around Glasgow, but so has Lewis around Newcastle. As I've said before the hardest bit will be trying to find 2 point guests if we need to cover injury to the reserves.

True. But he has got a polish ride this next year.

You forgot to add VAT!!!

Q. When is a 2017 team building average not a 2017 team building average? A. When its shown on the British Speedway Official website. You would expect the 2017 team building list to show the correct average (inc. 2.5% reductions where applicable) wouldn't you? Errrrr............ No. Otherwise some fans might actually get their team predictions right!!!!

Quite happy with the team. Didn't expect Robert back, so thats a big plus. Our reserves should be okay as there aren't many good reserves named by anyone so far apart from, possibly, Workington with Matt Williamson. Glasow reckon to have Tom Perry at reserve but for that to happen they will need a very weak 4 and 5. (above 3.76 and less than 5) to fit. As long as we avoid injuries to Ash or Lewis as R/R could come back to bite us with having to use the reserves to cover. (Unless the rules have changed). Kings Lynn switching back to wednesdays means no Home clashes for Robert. I understand Ludvig is only riding in Sweden's top division now (Tuesdays) so is available for Thursday matches. That just leaves Steve (IF he goes back to Belle Vue and IF they still stick to Fridays). Just need better fixture planning. For example visit Edinburgh on a friday when Belle Vue aren't riding. ( I doubt they'll be racing every Friday on a GP weekend). Also we've lost two Friday tracks anyway (Somerset and Plymouth). Plus we are now the senior Sunday track. Is Coles an asset of anybody, or does he become one of ours after 4 home and 4 away, or whatever it is now?

There is your answer! Carr didn't ride enough in 2012 to get a PL average and missed at least one full year in the PL due to injury. Rose has done his three seasons as an established PL rider, Carr hasn't and is therefore entitled to a reduction through his NL connection. Nothing to do with injury in 2016.
-
And me too. The guy put a point on his overall average last season. ( I don't take much notice of greensheet averages except for team building,. They never tell the full story. Don't include bonus points, or even all official matches. Your best team rider always has an artificially low average) Who scored the most bonus points in 2016. Ludvig. It's not always about what a captain does on the track or the toss, it's about what he does in the pits as well especially when he's having a bad day. 3rd or 4th name on the teamsheet for me.
-
In the NL yes. Mildenhall were fined for cancelling a meeting against Cradley when they discovered that Cradley were using a guest (who had scored 13points ish two weeks previous) for a rider who said he didn't have a Bike!!! Anything goes in the NL apparently!!
-
According, I think, to Kevin Jolly of Mildenhall in last weeks Star NL clubs aren't allowed to have assets. That's why he was so peeved when Bewley rode against Mildenhall for Belle Vue when Edinburgh had a home match especially since he did them a favour by going there on that particular day and had to use a guest as his No.1was on holiday.

Just to clarify this point. If you win the CHAMPIONSHIP playoff you win the league. There is then a PROMOTION/RELEGATION playoff against the bottom PREMIERSHIP team. The winner is in the Premiership. The loser in the championship. That's my understanding anyway.

Yes. Opposing teams won't want to come on a sunday if they are missing riders who are in Poland, or the night after a GP for those with riders in that. It's far more difficult getting to Newcastle from a GP (except Cardiff) than it is to Poland. If teams do come be prepared for lots of visiting guests!! Promotion and relegation. Dumb idea! Been tried twice and failed. It isn't even compulsory in Poland or Sweden so why here? At one time your stadium/facilities had to be of a certain standard for the top league.
-
That won't happen they'll be miles over the top. They couldn't even realistically fit them in to their top 5. They would take up 7 points out of 40 leaving 33 ish for the top 5 so you are not going to get a powerhouse at the top end with that. Another point is finding guests if your 2 point reserve is injured. That is going to be harder. for example if your no. 7 is averaging 2.4. Last year you could get anyone on a 3.00 to guest, this year it'll have to be someone below 2.4. Narrows the options considerably.
-
Yes but you don't own the track so that's not a factor. It's the fixtures and fittings. i.e. Fence, Air bags, water tender?, and riders (if any). The fact that it's a designated sport facility and you own planning rights to run speedway is probably in your favour. The fact that you don't own the land is certainly in your favour as it'll keep any potential developers away.

Make no mistake the Administrators are acting on behalf of the creditors. They get the best deal for whatever assets are left and divvy it up between the creditors. If the best bid is from a scrap merchant (for example) they WILL SELL to that scrap merchant. So hope the best deal is from someone who wants to run speedway.

Yet in the fours he beat Dimitri Berge and Jonas b Andersen and outscored Garcia, Wilkinson, and Jake Allen in the individual on the sunday.

Apart from Kenny Larsson and Anton Rosen, yes I believe so.
