A comment on the Swindon thread says Musielak has been resigned on his old average. If that is the case maybe we could make a case to resign Gino on his old PL average which would convert nicely
-
Would be a great signing but all depends what average he would be saddled with and whether he could get a work permit. Perks showed on Monday night that he is no better than a number 7 and to sign him to ride at number 6 with Greaves would be a major mistake.
-
Good signing by the Robins. Will give Gappmaier a chance to rest and get over his nasty virus
-
I like Perks and he has done well at Rye House but he is a number 7 rather than a number 6 and to have both Perks and Greaves in the team would leave us very weak. I know its a bit of a long shot but wonder what Gino Manzares would come in on if he could get a work permit. I understand he wants to return to the UK and it might take some arguing his average but he would be an ideal signing.

Swindon Robins Vs Wolves (29-6-17)
SteveZodiac replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good performance by Wolves to rescue a point after being 10 points down, but could and should have been better. Our Ex British Champ Guest was very disappointing, especially conceding a 5 - 1 in heat 8. Masters just wasn't competitive and also struggled. The heat 14 decision in excluding Wilson - Dean was appalling - I can only assume that Ms Turnbull didn't have a great view from the Refs Box. -
Excellent - another visit to Oak Tree Arena to look forward to

While Poland are taking such a strong stance with Britain we should be giving Polish riders a very wide berth. Polish riders seem to be more trouble than they are worth - lets try and build a stock of riders in Britain that will be readily available and not subject to such strict restrictions.

Kings Lynn V Wolves Koc 14th June
SteveZodiac replied to Beowulf's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Great Performance by Wolves whilst acknowledging that King's Lynn were severely depleted by injuries. All of the Wolves contributed. I thought Robert Lambert was very disappointing. Strangely for King's Lynn there was very little passing and with the Wolves riders having their gating boots on it was a field day for them. It was very interesting to see Chris Louis in the pits helping out Nathan Greaves with set ups and advice on the track - he spent most of the meeting with him. -
Poole Pirates Vs Wolverhampton Wolves 7/6/17

Not got an gripe with being scanned but it could have been better organised. If it is to be a regular occurrence they need more staff, more tables and more plastic tubs for metal objects to be put into. -
Poole Pirates Vs Wolverhampton Wolves 7/6/17

Overall a good performance by Wolves but a bit disappointing to lose in the end. Our Heat leaders didn't really perform which was a shame as the second strings really stepped up to the mark After saying on the club website that he really wanted to win at Poole it was disappointing to see Masters under deliver. Jacob was also a bit disappointing. The poor performances by the two Josh's cancelled out the missing Klindt and Freddie. Great effort to get the meeting over by just after 9 which not only helped avoid the rain but also helped avoid the 10 pm road closures on the way home. Andersen seemed very wound up by the Wolves heat 15 pair as he showed after the end of the race but it was hard to figure out why as they didn't seem to have done anything against him other than beat him fair and square in their previous races. -
Quite correct - but he would do better than the rider we aren't supposed to mention at the moment
-
Dream on
-
Did you catch Peter Adams' interview on Radio WM? He said Freddie would have been in heat 15 if he hadn't got injured in Heat 13 when he locked up.
-
The reason he got out of shape was because he got a shove which forced him wide - happened right in front of where I was standing - if he had dropped it there is every chance the race would have been called back for all 4.

Can't really see the point of these changes unless there is more to replacing Tungate than meets the eye, as they don't strengthen the team.

Leicester V Wolves 15th May

Great Performance by Wolves. Amazing to have 3 riders unbeaten by the opposition away from home. Schlein deserves special mention as he earned most of his points the hard way - Heat 10 involving Schlein and Nilsson was excellent. At the moment we are definitely the best balanced team in the league. -
The rule says that TR has to be for a programmed rider - hence wasn't allowed as he was a reserve replacement. The TR ride is allowed for R/R as the R/R is a programmed ride in the meeting. Maybe they are increasing the averages to ensure they can fit Woffinden in for the play offs

Somerset V Wolves Friday 5th May 19;30
SteveZodiac replied to Wolfsbane's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As a travelling Wolves fan it was nice to see us win. However the most important thing was watching some great entertaining racing - definitely the best I've seen this year. I hope that Somerset are able to find some decent replacements for their underperforming riders as they deserve success equally for their ambition in moving up and for providing excellent racing on a great track. -

KK has never ridden well when he has been a team's number one. His best performances have been when he has been a team's second or third heat leader. -

It's a bit rich a Belle Vue fan preaching to Wolves fans about the state of the track after the garbage we had to watch at the Greyhound Stadium year after year. It's amazing what a year on a new track does to the memory it seems. Anyone have any idea who it was practicing after the meeting? -
Perry at number 6 wouldn't be any better than Clegg is - somehow the team needs to be juggled around to include a rider of the ability of Clegg or Perry as our number 7. If that means replacing one of the top 5 in a restructuring so be it - we won't win anything by keeping the reserves as they are so needs must.
