  1. And to think we could of kept craig cook who lives 10 minutes up the road..... Said it at the time an ill say it again, a massive mistake keeping batchelor
  2. On ability not much between them?? There's no contest. Going into this season with troy batchelor as number 1 had disaster written all over it. Not one of the paying workington fans should have to contribute to paying his wages tomorrow. He should be sacked tonight, blatantly shutting off an uninterested, must be the worste showing from a supposed number one and captain iv ever seen.
  3. Yeh suppose so..... Don't think either are premiership standard though
  4. Surley craig cook would of been a far better option than kerr or sedgmen
  5. This meeting shouldnof been on. Its not rained all morning and theres a warm wind
  6. Pretty much common knowledge that workington owe cookie a large amount of money for a prolonged period last season. This is a forum, where people discuss topics about speedway in general and workinfton comets. Maybe you should leave it @Neila if it offends you
  7. There is no doubt that cook would of been the better number 1, anyone who has any knowledge of speedway will tell you that. I think we could struggle in in heats 13 and 15 next year, especially away from home. Workington's loss is certainly berwicks gain.
  8. Still would of been a lot stronger if we'd kept cookie instead of batchelor. But Not a bad start to team building, although will be some disappointed when Jye Etheridge is announced 😕
  9. Let's hope not, we've been down the thomas jorgensen route before
  10. Cook confirmed at berwick. still can't get my head around why we would release him an keep batchelor. Absolute ludicrous decision. If the team im hearing is correct it's got disaster written all over it for the future of workington speedway
  11. You'd rather have thomas jorgensen than a rider who's average around berwick is 12.75? Strange one that! Workingtons loss is berwicks gain
  12. I still can't believe how rediculas this actually is. Letting one of the best riders in the league leave whos lives on the doorstep. The fact that a deal had been agreed verbally makes it even worse. What are the promotion thinking? Watch for crowds dropping even further next season. Got disaster written all over it.
  13. Still a class act at this level. We will happily swap, we will keep cookie an you can go into the season with batchelor as your number 1? Thought not
  14. No, I don't know which heat 13s and 15s you've been watching, maybe you should check back on them? Batch definitely went missing against the big boys. I'm not saying he had a bad season, but he wasn't as good as cook. We have let one of the best riders in the league leave. Big mistake
  15. Think we have made a big mistake not keeping Craig Cook. Troy starting at number 1 makes us a bit vulnerable, he didn't score well in most heat 13s and 15s last season
  16. I actually like the look of that team, but would want a stronger reserve than bailey Also everyone wanting batch back, yes he did have a decent season but he also went missing in most heat 13 & 15s when be was up against the big boys
  17. 100% someone will take him out, he will be riding with a marked card on his back if he carrys on like he did last night.
  18. Could Craig Cook be back? If some of the rumours about workington are true
  19. Lashing down at workington at the moment. It is forecast to stop around 11 o clock, let's just hope the damage hasn't already been done to the track
  20. Let's hope not, let's be honest his scores at Northside have been disappointing of late.
  21. So basically the comets havnt learned from last time at Poole an are taking sh!t guests. Look out for another low crowd on Saturday if a big score against happens as expected tomorrow
  22. I was 50/50 on attending this meeting. These guests have just made my mind up for me, especially Etheridge. Shocking choice of guest
  23. If cook an vissing had been riding in both meetings workington would of won both meetings its as simple as that. Redcar got away with a win an a bonus, but I suppose sometimes you need a bit of luck. On another note imagine where workington would of been if they had made a change at reserve earlier, I think we will miss out on the playoffs an I hope lessons are learnt by the promotion
