I would rather klindt get away with withholding his services that have to pay an watch him last night. He should be fined imo. Yes he's not getting paid but why should fans pay to watch that, even more so the fans at Sheffield an lakeside paid there good money to watch a rider go through the motions, unacceptable
-
Exactly. Total lack of ambition by workington. With bwd in the team we had a real chance of winning something this year. Now it's back to same old same old.
-
Mason might be a nice lad but bringing him back into the team in place of Wilson dean is like swapping a bmw for a Vauxhall. Don't think many other teams would of made this move?
-
If they have any ambition to win anything this season they simply have to drop mason an stick with bwd, all the comets fans I was talking to today were all saying the same, we have to release mason an stick with Wilson dean
-
Just on my way home now from another excellent performance, this time at Glasgow. The workington promotion have to sign Bradley Wilson dean permantley in place of mason campton. Wilson dean turns this team into contenders, but not only that he's also box office an will come from the back. It's a harsh move on campton, but it's a results an entertainment business an this move will help crowd levels. Workington promotion it's over to you

WORKINGTON V GLASGOW. league cup. SATURDAY 7th . 7.00pm
Midget replied to jenga's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There is only light rain forecast and like mentioned above it hasn't rained in workington for the past couple of days. Hasty decision imo, an they wonder why crowds are down. Ian Thomas would never of called a meeting this early with only light showers forecast. -

Meetings are called off way to early these days. It seems minimum effort is put in to stage a meeting of there is any threat of rain. -
Riders demands over the years
Midget replied to Robinh88's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I have to disagree unfortunately, if been going to workington speedway since the re launch, Craig Cook is good rider but he's not in the class of stonehewer that is for sure. Also the above mentioned, Harris an Nichols are on the spiral, they are not at the level of Wilson, Zorro, frank smart, Danny bird an various others during the past PL area. The fact is the elite league is probably more nearer that standard of the old PL these days. -
I am hearing that the Roynon signing is a short term contract? Maybe to buy some Time, but it could well be weathers that makes way if Roynon rides to past ability
-
And Adam Roynon to be announced in the next few days.
-
Thank you must of missed that being announced

Anyone know when press an practice day is this year?

Not a bad team, but for me Claus vissing is the reason this team will fall short .

Championship Predictions 2018
Midget replied to RedcarRacer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If workington can get Rene bach going like he was at Glasgow then I think they could be dark horses for a play off place. Bewley will add points to his average, Bickley will do well an with campton startng at reserve we should have a strong senior reserve all season. I think klint will be the difference to this being a decent team instead of a good one, really don't see what he will bring to the party on that average. For top spot I fancy a fight between Ipswich and scunny, Claus vissing being the reason Glasgow will fall short. -
Rene bach an rasmus Jensen to workington
-
If Rene starts how he left of for Glasgow then great, I remember seeing him when he 1st come over with Newcastle an thought wow this kid is going to the top. A bad injury seemed to halt his career. But like iv said he was class at Glasgow so let's hope we see the same Rene Bach at workington. Rasmus Jensen is a bit of an enigma, you see his scores from Europe an he looks to be a very good speedway rider, over here last time he only seemed half interested, although there was glimpses of what he could do. Let's hope we get the best out of him this time round. All ifs an buts but isn't that the same with any team, we do look strong right through which could work, I remember hull when they cleaned up that year has no out an out number 1 but had garry stead at reserve at one point. My main concern is klindt, I hope I'm proved wrong but I don't think he merits that average.
-
Rene an rasmus are the final 2. To be fair to the promotion I don't think it's a bad team under the circumstances
-
Our number 1 will be a former rider coming BACH
-
I'd have lykkeover Williamson any day of the week. Matt peaked last year an has reached his level, far to inconsistent a. Worryingly when he didn't gate was half a lap behind.
-
What makes you think it's a rider from last year that has work commitments?? Also what makes you thing the former rider we are trying to get BACH with work commitments is English?
-
Very poor signing, who puts these teams together at workington? An they wonder why they can't attract a crowd. Also the promotion state klint is a racer? That certainly isn't the klint iv seen, 7.51 wasted. An to think I was worried we might get Aaron summer's, who looks attractive on 8 after seeing what we have just signed on 7.51
-
Poor signing, specially with the points he's taking up. But Glasgow look strong enough for the rest of the team to carry him
