Easy....we don't need sour grapes just because Britain's two best prospects might dare not ride for the money bags of British speedway an instead fancy representing there local club -

Dan Bewley and Kyle Bickley will both be workington comets riders in 2018 so I am led to believe -

Wow what a carry on at the end of a brilliant meeting. Worralls dummy was well an truley out. Hope reports that he broke a stewards nose are incorrect. Never seen so much carry on on the pits, everyone was involved. Who needs coronation street haha -

I think the problems this year have been a mixture if I'm honest. First of all the 1st bit mistake was signing Roynon in the 1st place, he never got out the reserve berth for a full season prior to this, his equipment and attitude looked questionable an to be honest he was never going to improve. Worth a risk by the promotion? I'm 50/50 on It, as we've seen the rider he could be/once was. I think it's time now that folk accept Adam Roynon is where he is going to be now. Such a shame injury ruined a potentially great rider as imo baring injury he would be a even better rider that Craig cook is right now. The replacement which ever way you look at it has been a complete disaster. That's why imo if an it's a massive if, we do run next year then we need someone who has a knowledge of riding a speedway bike, can spot a rider, would help bring a team spirit an would interact with the crowd. I know just the man for the job, a man who has been seen a lot more at Derwent park this season, an the biggest part of it is that it's a man who the riders and fans would up most respect. I don't think I need to spell it out who the person in question is. The bspa hav done the sport (not just workington) no favours this season. In face it's all a bit of a shambles. The promotion should imo listen to the crowd a little more, how about a suggestion boxed where u could put forward things that would improve speedway on a saturday night? Granted I know some would be acceptable an some not, but hence it would be a suggestion box an not a criticism box. Finally us the fans, I hav had my moans this season I can't deny that, an I do in a way feel for the promotion giving some quite frankly stupid rules brought In this season, but maybe we should get down to Derwent park for the last few meetings, adept that mistakes have been made an hopefully have our great club to suport next season. Can I finally just add that despite some of the problems this year the racing has been excellent so hat's of to all involved with that one. If only we could get rid if the deadly silence an have some upbeat music playing to help the atmosphere. Here hoping for next year, I would be geninually gutted if we loose it. -

Yes indeed. Well done to the monarchs. Rick wells was Ricky wells round workington. Always likes both the riss brothers, both have the potential to be very good riders indeed. -

The solution is the bspa need to take a long hard look at what they are doing to British speedway. A stupid rule enforced is letting people like that Pratt last night hold clubs to ransom. I wish you could of witnessed it to know I am by no means overreacting. This rule is making a face of the sport an it's yet again the paying public that's suffering. The sad thing is I think the only reason the rule was introduced was to stop poole throwing money right left an centre and strengthening there team for play offs. -
I really don't know where to start with this. Having been a speedway supporter for over 30 years and attending tracks all over the country, I have never been anywhere near as disappointed in a rider as I was with James sarjent last night. The rider that had scored 12 points the previous evening for Glasgow tigers. Three times he went through the tapes and in my opinion he went through the tapes on purpose. Each time he went off 15 meters did not try at all then decided he would remove his helmet and stick his fingers up shouting and gesturing to the crowd, the crowd which had young children and family's in attendance. If that wasn't enough he then decided to rip his comets bib off an throw it on the direction of the owner of the club. What a pathetic excuse of a man. It is blatenly obvious what he is doing, he is using workington comets to lower his average and imo iv a feeling he will end up at Glasgow next season, although after what I witnessed last night why any club would want to employ this sad excuse of a man baffles me. After all don't we try an promote speedway as a family sport? The referee from last night should send a report to the bspa and action should be taken. I feel so sorry for the owner (Laura morgan) of workington speedway. We should not have to stick with a man, in fact he is no man as no man would act like him (sarjent) did lastnight, anyway we should not have to put up with him without signing anyone else. He should be banned not just from workington but from British speedway. No one likes a cheat, an he is cheating the club an the paying public, cheating with his average with next season in mind. But what is worse than a cheat? An immature cheat with a serious attitude problem with a lack of respect.

Your promotion must be on drugs if they are using James sarjent. He is the worst rider I hav ever seen in a comets race bib.

Got thumped quite a few times with that rider in your profile pic 2, who was basically rubbish there concidering it was a former track. -

Normally make the trip over to Newcastle but after the other week I won't be going. The track was disgusting an quite frankly dangerous. Also it was after 1am when I got home due to the fact it took 3 hours to run the meeting. -

Sounds to me that British speedway is on its a@@se -
You can go off ya stats all you want, but if you had seen all the Workington meeting this season (like I have myself) then I feel you would be far from impressed with proctor yourself. Look at the difference between let's say Charles Wright your number 3 and ty proctor Workingtons number 3, who would you prefer? Wright has protected your middle order, an protected it well, both started on similar averages. Also Wright doesn't stay in the position he gates from, so doesn't get beat by reserves if they outgate him.
-
Have you been watching the same ty proctor as me this year???
-
Kennet for proctor would strengthen us up no end
-
At least berwick are prepared to make changes, unlike Workington. We stuck with an underperforming proctor when we has two and a half points to play with, then to top it off signed Sargent when the likes of Jacobs were available. Can't work it out myself
-
Are we going to get any? Sargent is going to have his wrist in a cast for ar least four week, will be really difficult running with guests concidering his low average. Proctor has been massively disappointing, especially away from home, but even at home if he doesn't do anything from the gate it's game over, this makes our middle order extremely week. On a lesser note Jorgenson has been very hit an miss, this meaning we have little back up for cook in heats 13 and 15. So who is out there that could improve the team, maybe one or even two changes? and the big question is are we even looking to make changes or content to stay put?

Very disappointed yet again with ty proctor last night and to a slightly lesser extent Thomas j. Proctor doesn't look interested if he doesn't gate. Problem is best we can hope for in heats 13 & 15 is 3-3's. 2.11 points to play with an could do with back up for cookie.
