  1. 20 years ago they were only building the Redcar track, it opened in 2006. It was very good until about 3 years ago when there was a following out with the track curator. A rider at the time described the replacement as a farmer with a tractor who didn't know what he was doing. Not saying it's the same guy now but you would think that someone would know given the amount of recent rain the moisture would come out of the base. Maybe they took advise from Phil Morris.
  2. Well the BSN series and playoffs will be on BSN. I assume the KO cup final will also be on BSN because Poole tv said during the Glasgow KO cup meeting it would be their final stream of the season.
  3. So do Poole put their prices up for Glasgow meetings? It was £13.99 on Wednesday. Pity Poole didn't have a camera to show what actually happened in heat 14. It showed what happened in heat 10 but the ref took the easy option. Glasgow did stream during Covid but the used an outside production company that were doing a lot of the Scottish football clubs streaming services. That was very expensive for them so they haven't done it since. It would be great if Glasgow did stream, then a lot more people would see the fantastic racing there, rather than the hundreds that attend meetings. No contest, best track in the UK. And I could see the meetings when I'm unable to attend Tapes Up have covered a few meetings over recent years maybe if enough Poole fans contact Glasgow about streaming KO Cup meeting then it will be.
  4. Well it was on Saturday. All the shale must have blown off the track
  5. Is there a new rule that if you are 6 down and used your tactical sub you can pick your own gates? Because the Redcar pair went of the wrong gates in heat 10. What was the ref thinking? Why did Glasgow not object?
  6. Jeppesen rides for Esbjerg in Denmark but that won't effect Berwick as they've already raced at Oxford & Poole. He doesn't have a team place in Poland and he's too old to get called up by Denmark for any of these under age meetings
  7. You suggest the Cook signing has been a disaster but when he's actually ridden he's done a good job. It seems like he's been ill a lot but per BSPL stats he's only missed 2 meetings. When he's missing you should have a good choice of guests, given his average and there's only ever one other meeting. Basically any rider except the majority of other clubs number ones. Glasgow or Edinburgh riders the obvious choice if at home on a Friday night.
  8. But apparently 11 make a Championship season - 2 BSN, 1 cup & 8 league matches. That will be why riders have to double up and fans don't know when the next meeting is as there's large gaps in the racing calendar.
  9. Why wasn't he riding? Hasn't he just signed for his Polish team? The Glasgow fixtures was in his schedule since the fixtures came out. UK used to get priority unless it was a rearranged fixture, if rider wasn't contracted at the start of the season. Does Poland always get priority now?
  10. Don't understand why Oxford didn't just operate R/R at 2 when they had 2 in form reserves. Cost Oxford the metting. Zach Cook was very poor, don't know what's happened to him this year, hopefully he shows the same form on Friday night.
  11. Bewley £100 more Lambert £100 more Holder £100 more Kvech £100 more
  12. Yes, Drew Kemp certainly helped last time and there's no chance of the other six all clicking as Matt Marson is riding.
  13. Marson has ridden against a 2 point rider, guesting for Edinburgh against Berwick - Dayle Wood. Marson was way off the pace in this meeting and only scored in a race with 2 finishers. Interestingly he was interviewed by BSN and he said he was riding with a knee injury which he picked up last year.
  14. Kurtz £50 less Lambert £50 more Bewley £50 more Kvech £50 more
  15. You'd think they could schedule it so that it's home one week and away next week but no Glasgow v Berwick v Glasgow are on same weekend twice. Even more unbelievable Glasgow go to Plymouth the day after a home meeting.
  16. Great fixture planning home opener 18th April (Good Friday), then no home fixtures until 9th May 🤬
  17. Think it's a lot easier to travel from London to Edinburgh than Plymouth. He could easily fly up. It's a long drive to Plymouth
  18. So did the Glasgow management last season and that went well. Starkie talked the talk preseason but once the season started a total disappointment
