All you guys tipping Wolves to finish as low as 7th, I'm intrigued to know who you think will trouble us on home shale because for us to finish that low a fair few will have to. Belle Vue seem the most likely to beat us at home I think but don't see too much problem from the others

Just out of interest why didn't they ride in the championship last year. Was it they decided not to or they just couldn't get a ride. If it was the latter then they are being punished for not being able to find a club last year, but if it was the former you could say it's their own fault for not wanting to last year

It was after all only last year they wanted to make the 2 leagues closer, there seems to be no long term plan

No that wasn't the point I was making, on paper all teams are of the same strength according to averages at the start of the season, but the reality is quite different so you can't go on averages alone. I havent actually said whether i think the league is stronger or weaker either. However Wolves are definately weaker than last year as we have lost Freddie and Mark Riss and gained Cameron Heeps and Ash Morris

Averages mean nothing, all teams are built to the same points limit but some turn out to be much stronger than others

That being the case, and i have neither the time or the inclination to check, that would suggest that an awful lot of rifers would have been dropped, and why? The top level of speedway in this country has been watered down enough already. I don't even see how you would fill enough number 1 spaces with a decent level of rider. Just because there are enough riders doesn't make them good enough to grace the same track as the likes of Doyle etc

You're completely missing the point Brum has made, there may have been 126 rider positions in the 2 leagues last year but how many of those were filled by double uppers? 5 in the Wolves team alone, subtract all those from the total and you are way short

There's no comparison to be made between Heaps and Jacobs, Heeps is a far superior rider. The last time Jacobs rode at Wolves for Belle Vue in 2016 he looked like a mdl rider, he was dreadful, scoring just 4 points from 3 meetings, one of those gifted after Howarth fell. The last time Heeps rode at Wolves for Somerset he scored 7 points in 1 meeting Which one would you choose?
