  1. can't believe that season ticket holders are being charged for this meeting.at sheffield, season tickets are valid.it,s just the final, if we make it ,that is chargeable
  2. think that the only thing richard lawson needs to overtake are a few cars on the m1 on his way down to sign for us southern tigers for next season!
  3. atrocious forecast for thursday, even worse than yesterdays
  4. not a chance getting kyle.is our captain fantastic
  5. good luck to both ipswich and edinbro in your play off.may the best team win
  6. forecast for heavy rain 6,7,8 o'clock so outlook wouldn't,have been very good
  7. I'm sort of thinking that josh bates ends up n your side somewhere with lewis kerr coming the other way. also think that maybe richard lawson ends up at owlerton with j.g going the other way
  8. well done to all concerned at berwick on a goo win last night.well done also to kyle and lass on another fine performance.bit surprised at jan after thursdays heroics but onwards and upwards now and can see the silverware just appearing over the horizon and victory(hopefully) over leicester in the rule/prom chase.
  9. as a neutral and after reading a lot or your posts i have to say that my heart goes out to the promotion, supporters and to some extent, most riders in your team with obviously one exception.i remember saying to the wife several years ago at scunthorpe where we first saw serjeant ride about how fast and smooth he looked on a bike and earmarked him as one for the future but warning signs were there with his petulance in a national league encounter between himself and nathan grieves and things seem to have gone downhill from there culminating in the disgraceful attitude to the sport last night.yes,he should now not ever ride again for the club and i certainly know who i would rather have between him and adam roynon, who ,i believe, had a bit of a raw deal when he was moved on at owlerton to accommodate ty proctor.adam would have been a very very good rider if it hadn't have been for his injuries and to this day i still enjoy watching him ride.it has also been a baptism of fire for young matt riding at four.did expect a few more points from ty as well but i could go on.i really feel for your promotion and supporters and know what it is to have really bum seasons at sheffield as well so all i can offer is chins up and for the remainder of fans to get behind your team for the remainder of the season because you certainly don't even want to contemplate the alternative.workington are very important to all supporters up and down the country and it would be a very sad loss to see them fold.
  10. still wouldn't be done by ten.edinburgh started their double header last friday at 7.00 and only just got it finished with no hold ups.two meetings.3 hours would still me a 10.15 finish and lasse needs at least a couple of minutes per each of his races for gardening!!
  11. so we look like there may only be 10 heats concluded by 10.00pm and they will call a halt to the meeting because of the curfew leaving supporters short changed especially the ipswich supporters who will have made the journey to see 10 races?.i,m sure iv, e seem meetings where they have been cut short by one or two races because of the curfew.
  12. don't quite understand the curfew ruling for the double header on thursday.thought it was 10.00pm end of or has special dispensation been allowed because of this.if curfew is 10.00pm then with a start time of nine for the ipswich meeting and also the 15 min earlier start for both meetings, ther is no way that the ipswich meeting will be concluded or am i wrong?
  13. who is the guest for sam masters? might have come to this one with shelf being off but if its r/r then won't bother
  14. lasse will always give of his best, whichever team.just keep him injury free for tomorrow please
  15. your grudge about him is now in the past.has been excellent for the tigers this season and is obviously enjoying life at owlerton.
  16. will be amazed if this goes ahead tomorrow.according to b.b.c weather for Sheffield area, rain from 3.00pm right through till 10.00pm and some between 4 and 5 is going to be particularly heavy
  17. lets face it, there is never going to be vast amounts of money in speedway, never has, never really will but these guys who put life and limb on the line for our entertainment deserve to be paid well.in comparison to the prima donnas of the football world and yes o.k i do accept that they also are prone to injuries but they are also paid a very decent living even down in the lower tiers of the leagues.speedway does rely heavily on sponsorship and perhaps this is an area that should be targeted more.the riders do deserve more and should not have to rely on other sources of income, especially if the sport is to be taken more seriously.bspa and scb should now start to do something about the mess the sport is in so that, at the least, it is made understandable to the people that may watch on bt sport and to supporters who go to watch their teams.
  18. to all promotion, suppoters and everyone else to do with workington speedway.best of luck for the remainder of the season and i just hope and pray that another track is not lost to the sport.always enjoy my visits there.
  19. but it is £20 on a normal race night so is still a tenner saving.14 if you buy in advance.stop moaning.racing is decent at armadale.
  20. strange.there was a fair bit of follow the leader in your double header on b.h.m.which isn't usually the norm.there has also been some terrific racing at owlerton this season too.
  21. "these days usually around a fiver" do you never remember what you have posted.
  22. for a really good scores announcer you need to take a trip to either buxton or scunthorpe.he,s quality!!!
