so we look like there may only be 10 heats concluded by 10.00pm and they will call a halt to the meeting because of the curfew leaving supporters short changed especially the ipswich supporters who will have made the journey to see 10 races?.i,m sure iv, e seem meetings where they have been cut short by one or two races because of the curfew. -

don't quite understand the curfew ruling for the double header on thursday.thought it was 10.00pm end of or has special dispensation been allowed because of this.if curfew is 10.00pm then with a start time of nine for the ipswich meeting and also the 15 min earlier start for both meetings, ther is no way that the ipswich meeting will be concluded or am i wrong? -

thought monarchs was £20 -
lets face it, there is never going to be vast amounts of money in speedway, never has, never really will but these guys who put life and limb on the line for our entertainment deserve to be paid well.in comparison to the prima donnas of the football world and yes o.k i do accept that they also are prone to injuries but they are also paid a very decent living even down in the lower tiers of the leagues.speedway does rely heavily on sponsorship and perhaps this is an area that should be targeted more.the riders do deserve more and should not have to rely on other sources of income, especially if the sport is to be taken more seriously.bspa and scb should now start to do something about the mess the sport is in so that, at the least, it is made understandable to the people that may watch on bt sport and to supporters who go to watch their teams.

to all promotion, suppoters and everyone else to do with workington speedway.best of luck for the remainder of the season and i just hope and pray that another track is not lost to the sport.always enjoy my visits there. -
strange.there was a fair bit of follow the leader in your double header on b.h.m.which isn't usually the norm.there has also been some terrific racing at owlerton this season too.

"these days usually around a fiver" do you never remember what you have posted.
-
for a really good scores announcer you need to take a trip to either buxton or scunthorpe.he,s quality!!!
-
what sense and no its not lost on me hence the reason for the replies.by the way you haven't answered the u.k average wage question.a pint more than a fiver? you obviously live down south somewhere. fiver will get you at least a pint and a half up north in some establishments.
-
suggest you work a bit more overtime then we wouldn't have to endure the brainless tripe that you keep dishing up.
-
i will say this only once more.cardiff is aONE A YEAR event thats every 52 weeks or 365 days if you prefer.that is 0.96 pence per week.thats why the crowds are so big! FACT get over it
-
why do you keep talking rubbishe all the time.those 20 quids are a lot to a lot of people.20 quid would only be loose change if people were minted.suggest you take up watching football.that will get rid of any "loose change" you claim to have. only loose i can think you might be is associated with something you might tighten with a screwdriver.FACT.get over it!! by the way rubbish isn't a spelling error.i did originally put s---e but it didn't get printed
-
hope justere2cgoodspeedway take note
-
then explain this one to me.why is the ice hockey only 16 quid for an adult to watch then and attracts a heck of a lot more than the speedway does.if 2 adults and 2 kids go to speedway thats roughly 40 quid ish PER WEEK.which is a fair chunk out of anyones budget so yes lets charge 20 quid per adult and a tenner per kid and make it 60 quid instead.get real.cort of living has risen tremendously but a lot of folks wages haven't.i used to go out for a few but draw the line at pub prices and now buy from the supermarket if i want a beer and i certainly couldn't afford the beer and speedway.cardiff is also a one off event, not a whole season.plus define average wage to me.
-
totally shambolic and has tainted what has been a great season so far for my team.
-
20 quid might be a pittance to you(are you loaded or well paid job?),but for a lot of people, especially families, then 20 quid or more would probably finish the sport for good, and don't forget its the youngsters who need to be targeted as they are the future. one thing that would help to entice more families would be a good club mascot.i went to the ice hockey at sheffield last week and their mascot steeler dan really does get involved with the kids, dancing etc with them and its a great atmosphere and while i,m not a massive fan of all the razzmatazz the kids and mums and dads really enjoy it and get into the spirit of things.maybe if the mascot mingles with the crowd and dishes out a few sweets etc then it may help the attendances a little.we haven't even got one at owlerton.o.k we've tried face painting etc but something needs to be done to make this sport more attractive to newbies.

does anyone know the severity of lasse,s recurring knee problem.looking at his twitter photo it looks pretty swollen again.hope he is fit for friday and the weekend.

fantastic result from a makeshift team.a big thank you to lewis kerr for inflicting some damage.a massive well done to jan for playing his part with a mighty 8 points.another imperious display from our captain fantastic, scrabs, well ,what can you say, he is awesome and last but not least our manager simon stead who has been like a breath of fresh air since the start of the season and has the confidence of all the team behind him.special mention to tigers on tour.hope you enjoyed your evening and don't get too drunk!
