  1. AMEN to the 2023 season. It will be remembered for injuries, illnesses, guests, r/r, flying bikes, gaps between meetings, weather, and Josh saving our blushes on numerous occasions ………. we will miss him and Brooke but wish them the very best
  2. Firstly, congratulations to Scunthorpe As for us….. I don’t think I have ever endured such a frustrating season. Unlike some, I felt we had a good young team that were ripe to kick on this year but our wheels came off at Berwick when Josh crashed out. Without our leader and showman extraordinaire we were sunk that early. They are a bunch of nice guys but personality doesn’t win meetings. I am a great believer that a winning team has to have great reserves. Josh is the only one I would keep (supposing he wants to come back?) but as always happens, the others will probably come back to bite us. Speedway eh?
  3. They were trying to put us Monarchs travellers out of our misery Congratulations to Scunny and Thank heaven for Josh Pickering
  4. How about swinging the thread in a better direction…… Vadim has ruffled some feathers but is it because of his birthright or because he has caught everyone’s eyes and imagination as a brilliant signing by Glasgow. He certainly appears to be a true talent on a speedway bike Personally, I’d like to hope he feels welcome and enjoys riding in the Uk
  5. Tickets from the postponed original staging against Scunthorpe on Friday Sept 15th are now automatically valid for the restating on Saturday 23rdSept or for the Poole Play Off match on Friday 29th Sept.
  6. I would “maybe” have taken a wee jaunt down the A1 if I’d known Kye was guesting….. nice lad Occasionally a “cobbled together” set of riders can produce a good meeting. Fingers crossed as both teams deserve a wee silver lining
  7. Get Crescent Girl a set of Kevlars, he walks the walk…….
  8. On another note, Get Well Soon to Sam Hagon. Nasty injury for a youngster
  9. That was a disgraceful performance by Sedgy for Plymouth last night. Why take a guest booking if you have no intention of riding to your ability? Sedgy knows his way around Armadale and set-ups etc but his score for Plymouth 4(5) and his complete disinterest compared to 10(4) for Brummies speaks volumes. Very naughty
  10. Thanks Erik Good meeting with scores ever changing and some great racing. Well done the boys
  11. He probably turned up because he knew he would get it in the neck if he didn’t NOW PLEASE leave him alone - there are plenty other things to talk about
  12. We can have all the seasons in one day up here which is sadly what happened yesterday
  13. Sadly it can also mean the difference between securing a team place for next year or not
  14. Just a mention about the live stream from Poole today. Great coverage and interviews, thanks to all concerned and congrats to Poole
  15. I think we could have Bartosz Zmarzlik and still not trouble you. What we need is reserves that can win races or at least be competitive
  16. Great to see Sam back last night, majestic as usual and backed up by his team Many thanks to Ritchie but 1 point from Dayle & Max says it all
  17. I was once at an away meeting and one of our riders had really bad hay fever. His Mum knew every drug on the banned list. Nothing she knew of was working. I phoned one of the referees, who phoned someone else and in no time we had a reply / solution. As with many things in life, Ignorance is no excuse
  18. Thanks for your “concern” Yes Craig has only just got his bike back but you don’t break a light standard in half without causing damage and, yes I hope the ref has his / her eyes on ALL riders at the start
  19. Well they started and they finished and the bit in between wasn’t too shabby. Congrats to everyone involved but especially to Dan & Stevie
  20. I think Charles could pull it off as long as everyone else can escape his ridiculous 1st bend riding I hope all the youngsters enjoy the meeting (if it’s on) good luck to them As already said tho’ the soggy track will be a leveller
  21. Yeah but we’ve only got one Josh, plenty injuries and Dayle Don’t even mention Cookie as he has our full support, posters on here obviously weren’t at Armadale last Friday. Reading about it didn’t even come close
  22. Sadly Adams injury has almost been missed post meeting. Best wishes for a Speedy recovery lad
