The defeat had nothing to do with it , it was another track on my list to visit .Speedway tracks are now prepared for home wins and not for entertainment .Pre pandemic the best away track to visit was Redcar superb track makes great racing went twice in 2019 two defeats for the Scorpions but great racing at the Redcar track

First visit to Leicester tonight ,really nice set up but how slick is the track unbelievable. We went not expecting a win and to be fair early on was a gaters paradise here’s my assessment of the riders Danny King. excellent guest Simon Lambert missed the gate on first two rides but all effort Theo Pyper hated the place and you could tell Tero Aarnio expected a bit more from him tonight to be fair Tommy Jorgensen again one of our better riders on the night Macca all effort and signs of a revival after these two meetings Jordan Palin a poor night to be fair and looked like he didn’t like the track Now I won’t be over critical as this riders have balls to race for our entertainment and I respect them ,plus it will take a very good side to go to Leicester and take something this year . Let’s all be thankful to be racing this season and we go again Wednesday at Birmingham one last point not impressed with the tractor racing the water bowser every 3 to 4 heats really prolonged the meeting , so tapes up again this week and support our boys as good as we can , just think what Kent’s fans think of there efforts this last week

Going back to the team change I personally think if you are replacing two riders you should not be allowed to bin two riders off and bring the top rank rider in and use a guest rider /replacement to cover the rest of the remaining average

I think why people are questioning McDonald is after this Saturday he will be given a new average as it will be four home and away fixtures so his new average will kick in within 7 days I think . So why try and strengthen the top end with Ellis coming in and let the bottom end just carry on . Speedway can be ruthless and if a change will freshen things up I’m all for it as the home form is good and Palin has been taking an extra reserve ride

If the Scorpions are to make another change then it has to be Josh McDonald .He’s on a 4 point average ; don’t know what the pts limit available to for a new rider would be . But is there any available riders what would improve us and ready to come to the tapes immediately ?

Might have done but he result would have been different if he did ride in that race for certain

Good meeting Gappmeire surprised everyone with his score ; but I think the turning point was heat 12 I think the Berwick team manager should have put Leon Flint in instead of Kyle Bickley. As a Scunny fan that was the turning point solid everywhere but Jordan came to the table and a good 3 pts in the end , McDonald’s form is worrying but he was injured last week so hope he comes good. What we need to remember the Scorpions were favourites for the wooden spoon. . Enjoy the journey

Can some one explain why the away fixture at Scunthorpe in a few weeks has been removed from the fixture list and no new date is set for it ? Thanks in advance
