Swedish Elitserien 2015, Round 6
Rob B replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Not the first time, Pedersen wiped Hancock out several times like that, rememeber it at a Prague GP in early 2000's, that reaction been coming for a long time like it was the final straw, -
It says "all decisions taken by a Referee" are deciding the positions over the line not a decision then?
-
Do they have a monitor/screen there that they can rewind it and view it back back on straight away? Most places just have a camera and can't expect a referee to look at a camera.
-
Thankfully Steve Worrall is Belle Vue asset else he would have been missing too as Newcastle at Somerset.
-
Yes there are, Fricke & Nielsen are on their way to World U21 qualifiers, not PL meetings.

It was only the scoreline bouncing back and forth that kept the meeting interesting, the racing was terrible, track was a slick dust bowl just like it was for the Coventry meeting which was also after stock cars. Apart from the excellent heat 15 the only other decent race was heat 9 where Wright and Worrall passed each other several times until Wright squeezed down a gap down home straight and turned too early across Worrall causing a pile up. -

What an unbelievable finish! Nicholls winning, Kildemand and Batchelor team riding well to keep Zagar behind. On last bend Kildemand makes a mistake allowing Zagar past, Batchelor then slows down on run in to the line thinking its Kildemand next to him but it is Zagar who powers past on then line -
Yes because if your weren't there you were just looking at a computer screen seeing Nielsen scored 2 points so must be crap when in reality he wasn't, was well on the pace and battling for points. In the previous race Heat 8 Worrall was easily passed by Wright. I understand what you are saying that if Worrall is just slightly better then you have to put him in but you also have to take into account how is Nielsen going to improved if he keeps being replaced every meeting and what it is going to do for his confidence. A lot of meetings this year it has been definitely obvious the right call to replace Nielsen with Worrall but last night wasn't one of them.
-
Absolutely. KK had couple of bad meetings but quite often scored double figures. Zagar has had lot of poor meetings and quite often doesn't score double figures.
-
Was you there? If you were you would have seen that although Nielsen had scored 2 at that point he wasn't riding too bad as winning Heat 12 proved! It was a close call and not an obvious one

First metal work for grandstand went up yesterday : http://bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=1380 -
A disappointing result in the the end, before the meeting would have been very happy with that result and predicted we would just get a point, but with Zagar scoring a disgraceful 2 again should have been a comfortable away victory.

I didn't think track was too bad, seen it far worst at Poole. -

And we were weakened too having Richie Worrall in only scoring 2 points! Two engine failures in heat 12 & 13 cost us the win. -

Nah going to be fine most of the day, small chance of shower late afternoon/early evening -
Yes this new points system is ridiculous. I liked the old bonus point for winning on aggregate, That made home teams need to win by as many as possible and away teams wanting to keep it close even if 20 points down, always something to ride for.

First of all was the stand at Newport actually ever finished? Everytime I went it still looked like a building site. We are talking a bit more professional here then a few concrete steps with some seats bolted on them with a dark and dingy bar and toilets underneath. They haven't updated for about 2 weeks but latest photos here : http://www.bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=1338 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.800845563322698.1073741831.129552893785305&type=3
