That's what the fans who went to Gelsenkirchen thought too... -

So the fact the GP is been cancelled and being moved is not a disaster? Yes they have had rain but the problem is the track was only laid a few weeks ago without inadequate drainage, no where enough time. BSI should have moved it to Daugvapils a couple of months ago when it was obvious then there was going to be problems. -

This GP has been a disaster from the start, surprised BSI let it get to this stage, up to last week the place was still a building site with no floodlights etc. If tomorrow does go ahead the track is bound to be soft and cut up, with it being narrow and square bends can see it being a nightmare -

Putting a temporary track in a stadium without a roof in Denmark a bad idea!!! -
BSI getting desperate realising how poor crowd going to be : http://bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=1197

That's the figure promotion were saying at the public consultations.Think most of it on bends 3 & 4 on top of car park, bit of room on bend 2.
-
Yes but been told it is 13,000 now
-
Yep the shape was the most important thing for Chris Morton designing it, it's a mixture of Hyde Road, Bydgoszcz and Torun. Straight fairly short with longer bends. Straights have a slight kink in them like Hyde Road did
-
Yes mostly. There has had to be some changes due to the covenant land issue so it has had to be squeezed in a certain area, because the track size and shape is most important and couldn't be compromised there is now no terracing around the apex of the bends. Car parking is limited but that was always going to be the case in the built up area. This document is the most interesting provides most of the details : http://www.publicaccess.manchester.gov.uk/associateddocs/selecteddoc.aspx?106133-dsx-0001.pdf

Yes a deal has been done with Showcase cinema for overflow parking, lots of parking there across the road, I'm sure the GRA will want to make some money and charge to use their car park too.

6,000 is standard capacity, original plans were temporary extra grandstands can be added round bends and back straight to make capacity 15,000 for big events

Eurosport didn't cut the final off, it was broadcast Live fine. It was only if you recorded it using sky+ that it missed the final. This is Eurosport's mistake for not letting Sky know it was over-running so sky could update the planner.

I posted when the first photos were online of the track in December that it was far too narrow entering and exiting bends for the size of the track. As it is on top of an athletics track it was always going to be similar to Berlin & Gothenburg, can't see how they are going to be able to do much about it.
-
They must have seen my post and realised their mistake
-
Eurosport have made a scheduling mistake for this GP? The GP starts at 19.00 local time, Finland is 2 hours ahead of UK but doesn't start on Eurosport till 17.45
-
Track length is 400m, very similar to Gothenburg as on top of an athletics track. Straights look narrow to be though entering and exiting bends. http://www.speedwaygp.com/event/tampere

Firstly it won't be a 'tv programme' it will probably be just one camera, showing races, won't be any interviews on anything like that purely races so you can bet on them and see what happens. Also it won't be great quality, just a small window in the corner of the betting website
-
Also every single meeting to be streamed live on betting websites : http://myemail.constantcontact.com/At-The-Races--Streaming-Division-signs-rights-deal-with-British-Speedway.html?soid=1110108263682&aid=U9c-ysPz1Cw
