Jaizer agree the people who own Glasgow are doing a lot for speedway, but at great expense yes they can afford it, but some rates they have paid / are paying riders to appear for Glasgow are shocking, ( won't go into figures on here ) but if they want to spend it that's up to them, but you still have Cammie knickers throwing it away

Maybe signed top riders but always ran to a budget, yes higher crowds in them days, from what I'm hearing Glasgow running at a massive loss these past few seasons, but if your owners have deep pockets enjoy the speedway, but until Cammie knickers goes you won't have much success imo

As said above by Marko, most or all are true, my personal hatred to said Poole and Glasgow is the we think we are better than anyone, we will win at all costs, throwing money at teams to win, yes I get it that the promotion can do what they feel is correct for them, but is it good for speedway?? Look at my team won the treble in 2018 but now sadly now more, but was a great season to make H18TORY long live the comets

1987 It was the Workington Tigger's sorry tigers, not a very good crowd, then they reverted to Workington comets, crowds did not improve, then we had the cow poo incident then no more speedway as they (Glasgow) only appeared on a Friday afternoon for that evenings fixture with very dodgy roadworks lights, can't see Edinburgh trying anything like this, hopefully the new comets track will be up and running later this year, then maybe conference league next year ?? Up the comets

Good luck to the monarchs finding a new home, but I don't think a track share with Northside/Workington would work, look what happened last time a bunch of scots track shared in Workington ended up a cow s**t show when they watered the track with a slurry tanker with out cleaning it

But it's the old chicken and egg syndrome, if your struggling you can't/won't pay anybody for help, but if you do and it does not work you loose even more money, speedway is a hard market to do well, and has an older fan base, so going forward got to try and attract younger fans, who may see a good show on TV GP meetings, but then to see speedway at brough park, scunny etc on a cool evening takes a hell of a lot of selling, they are gonna need more than just 15 heats of speedway over 90 minutes. One thing I suggested to various comets promotion's but did not get taken up, is try to get a local singer/group who has a following, get them to put a few songs on, people may come to watch them, then enjoy the speedway, or the singer/group may get further booking from someone in the crowd for a party etc, then it's Wni win, more people come to speedway, singer/group get a booking. I know it's not easy but if nothing is tried crowds gets lower speedway folds.
