  1. I would take Harris all day long, but I totally agree about Shanes/Morris/Paco...(that's why I put 'reluctantly' in my previous post) I also agree to keep Nielsen/Pearson and I think Sedgeman has done enough to earn another contract.....throw in Pickering and that's a decent 4 riders to start with. Dream Team stance? I would love to see Covatti back at Perry Barr.
  2. Josh Pickering - Stefan Nielsen - Chris Harris - James Pearson - and most likely, but reluctantly (IMO) Ashley Morris - James Shanes - Paco Castagna.
  3. Leon rode well last night because they finally put some dirt on the track, which was to his liking. He loves to attack the dirt....probably why he's way ahead of Kemp in his development.
  4. Tom's crash looked like rider error to me....inexperience! I hope he's ok and is fit for Wednesday U21 Final. He has a great chance of winning this meeting.
  5. Think that was just for the month of June ??? £10 across the 'board' (pardon the pun) would be a fair suggestion.
  6. Definitely.....it's all about the money no doubt?
  7. Teams look pretty even to me! Be good to see how Complin goes and whether he's riding for a 2023 contract?
  8. Quite right.... Shanes would be a useful reserve at best. I thought Morris could come good this season, but he hasn't and looks like he never will? I'd give Pearson another season and try and hold on to Nielsen. As for the manager? he's tactically inept FULL STOP! P.s Please don't bring Paco back.....nice guy, but .......
  9. Why not donate any profits to a charity of Alan's family's choice ? Hodgkins Lymphoma springs to mind....
  10. Great news! Hopefully, from the 'big-big' learning curve that he's indicated....he will not only bring in some decent riders, but a new team manager ! Not saying shoe LR the door, but bring in a proper speedway manager, not just someone who knows the tricks of the trade so to speak. LR can lend his experience/involvement with just promotional side of things!
  11. Not sure you're post makes any valid points in relation to Kennett's situation ? Good management by May IMO....why wouldn't he use the rules to the benefit of his team? I was just merely pointing out how astute he is as a manger....which reflects my original comment re: the use of team tactics etc....
  12. Not bitter at all....I dont do bitterness....if you read my post closely, I was complimenting the manager's enterprising skills ?
  13. In my eyes it's not about money....it's about honouring a legend!
  14. Especially when manufacturing a guest ALL season for Kennett
  15. its a bham v Cradley encounter... a fitting tribute!
  16. In the event of the British Final being abandoned....the Cardiff Wildcard should go to the leading (British) rider in the British League averages (IMO) I guess (at present) that would make 'Bomber' the worthy candidate!
  17. Great news.... Weds Sept 7th....Alan Grahame Memorial Meeting.... I look forward to paying my respect to a true legend of the sport. Not just a great rider, but a great person too!
