  1. I think that it will be a great send off for our greatest ever rider, the Shaleway will be absolutely banged out, I can’t wait for it!
  2. Centrally located, very well organised on race nights and probably the best supported track in the premiership, what is not to love😊
  3. Not too bad a meeting and presentation for the newbies, I hope that it drags a few of them to their local tracks as long as they take the trouble to work out where they are as there was not much of a mention of them!
  4. The 3rd of October, Tai Woffinden farewell at the Shaleway. The place will be banged out, I can’t wait👍😊
  5. I must be watching something different, I think that the presentation is pretty good with some clever camera work on the racing and keeping away from shots of empty seats in the grandstand.
  6. Just announced on the British final broadcast that the Tai Woffinden testimonial will be staged at the Shaleway on 3rd of October. What a night that will be, I can’t wait for it😊👍
  7. I agree. Northampton as a venue has proved itself with plenty of free parking, very professional and friendly organisation on race nights by the stadium staff, very impressive attendances and, overall, good facilities and a good race night experience. It is in a perfectly sited central location for supporters from all over the country. It definitely deserves to have shared meetings allocated to it.
  8. Now that Northampton have proved themselves with very good attendances, not so much with the results on the track though, hopefully, the promoters will invest in a much better team for next season. Last nights attendance was the biggest since the opening night I reckon. It was an embarrassing result but overall this season has, so far, been a success for interest and crowds with an impressive local hardcore of support being established. To a point, I think that people are making allowances for the fact that it’s the first season with a late start but next season I don’t think that they may be so forgiving. I am still enjoying having a team to support and the whole race night experience after a good few years away from watching live Speedway, plus, the fact that it has all been a big one in the eye for the cynics who were saying and I think, weirdly, hoping that two men and their dog would be the only ones attending!
  9. Looking forward to seeing BV tomorrow. Hopefully, the Foxes will edge a win. Leicester on Monday will be a cracker, especially with Mr Dickson still smarting from being beaten on their last visit to the shaleway!
  10. I take my grandson go karting at Rye House regularly and each time I do, I look in on the Speedway stadium with a mixture of sadness, nostalgia and anger. I spent many a happy Sunday afternoon watching some great racing. Its criminal what has been allowed to happen under the noses of my local council.
  11. I totally agree with you. We have not had an opportunity like this for years. It’s a start. If ITV get some positivity with viewing figures and feedback it could well lead to more meetings in this country and Europe being screened. I have, luckily, been given a new lease of life in Speedway thanks to Northampton opening and I am thoroughly enjoying it warts and all, roll on tomorrow night against the Aces👍
  12. I agree with that. It’s been a really good season attendance wise, not so much on the track unfortunately, so it would be good to have a meeting like that to keep the interest going for a little longer.
  13. I went to Thursday nights meeting with my son and I would estimate the attendance at around 2,000. There were quite a few Leicester fans there but we were pleased to see a large Northampton support. The noise and enthusiasm of the home fans on gaining their first win was impressive and infectious! We were very impressed with the facilities and the general organisation at the stadium. After many years in the Speedway wilderness, I have finally found a local team that I can support. We can’t wait for the next meeting. At last, is there a chink of light for the future of our great sport🤞🤞
  14. Woffy in the second semi on Saturday night, still in Bydgoszcz celebrating !
  15. Keep the conspiracy theories going, it is all we have left in speedway ain't it.
  16. Just read on BSPA Godfrey saying we must protect the credibility of the sport regarding guests. I am sitting in Bydgoszcz after the GP reading this and showing the posting to the Poles, them and me are p@@@@@g ourselves.
