  1. Very very good Glasgow side, no room for Jack Smith then.
  2. We've more chance of Nicki or Bjarne returning!!!
  3. Yeah but if they do that won't the team who have already declared or started naming riders kick up one almighty fuss!!! I'm struggling to see where our out out and out number one is gonna come from, assuming we go down that route. I think you need a rider who can win heats 13 and 15 (home and away) and finding one of those with an average below 8 with what is left is gonna be difficult, they are like rocking horse s**t. We'll just have to wait and see. I am assuming that Lewis Rose won't be a Diamond as I believe he has signed with Rzeszow and they must be a Sunday track as Aaron Summers is also in their declared lineup/squad and as he has sign for Berwick, I find it hard to believe they would have signed a rider with continental commitments on the same night as them. I appreciate that Rose and Summers are part of a 16 man squad and may never get a ride but it has to be factored in, especially is the team does well and they are required at the end of the year. After all, Poland must be obeyed or suffer the consequences!!!
  4. Tweet by Newcastle Speedway As soon as we have an update we will post it on our twitter or Facebook pages. There is a lot going on behind the scenes and will let you know in due course. Thanks for your patience and understanding in this busy period for the club #diamondspeedway https://twitter.com/diamondspeedway
  5. I just saw that and you beat me too it. Either Newcastle are not running and therefore needs a new team or is not part of Newcastle's plans. Interesting!!
  6. The Tyne and Wear Ferry doesn't, I was gutted one Sunday evening when I missed my Diamonds updates as I was crossing the Tyne!!! :P I would have thought that George like myself and most people, when they go on holiday tend to ignore business related emails/txts etc as they just want to relax and leave work behind for 2 weeks (I know I do).
  7. Yes to Ash at reserve and Rose as well at 3 or 4. Ludvig at a push but you can keep the rest, no thanks. I'd have Alfie back as well. I think we will see the return of Kus next year if costs have to be kept down. I wasn't aware Steve wasn't back next year, I know he has signed a deal in Poland but so has Lewis Rose but I assumed they would be racing Sat nights?
  8. I would assume that Alfie will be recalled by Lakeside!!
  9. That was one of my favourite Diamonds teams of all time. I used to love going to watch the Diamonds every week and wandering through the pits at the end of the meeting, nearly getting run over by riders who were coming off track after practicing or reserve riders finishing races. Absolutely bloody great. 😁😁 If I had a time machine I would travel back to that time again. I have loved watching the likes of Pedersen, Bargh, Larsen, Bach, Lambert and Worrall since then but always loved the Owens, Beaton and Hunter, to watch and I wish I had travelled away during those days. I know us die hards get criticised for harking on back to the good old days but I was a kid back then and it was this team that got me hooked on speedway, plus my Dad and Uncle and I think Ian Thomas was a one off. George English has done and does a fantastic job and I take my hat off to him.
  10. No it was to the medical staff as their was more of them!! 😂🤣😂🤣
  11. I'd be interested to know that if he is taking the proverbial, what are his team mates opinion? If we consider one of them rode injured!!
  12. If I was the promoters I would be checking my jeans pockets before putting them in the wash, as well as old wallets and the sofa to see if I can find any extra cash. I got to the stadium 25 mins before the start and it was like a morgue and I don't think it got much better!!!
  13. I'm giving speedway a miss next year, I'm gonna watch lawnmower racing, professionally run sport, worldwide and they don't have a doubling up problem or double points rule. Anyone with me, Kimi is??? http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/41484455?intc_type=singletheme&intc_location=cbbc&intc_campaign=newsround&intc_linkname=vidclip_lawnmowerracing_contentcard5 http://www.blmra.co.uk/
  14. Is it simply a case of he was not riding so why put his picture up? I hope he does have an injury as if not that is a real piss take (this coming from one of his biggest fans). I think as people have said, with him we would of won as Wells seemed to be just going through the motions and only really came to life in that heat 13. I wonder if the club got the response from fans that they wanted, however, I do not think it will make any difference, as attendances for the last 3 meaningless fixtures will probably be dire. Nothing to race for so people may choose to save the money and stay in, I hope not. Well done Glasgow by the way, you appeared to want it more and as Lawson tailed off last night (lost his gating gloves) Worrall came to life.
  15. The dinner dance is usually held at the end of the season and as we haven't reached ours yet, maybe that is the reason!!!
  16. Diamonds website states agreed by both teams that track unfit.
  17. Meeting is off, no idea why!!!!! Person who I spoke to in car park (no an official) said Worky didn't want to ride the track??? Any further updates!!
  18. Yes on a tactical ride but very much doubt in the same Diamonds side. We can but hope.
  19. What happened between Worrall and Campton after Heat 15, a bit of slapping and handbags according to updates!!! 🤔🤔
  20. Forecast doesn't look good for this. Rain forecast at 5 and 6 and it is currently p*****g down at the moment!!!
  21. I think that is brilliant and is often the sort of things the younger generation want to see. I think it is great when things like this are done and yes you can't do it all the time and during league meetings and I'm not suggestion the likes of Doyle et al start doing it during televised matches (the stripping off part I mean) but it should be done more often and Redcar should be commended, as should those who took part and played along. I remember Berbier Collier and Shane Bowes riding around Brough in stockings and suspenders, hilarious at the time, but this sort of things adds to the atmosphere. I used to love watching riders doing wheelies etc, (still do and I often think it is more just as entertaining watching those try who can't ) after race wins and yes it is the thrill of the racing and such which bring punters through the door but stuff like this adds to the atmosphere and makes peoples evening more enjoyable. Sounds like it was a good evening and wished I had gone now. I haven't been to the Silver Helmet since Crumpy won it because since then the line up has been sh**e, nut the lineup looked good last night but due to uni commitments I couldn't attend.
  22. Anyone who is interested and did not know about this link on Youtube, see Post 211 to watch the meeting. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=83762&page=15
