  1. Surely they operate FIFO First in First Out Commonwealth Games has standalone specific testing Team and Centre anyway.
  2. Pretty sure BSPL and SCB require proof of long term injury for any insurance or BenFund claims. They don't just rubber stamp continuing facilities. Most notable thing with Kennett is he hasn't ridden on Grass or Longvtrack all year, even to "try fitness". Best ignore gobrubbishes like motormouth from Poole spreading rumours.
  3. Total hunch... On his average maybe he has a 2023 deal with another Club, track more technical, may be new in the Premier??...with an old mate as TM??...
  4. I've stopped going to Poole. Full of the Speedway eqivalent of Sun + Mail Readers who think they know everything, cheers when opposition riders fall and cheer when there riders knock them off and altogether an uncomfortabe atmosphere if you sit in that Stand in away team colours. Bigots probably best sums the worst of them up. Thankfully most Speedway supporters are mild mannered enough to cope with it but I voted with my feet some years ago. I've done Brummies at Cradley / Wolves / Coventry , Black Country derbies in the past but never met a more blinkered set as at Poole As for when they visit your own Track, you'll wonder if the clown Prince and his merry band have actually been watching a match in a parallel universe so utterly biased are they in all they see, say and report. Sooner they go back to the Premier the better.
  5. Lee Kilby if he's available. Very knowlegable and would be an asset in other roles too.
  6. yeah that landed wrong, I meant British Passport - clearly Mark and Adam should and would qualify ...
  7. I agree Tai, Dan , Robert should have invites to British Final. If they decline fair enough. British Champion should be a badge of great honour like it used to be. Not a Pass in to a GP at Cardiff or a Competition of "the best of the rest". In 5 years it's possible the 10 best British riders WILL be riding in Poland regularly and may only ride in UK when it suits. The situation in Sweden may be a bigger factor there than anything though as if UK becomes better "second option" than Sweden then who knows. The British Final should be marketed as "the very best of britain" (by birth)
  8. Fair play to Dan and Lambert who were not afraid to jump in to the toughest League and try to progress rather than stay in comfort zones. It's clear to see how quickly Brennan has done the same, he would probably not have progressed as quickly had circumstances not forced his hand and it's sad they did but every cloud has a silver lining and circumstances made his mnd up but moving to Belle Vue and Glasgow, power big tracks has bought him on far quicker than had he stayed in his comfort zone at Eastbourne. He needs to be riding in Polish middle tier regularly next season to ensure he keeps up with some of his Under 24 peers in Poland , Czech and Scandinavia. No reason he can't do that and ride for BV and Glasgow either.
  9. the guy who has made a career as a team manager of pulling every stunt possible, usually every August to win titles. Fair play to him but crass hypocrisy for him to blame pLymouth or anyone else for bending and manipuating rules to suit. If Lawson hadn't taken MP-T out either that would have been one less Guest for PLymouth, having said that so dangerous was the move he, Middleditch, would have been resorting to a Guest for sure as Lawson would have severly damaged himself and not MPT.
  10. The British Final as a BSPL / SCB Event should standalone as a ring-fenced National Championsip of the highest importance like it used to be. Ditto the Premier / Championship / NDL titles. The "wild card" has almost become more important and dfelected the pride and importance of being British Champion. SGP is a totally different entity and should remain so. Team GB is an independent entity and has thrived as such at Full and Youth Level although BSPL have interfered negatively with possible GB Fixtures on more than one occasion and caused cancellations. May be it sould be left to Team GB who participate in Events under the SGP and Global banner to pick the "wild card" based on best interests of Team GB and International Riders.
  11. Lot of kids here and a great mascot. I'm sure many will be back. I agree they need hero's to worship though. We all know the product can be very exciting, the current concept is stale. Needs vision to revitalise the concept. The product, 4 bikes, no brakes, 4 laps is brilliant when done properly.
  12. Well 2 fingers up the jacksey for the keyboard warriors trolls and moaners. Stupendous outstanding exciting speedway great racing passes thrills and spills. Brummies 11 being fight back to 39 39 and heats 14 and 15 probably two of the best heats of the season.. All 4 side by side... We'll done Plymouth lovely people great banter and atmosphere... Proud to be a Brummie. But the stream if u still can. Restored the faith. Who needs teams Group of riders, jumpers for goalposts stuff.. Split the riders and put on a SHOW...
  13. As many as time and finances allow spread over several clubs. Like many people who don't wear blinkers like you I suspect
  14. Doesn't matter who is playing. It's competitive speedway. Ask how many Plymouth fans who'll go to support their patched up team or Brummies fans like me who've booked holiday around the fixture if we care?
  15. I 100% disagree. How do you know when the injured riders are going to be fit? Good chance some will be out all season and others may not be fit for 2-3 weeks at least. How long do you wait? Weathers set fair, better than even chance that end of August , September / October could be a complete wash out. Plymouth had a weakened team the other week v Poole at home, kept scores respectable and a big crowd apparently. They had a weak team v Oxford last week, somehow got a draw and another good crowd. They've played PR brilliantly and called on the "in the trenches spirit" very well. Poole raced an incredibly weak Brummies Team last week. Had a very good crowd and some entertaining racing. Both Plymouth and Poole will get good "walk up" holiday crowds. They wont understand Guests and R/R and nuances, they just want to be entertained. It's not like they've advertised top stars or full teams. Anyone going who has bothered to look will know the make up of the teams. Hopefully its a good match, good crowd, entertaining and NO ONE gets injured. Most there outside of the hardcore simply won't figure that Michael Palm Toft and Ben Barker arent there but Lewi Kerr and Richie Worrall are... It's 15 heats of Speedway. Enjoy it while its there and moan when it's not.
  16. Restaging British final Adam Ellis 21 Champ who never had SGP chance gets wildcard Fair play I thinks both counts right
  17. Let's not confuse 2 issues here. The British Final CAN and should be fully restaged. The SGP wildcard is effectively between Brennan and Harris. Thats the only decision to be made
  18. Agreed It would actually be good to know what the criteria of speedway testing is and just as important what's not covered
  19. I can't argue re athletics but the point I'm making is that I think they are different sports testing for different things. Maybe good if the SCB or BSPL could actually say what is tested for and what isn't.
  20. I think youre100% correct if you were referring to the testing procedures used by elite sports. Those sports testing for steroids and anabolic drugs and masking drugs. Soccer, Cycling. Rugby, Athletics, Weight Lifting, etc. I don't believe that Speedway is testing to that level or type of substance. I believe its more of a recreational drug and alcohol urine test. There have been examples of complete innocence like Kyle Howarth due to prescription drugs Plymouth PR was very specific about prescription drugs Barker was taking for known and documented injuries. They must have evidence of those prescriptions and GP or Hospital evidence. The B Test in this case should be able to distinguish the amount and type of substances genuinely in prescribed medicines and genuinely in illegal recreational drugs. Got little to do with WADA type steroid tests although it is under the same umbrella of Sport. Like others have said innocent until proven guilty. The fact he took the test rather than scarper like Steve Boxhall says something too.
  21. My guess Nicol, Edwards and Complin (after his performance last time)
  22. may be not assume their Team has beaten the Printers deadline LOL https://plymouth-speedway.com/gladiators-v-the-brummies/
  23. I wonder who is left for us? Plymouth certainly going for a win with this Team https://plymouth-speedway.com/gladiators-v-the-brummies/ Brennan / Edwards and Paco may be for us??..
  24. Each Club with a sponsors licence has I think 5 licences. If a Club doesn't have one, I think Company has to have min 3 years of accounts so in real terms more than 4 years old, they can ask a Club with unused licences to ask if they can use one. Thats my understanding anyway
