  1. Playing Devils advocate here. ..... But If Sheffield were to replace Poole, thoughts on him replacing Ellis so as not to keep having to use a guest when riding for Lakeside?
  2. Taken from lovespeedway24.co.uk Team manager Chris Louis has warned his under-performing Witches to buck their ideas up following their Northern nightmare at the weekend. After defeats at Scunthorpe, Workington and Glasgow, Louis pulled no punches over his teams performance and admitted they were in a precarious position as they chase an end-of-season play-off spot. In a revealing interview, Louis bemoaned his teams inability to adapt to difficult conditions at Scunthorpe before citing a lack of preparation ahead of the Glasgow defeat. It is hugely frustrating for me, more than I could have ever imagined, insisted Louis who wont be looking to make team changes. I wouldnt say I am happy with what I have got and its fair to say that several of the boys need to buck up their ideas. Our play-off position is precarious, given the positions of other teams and their fixtures in hand, and although we are not at that stage where we will be putting loads of pressure on ourselves, we do have to perform. The Witches, who host Rye House on Thursday, began the weekend with a heavy 55-38 defeat at Scunthorpe, before throwing away an eight-point lead with four heats left to lose 47-43 at Workington. On Sunday, Glasgow inflicted more misery on the Witches, 53-40 and left Louis to deliver a stark assessment of his teams failings, starting with the defeat to Workington. With four heats to go they (Workington) took a long break for a track grading and that knocked us out of our rhythm, they did the perfect job on us, added Louis. At Scunthorpe, they prepared a very hard, slick track and the first half of the meeting which we lost by 19, with two tactical rides, was a reflection of how poor we were. The lads probably did not adjust to the track conditions for the opening eight races but they are good enough and should be very focused and able to adapt to tough conditions. Sundays defeat was a case of one too many meetings and lots of miles took their toll. I dont think the team, individually, were prepared well enough for varying reasons, although I dont want to take anything away from Glasgow. Meanwhile, Louis is confident Adam Ellis will be fit for Thursday, after the youngster suffered a heavy fall in the defeat at Glasgow and was withdrawn from the meeting.
  3. That's a bit Ageist and sexist my friend! But must be a newcomer as I don't think I've seen any females under 50 at Foxhall before! Lol (wink)
  4. Gonna be close just hope we manage to cling on to the overall victory! depends on what the score is after 4 heats,
  5. Thing is a poor night from your number 1 should be single figures. But that's 6 and 7s not 3 and 4. I thought Nicholls was going to be number 1 next year?
  6. Tempted to travel up for this tonight. But just wary on the rain forecast for later. Also on how Worrall and Tungate will go after their long trips back from Germany?
  7. Result... 1 5 Adrian Miedziński 3 2 2 3 2 12+ 2 16 Janusz Kołodziej 3 2 3 2 2 12+ 3 6 Peter Kildemand 0 2 2 3 3 10 4 4 Kenni Larsen 1 3 3 2 w 9 5 12 Jonas Davidsson 3 1 3 2 0 9 6 13 Jurica Pavlic 1 3 2 1 2 9 7 7 Patryk Dudek 1 d 1 3 3 8+3 8 1 Andrzej Lebiediew 3 1 1 0 3 8+2 9 14 Josef Franc 0 3 1 1 3 8+1 10 11 Maksim Bogdanow 2 3 0 2 1 8+0 11 8 Kjastas Puodżuks 2 0 3 0 2 7 12 2 Andriej Karpow 2 0 0 3 1 6 13 15 Michael Jepsen Jensen 2 2 1 1 0 6 14 3 Jozsef Tabaka 0 1 0 1 1 3 15 10 Anders Thomsen 1 1 0 d 1 3 16 R1 Martin Malek 0 0 2 0 0 2 17 9 Daniel Nermark Think its 9 that go through? Or could be 8 and 1 wc to join: Gollob, Sayfutdinov, Jonsson, Vaculik, Pedersen, G Laguta
  8. Doesn't Kroner just race at weekend's due to his job in the banking industry? So Would make sense to be "ill" on a Monday?
  9. Wow, so they nearly all turned up in every heat! Ipswich were good, Somerset poor, and the track superb! Wasn't just gate and go either with some good first bends and some passes after that. Risager's pass of Brady Kurtz in 12 was top drawer. Tungate only one with a max but Manzares and Worrall so close. (Damm you Nick Morris in heat 15) Should be enough in the return leg but no Worrall or Ellis so.......?
  10. Can't see how it's Proctor. Grajczonek beat Tungate in a run off for 4th place in Aussie Finals. Both ended on 44 pts.
  11. So how can Morris ride for Somerset and not Swindon? On the 4th April both Swindon and Somerset were riding but rode at Swindon. .... ah Ok I'll answer my own question. Swindon match is rearranged fixture Todd Kurtz and Starke at reserve
  12. Hmmmm that's possible. Fisher Wells or Bach best options to guest then?
  13. Ben Morley for Aspregen was mentioned earlier today but no news on Morris. Which must mean rr for Morris as guest can be for either when 2 missing. If only Aspregen missing would have to be rr for him
  14. Vissing Lanham Wells Bach Klindt are all options for Worrall. Can only use a NL guest for Ellis.
  15. Can the riding order of cup matches still allow the number 1 to ride at any 1-5 position like in the past few years?
  16. Ah excellent another reason to pop along then, in the past used to get a burger from the "big frying pan" outlet behind the main stand, then it wasn't there so would end up at the services opposite. Anyone remember the "spaceship" McDonalds at Alconbury?
  17. Hate to think the best thing is the Fish and Chips! Well it maybe was when it was a proper Fish Shop but now.....?! Anyways anyone know if there is a fish and chip shop at Peterborough?! Thinking of making a visit on the 10th
  18. Maybe that was the problem, the Witches team had eaten the Fish and Chips and then suffered from Hallucinations?
  19. With Gate 1 not winning a heat all night, certainly seemed a strange choice. Gate 2 4 wins, Gate 3 5 wins, Gate 4 5 wins. So the obvious choice regardless of gate 1 being shocking was to pick 2 and 4. (Gate 1 scored 17 points,) So again a strange strange choice!?
  20. Would have been 4 out of 4 if I'd listened to the boy! Either way it's all good and roll on next time
