Swedish Playoffs 2008
2ndbendbeerhut replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
Much better meeting than the EL! Jarek seemed to worry too much about AJ rather than riding his own race, made same mistake last night too, when he stayed wide and let Hans block pass him. I've not had any streaming problems tonight or last night. Thanks to whoever you are! When's the race off, seem to be taking an age! Karl -
Any news on Mikael Max after his crash at Wroclaw? Heard that Schlein has suspected broken scaphoid..... Karl

Mine was the same, upto heat 9 was ok, but now a bit patchy! Missed the crash, am watching the football too, but finally someone has passed (Crump on Koshiecha). Last week was much the same but its repeated in the week if need be. Also try http://www.itvp.pl/event/zuzel/?tab=16 it will show the matches and results etc Karl -

German Gp Wildcard
2ndbendbeerhut replied to rickmiller's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Tobi Kroner is performing superb for the Witches at present. Also he is the only German in the Gp qualifier so that has to count for something too. Good luck to him if correct about him being the WC. Karl -
Rain In Wroclaw
2ndbendbeerhut replied to Algerrie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Hopefully the track will be better then for the rain its taking. No chance of Ole taking the dirt off and making it a slick track. Karl -

Not read ALL 27 pages of the thread, but if i read it correctly theres a fair few going right? 77? If this is the case, you can add me and 7 mates to the list, 4 speedway virgins! Karl Ps we going to Wroclaw on the thursday and staying there, traveling to the Gp on sat, then coming back on the sunday, coming home to Stansted on the monday. Should be fun! -

Hans Andersen Statement
2ndbendbeerhut replied to Subedei's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
What with the last wildcard entries being announced, anyone know who the "reserves" are? eg if any of the riders cannot take their places Karl ps As Tony Rickardsson is quitting at the end of 2006, what happens about his place(assuming a top 8 place is possible ) Will the 9th place get in, or could Tony choose instead? -
Strange decesions but hey its speedway, and where Ole Olsen has a say then you sort of come to expect it! It was rumoured that Matej Zager would be there along with a Dane and a Pole but the two they have chosen is debatable....... Bjerre - was 1st reserve this year but is curently injured, which shouldn't be a factor in 2006. Andersen - has won a Gp before but failed to qualify for this year after being given a wild card for 2005. 1 strike and you are out it seems. Iversen - Done ok in the past when a wild card but struggled in the UK KK / Kolodziej / Miskowiak - All have time on their sides but not too consistant at present. Kosciecha / Walasek / Holta / Ulamek / Pepe - The "old school" so anyone could have got the nod. I would have thought that if it was due to sponsorship the Hans and Pepe would have been picked due to their deals with Meridan Lifts and Pentel. So one question, What sponsor will Iversen bring to the GP this year? Karl Ps this now makes Hans a more sort after property in the UK but maybe he will now want a better deal?

Seems strange that only Simon Stead, Chris Harris and Joe Screen are attending tonight. Very unprofessional IMO. Scott Nicholls is flying in tommorow and Lee Richardson cannot find his way there! They should ALL be there like the Swedish team are, taking in the meeting and observing how the track looks etc first hand. Anyone else agree? Karl

What?!!! i suppose a decent track in your eyes would be slick with no grip at all? Shows if we have a track with a dirt line then the Brits can do it........ Karl

Well done to the lads tonight. About time we gave the young guys the chance and they didn't let us down. Interesting to see what happens if Mark is fit for saturday. Joe to step down again? Karl
