  1. Happy with that team. Lawson was the best rider in the league last year. A proper number 1 who scores well everywhere. Hagon a young Brit who has so much potential. Good equipment and will kick on this season. Zach and Rowe both are in for big big seasons. Both need to kick on and will surely be the strongest 3/4 pairing in the league. Kerr could take the number 1 jacket from Lawson should he stay injury free. Poole as always will bring the best out of him. Tobais will hopefully pick up where he left from. No excuses with injuries this season so should get out of the reserve berth quickly good luck to whoever’s number 7 and hopefully they can stake a claim to not be the one dropped for Cairns
  2. I agree, which is why I’m holding out hope that someone a bit more exciting will be signed over Starke. Although Starke would I’m sure up his figure I am sure the management would not have picked him over Foord
  3. If it was Howarth instead of Kerr. With 4.81 left maybe that leaves a door open for Hagon to return on a 4.73? I would welcome Sam back with open arms. Yes he tailed off hugely last year but so much potential in him and started last year on fire. He’s also in Australia over winter which will help him no doubt
  4. Assuming it’s Lawson, Tobias, Zach, Rowe, Kerr, Twopointer(Cairns) that’s leaves 4.32
  5. I think if Poole wanted Vinnie he would’ve been back. Unless Poole took too long deciding their team so he looked elsewhere? Unlikely as the Fords usually have plan A B and C sorted long before they need to
  6. Yep that is what I’d hope to see. A new face to British speedway who will get the luxury of starting at reserve. The Fords often find one surprise signing. Hopefully this year is no different
  7. Good move to bring Toby back. Was super impressive at the start and end of the season. Only blip was when he returned too soon from his injury. I expect him to up his average even more this season. Great character to have in the team
  8. Deluded? I really like Foord and would’ve had him back. However realistically he is unlikely to survive the season without an injury or two. don’t know what relevance Lieberman has to my statement unless Poole are replacing Foord with her. who ever Poole sign instead of Foord will I’m sure make sense. poole wouldn’t have let go of Foord if it would make there team weaker
  9. Yeah very disappointed to see that Vinnie won’t be returning. He’s an entertaining rider but I think an average of 3.9 isn’t the greatest value of money. Foord will get a great reception when he returns to Wimborne road
  10. Wouldn’t want Starke in the team over Foord. Hagon was on fire at the start of the season but hugely tailed off. Hagon Vinnie Thompson all riders that will up there average next season wherever they are
  11. Would be surprised and disappointed if Foord isn’t at Poole next season. Think along with most fans the team will look like. Lawson Hagon or Thompson Zach Rowe Kerr Foord 2pointer (Cairns) Hagon and Thompson will both keep the average below 40. For me it’s 50/50 to which one stays. Would like both to stay but that’s unlikely.
  12. Big fan of Kyle but there are better upcoming riders on an average less than his overly high average
  13. I think with Hagon it was just his confidence that had his scoring come to a halt, at the start of the season he was sensational for Poole, beating heat leaders, and passing riders with ease and was spectacular on the outside line at Poole. His early season form was enough for me to hope he is included in the side next season.
  14. Yep gutted he won’t be back for next year. One of those riders that’s worth the entrance fee all on their own. Hopefully Poole can hold on to Tom and I would expect Zach to take over the Captaincy duties for next year.
  15. Would prefer Poole to stick with Hagon over Thompson (if not having both) Hagon did have a very poor end to the season but had kept his average over 5 until the final GSA. Hagon undoubtedly has talent and good backing. Just a huge loss of confidence as soon as he started riding in the premiership. No doubt going to Australia should help him get back to where he was and I would be disappointed if he wasn’t retained. Certainly has it in him to up his average.
  16. 1. Lawson 9.17 2. 4.04 rider 3. Rowe 6.11 4. zach 6.23 5. Ben 8.55 6. Foord 3.9 7. cairns 2 for a 40 point limit I know Ben is highly unlikely to do championship but he may not what to miss out on picking up a few more trophies with his brother. Leaves just over 4 points for the Fords to find a young Aussie, Dane or another foreign Talent
  17. So just to put the team that we are all thinking out there! 1. Lawson 8.48 2. (4.2 left) 3. Ben Cook 7.39 4. Zach 6.22 5. Brennan 7.15 6. Hagon 2.56 7. Perry 2 Now Perry did suffer a very serious injury so could that scare us off him? Or are we assuming that not only will he be physically fully fit he will mentally be fine as well? With the addition of Brennan I would think he would be at 5 leaving the cooks to continue their exciting partnership
  18. I would think if are moving up Anders would have been the rising star. In the local echo it did say Poole are set to run in the championship a few days back
  19. Agree it's almost too low this points limit as it's going to become a money game. Which team is willing to pay more to get the bargain 5avg riders to come over from abroad. I'd rather have Anders the local lad over any new upcoming pole. But a silly points limit rules out Anders returning
  20. Both have had numerous stints at Poole, successful ones too, both have low averages and are capable of more. Team building is about building a team with riders who can add more to there average.
  21. Lawson Hume Zach Jack Thomas Ben Stefan Nielsen (was keen to come back a few years ago and did a great job(riding at 4) till injury Sam Hagon = exactly 38
  22. Lawson 8.48 Rowe 5.8 Zach 6.22 Tate(if a 4) or Starke 4 Ben 7.39 Joe Thomspon 3.51 Sam Hagon 2.56 =37.96
  23. With Ben and Zach if you look at the races they rode together last year they were fantastic. A lot of 5-1s and some were in huge pressure situations. They certainly bring the best out of each other when at the tapes together. There are only a few team's that have a better 3rd heatleader than Ben Cook but im not sure there are any teams with a better 4 than Zach. In a weaker league than it was last year both will put a point on there average if injury free. Don't forget Ben Cook was riding like a number 1 come the end of the season, home and away he was top top class when the business end of the season came
  24. Would love for us to have at least one of Rew or Zischke in the team, both seem ever exciting. Both consistently doing well during our off season and should be 100% ready for the start of our season. Now I think Zischke will be be similar to Ben in his first season with us where he quickly got dialed in at home and was patchy away, now if we can pair him with a reserve who can be a consistent point scorer home and away that should be a good pairing. Then it's all about who we pair Ben with at 3 and 4
