Plymouth Gladiators 2023
Diamonds85 replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oh really? I haven't seen him announced personally, wasn't aware it was official, just strong rumours -
I still wouldn't if I were you Would have looked better not running it at all imo... Are Leicester going to make all of the gate profits on a meeting that they have no riders to pay in? And Sheffield are going to make no gate profits on a meeting that should have been at their home track...? Stinks

Better than the same old boring cr@p that Rob normally puts out? Bring back Josh Auty, Tero Aarnio and Simon Lambert

Plymouth Gladiators 2023

Personally would love to see something like... 1. Scott Nicholls/Richie Worrall... Pretty much the same average but I'd prefer Nicholls on a track like Plymouth tbh 2. Ben Barker (If allowed) 3. Michael Palm Toft 4. Dan Gilkes 5. Hans Andersen 6. Alfie Bowtell 7. 2.00er (Trigger? Kinsley? Coles? etc...) This is based on a 39 point limit with rising stars or a 41 point limit without -
Forgive me if I'm wrong but Anton Karlsson finished the 2022 season in Sweden with a 0.972 average per run. That is behind the likes of Peter Ljung (1.333), Joel Andersson (1.235), Ludvig Lindgren (1.170), Casper Henriksson!! (1.036 - Definitely the Swedish prospect you want to go for imo) and finishing JUST ahead of Daniel Henderson and the Grahn brothers He's been alright don't get me wrong, and he has a big future, but straight in the main body of a Championship team on a 5.00 average, riding the cr@p tracks we have in this country (not much worse than the Swedish ones I know) isn't exactly filling me with confidence. Tbh, I think he'd rather stay in Sweden and ride for Czestochowa u-24s again I like Anton, looks like a decent rider, but not yet... Unless the Championship is much weaker next year

Anton Karlsson on a 5.00 would be awful

So who's gonna be the 8th team then?

1. Sam Masters 2. Josh Pickering 3. Ryan Douglas 4. Jacob Thorsell 5. Luke Becker 6. 4.11 Left assuming 39 point limit remains 7. Leon Flint I'd shake things up a little bit, bring in a new face with Josh (hugely entertaining rider and best mates with Sam and Ryan, also team mates with both in Poland and with Sam in Edinburgh so they'd have good chemistry in pits etc) Bring back Jacob, he's the type of rider British speedway desperately needs to get back, brilliant rider in this country, and lets be realistic we ain't getting world champ level riders over here so Jacob would be one of the better riders imo Stevie seems to have done a good enough job as a second string but someone needs to give average wise and Drew seems to have fallen out of favour at Wolves from what I can tell? I'm guessing Nick will probably be back but who knows, he might end up at Leicester? Not sure who the 4.00er could be? Perhaps a new Aussie, either not in this country yet or from the CL, or maybe even a Dane like Seifert-Salk?

I like Paco a lot, but is he really good enough for the Premiership?

Is there anywhere where there is an official list of 2023 signings for the Ekstraliga? It's all just messy bits and pieces of news scattered across various Polish websites and there's a lot of missing information? I've tried putting together the lists of who's signed for who so far and it's very confusing and I feel like I'm missing a lot of information on many clubs i.e. is the likes of Krakowiak, Pludra and Lobodzinski staying at GKM? What are the u-24 squads going to be? Cheers

Leszno going from league domination to relegation within a few years? Other than Janusz Kolodziej they're not really worth anything now. Piotr Pawlicki has gone, Jason Doyle has gone, Brady Kurtz isn't coming back. They're pretty screwed. Hasn't David Bellego left also? Just Jaimon Lidsey left and he's not exactly a second heat leader... Grudziadz might have a get out of jail card yet again. Grzegorz Zengota isn't a bad way to start but they need a Jason Doyle replacement badly... is Jaroslaw Hampel definitely back at Lublin?

How is Szymon Wozniak or Kacper Woryna lower grade than Jakub Miskowiak Do you watch the ekstraliga results at all?? none of them would even think about racing here anyway

How many emails do you even have?

Much smaller than wolves -
I've been on the wrong end of Luke Muffs dodgy dealings and attitudes a few times, still baffles me that any NL team will trust him and continously give him chances

A mental one

I'm not bothered about Newcastle tbh, I went because it was one of my closest tracks, I just want to see good racing, no matter who it is... The only team bias I ever have is anti Scunthorpe And I do have a soft spot for a couple of teams (Plymouth and Poole) and the odd rider (Pickering and Basso currently) Even when Newcastle had a team, I wouldn't exactly say I was 100% Newcastle through and through, although obviously they were my favourites... -

I'd rather the occasional occurrence of that than fans being dragged from one end of the country to the other just to watch a meeting get cancelled that should've been cancelled at 10am... What situation would be worse to find yourself in, miss a meeting and the sun to come out but at least you've not wasted a tank of fuel in the car, or waste said tank of fuel in the car, arrive at the track and find the meeting cancelled 10 minutes before the tapes were due to go up... Maybe a fine is too harsh, maybe each club gets 3 strikes THEN a fine or something, they need to find ways to keep fans happy, and dragging them out the house, spending pointless money then sending them home isn't going to do that one bit... -
