  1. Jonatan is a decent rider in Sweden, very tough and doesn't give up easy. He's not as talented as his younger brother Gustav you could argue, however he's still not a bad signing imo and has plenty of experience for such a young age. Could be a similar level as Fraser Bowes for Workington if European form is anything to go by. Excited to see some fresh faces in the country for next season. Coming from Sweden, he's probably used to riding the rough tracks you'd find in Britain, it's not billiard tables like in Poland. Will be interesting to see how he gets on. I'm keeping everything crossed that Lasse signs...
  2. You think Klindt or Ellis would come in on a 6? Or am I misunderstanding your post...
  3. I assume Erik Riss as a temporary replacement? As he's rumoured to have signed a contract in this league but has also stated in the past he can't do a Friday track(Redcar, the other team he's rumoured for)
  4. I'd love to see Glasgow put a NL team out. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Workington, Redcar, Belle Vue Leicester, Oxford, Kent, Sheffthorpe, Mildenhall? (Not sure on the Mildenhall situation) Never going to happen, I just don't understand where all the teams are going to appear from to create 2 divisions. Unless Oxford put 3 or 4 NL teams out 😁
  5. Fair enough, as I say I'm happy to be proved wrong and I hope nothing but the best for Glasgow, it's a city close to my heart, although I don't follow their speedway team, I do like to see them succeed. I've seen Ashton have absolutely blinding races where he looks like he's been racing for decades and I've seen him shut off and bottle it against riders much slower than him... I guess it's to be expected at such a young age and he might grow past that stage and properly kick on, time will tell. Hopefully he's a superstar soon enough.
  6. Honestly, I'm probably gonna eat my words in years to come, but I don't get all the hype behind Ashton. Yeah he's extremely talented on a bike for his age, but his attitude and the way he rides... I just can't see him developing into anything too crazy. Yeah he might eventually be a heatleader at Championship level, but I just honestly can't see past that. He reminds me a lot of Lewis Bridger. Bags of talent at a young age, but I just don't see him hitting full potential. I really like Glasgow and I hope it pays off for them, and it probably will, but he's not the next Bewley, Lambert, Woffinden in my eyes. I know it sounds stupid saying this already at his stage in his career, and I do hope I'm wrong... I just don't feel it with him, like I did when I first saw Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley ride, and I just can't explain why...
  7. Must be a fair few teams joining then if there's going to be enough for 2 divisions? There has to be at least 10 (from existing and new) for something like that to work surely
  8. I've also read that more teams will be joining? Brilliant that all teams are returning though
  9. So when's the NDL 'agm' or whatever they have going to be? When are we going to find out which teams are competing?
  10. My bad, I was just going by the 6.50 he was on in 2019 when he last rode for Edinburgh. 5.00 is crazy!!
  11. 1. 2. Lasse Fredriksen 4.67 3. Victor Palovaara 6.50 4. Paco Castagna 7.11 5. Justin Sedgmen 7.92 6. 7. Max James 2.00 11.80 for the final 2. Could go for a big hitter at number 1 and Coles Or Kye Thomson and a 5.00er and put Lasse at reserve and Justin at 1.
  12. Maybe he can't wait because it's one of the few opportunities leicester might have of winning a meeting next season, if Matej is going to get 1 from 4 again...
  13. What would Palovaara, Sedgmen, Paco, Lasse and Max James come to? What would be left? I'm at work so shouldn't really be looking 🤣
  14. Palovaara is an excellent signing. If they can find a decent rider to ride at 1 or 5 that would be an OK heatleader trio. Add Paco and Lasse to complete the top 5?
  15. Stanislav Melnychuk is a very exciting rider, particularly at this level of the sport, and if his disturbed schedule from last season hasn't affected his progress in the sport he'll do a good job. He's the type of rider, as a neutral, I would come to watch. Hope this rumour turns out to be true.
  16. Thank you for typing the post that I couldn't be bothered to the other day.
  17. That's a very good team...very expensive though...
  18. Perhaps he just doesn't want to...? Does there need to be a reason? Perhaps he feels Glasgow is a worthwhile of a club to travel for where Scunthorpe isn't. With all due respect Glasgow is much more professionally run and much more likely to be chasing for honours.
  19. Thompson yes he's 10.something James and Foord no. 7.20 and 6.29 respectively. Spencer is number 2 in the averages for Leicester and has been racing in a heatleader position all season. I don't think he'd be the worst number 7 in the league and rides Redcar well, and he's got some experience too, not a world beater but better than others who may be available on a 2.00 who haven't already been snapped up.
  20. Tom Spencer has an average in the NDL of 7.22 riding at number 3 in a very good Lion Cubs team, how's that not a heatleader?
  21. 1 Charles Wright © 8.37 2 Sam Hagon 4.73 3 Kye Thomson 6.53 4 Jason Edwards 6.19 5 Danny King 7.88 6 Jake Mulford 4.27 7 Tom Spencer 2.00 Take out Erik and Ace and add Kye and Sam then? Makes it a bit more balanced, the reserves are slightly stronger with Jake starting there. I don't see Sam or Kye staying at their current teams so could be options. Personally I don't see Tom being much worse than the likes of Max James last season, he's slowly cooking down in the NL without drawing too much attention to himself, but he's a tidy rider and partnered with either Jake or Sam all season he won't be under too much pressure.
  22. Which is why I partnered him with Kyle, who probably should be at 5. But allows Kyle to take heat 14 to strengthen the end of the meeting. There's arguments in all ways on how to set the team up.
