I don't think you understand the rules. After completing 75% of fixtures, no team changes can be made. Once Oxford race tomorrow, they can't change their team. Similarly Belle Vue have only the next 7 days to secure their nos.6 & 7. After next Monday's meeting, they can't make a change. That's why people are saying there is a "last chance" to impress teams.

Oxford vs Scunthorpe/Sheffield 14th July 3pm

How much you betting? -
Believe he's been at the last couple of Belle Vue practice days and flew round the place. Thought he was getting practice for SON2, but obviously not just that.

Yep. And the family of 4 going to Belle Vue @ £46 for 120 minutes = 9.5p per minute of entertainment. Glad to see we've finally worked out that Speedway gives great value.

The problem with the whingers is that they still live in a past, surreal world where you could get the tram into town, buy three new suits, get blind drunk, go to the speedway, buy some bananas, go see George Formby at the Palace theatre, buy 4 stone of monkey nuts, and still have change out of a farthing. But some of us live in 2024. Great view on the back straight at Belle Vue, and £46 for a family ticket. Compare that with football. And I don't mean Manchester United and City. Try the lower leagues. e.g. Go to Burnley £45 for one person. Go to a concert instead? Next on at Co-Op Arena are "Pearl Jam". Cheapest tickets are £80.50 each. (It'll be even more for someone good). Oh, and it's £9.50 a pint. Look at that time when people paid a fortune to watch Wimbledon tennis, but it rained and they saw nothing and had to suffer Cliff Richard. Look at all those people who paid to see Nicki Minaj at Co-op but saw nothing because she was nicked for drugs. etc etc. One offs like this happen, especially with things like speedway, tennis, cricket which are dependent on weather. Of course if you're an old moaner, things are more expensive since we went decimal, but thankfully most of us live in the real world. But nobody's forcing you to go anywhere. I hear it's a lot warmer watching Barry Manilow at the Co-op. (But buy your Werthers Original at Home Bargains first). But his ticket prices may see the oldies off with a heart attack.

Do you not eat on the other 6 days a week? If you sit down to watch Eastenders at tea time, do you add the cost of your meal to the cost of the TV licence and then rant at the BBC? The cost of food is purely your choice. If I go up to Manchester on a Monday, I just throw a sandwich together. So I probably spend less on food that night than I would for dinner on a non-speedway night. £61 for a family ticket seems decent value to me. But you could always go on the NSS back straight with a family for £46. That's £11.50 each. Try and go to a football match for £11.50. (And I won't even mention the cost of going to see Taylor Swift sing a few songs at a distance of 200 yards). Sometimes Speedway supporters are just big whingers.

Think Oxford have too much strength in depth. Especially at reserve. 51-39 -
Oxford vs Middlesbrough - Sat 19th May
PotteringAround replied to Bojangles's topic in National League Speedway
Is a 40-year-old really the best unattached 3.00 junior that Oxford can find? Same applies to the 35-year-old at No1 for Middlesbrough. -
Presumably because Worrall pleaded guilty with mitigating circumstances. Whereas Complin pleaded Not Guilty and they had to go through the formal hearing to prove it.

Any local Coke dealer.

Good to see the SCB reporting when riders aren't drugs cheats. On Sunday 12th May 2024 the Racoo Anti - Doping Team attended the Leicester Cubs v Belle Vue Colts National League fixture where two riders from each team were randomly selected and tested. All four riders tested produced a negative result.

Is it a salaried position or commission-based? Can you DM the application form? Is there a pension scheme?

5 hours on a good day. I'd allow 7 hours on a Bank Holiday.
