  1. 2 matches , nine rides , no exclusions.....so far, better than some.
  2. Your question...”why the need for a double header ?”
  3. Ask the promoters ! you don’t like what’s on offer, don’t go , but then don’t moan when it’s no longer on offer.
  4. ‘End of bend one and start of bend 2’....so correct decision was made, harsh or not.
  5. My kids say that when their wrong too ! Bottom line is, the ref made the decision.......the only one open to him and the right one.
  6. So why was he under the second bend air fence infront of the stand ??? you need to go to spec savers.
  7. You can disagree all you like but Can only do that for first bend bunching, he fell on the outside of bend two so never ever going to be all 4 back.
  8. Ref didn’t mess up, Sarjeant did, leaving Jenkins no where to go. It was bend 2 so no option of all 4 back. Decent match despite the track issues . Monarchs will feel they should have won , Bears will think they were lucky to get a draw with the way Masters and Worrall had been riding up till that last heat. Very similar to Fridays match in that respect. Palin was the key man for Monarchs , his last two rides turned the tables after the Bears looked on for a narrow but comfortable win. Think both teams will be in with a chance of the play offs but a number of riders from both sides looked as though they haven’t quite ‘dialled in’ yet but they will improve with matches.
  9. Their loss. Fans moan about no speedway and this is now the price that needs to be paid, don’t attend, lose the club or get your hand in your pocket and support the club and the next generation of stars at the same time.
  10. Top entertainer at many clubs in his time. Hope he recovers quickly.
  11. So you want Rathbone out after he’s had ONE season of racing and one poor meeting ??? Your ruthless or an idiot, guess which?
  12. Remember she was one of the inner sanctum. It was their club, their track, their land , they have chosen to sell up and take the money, that’s business and it’s their choice. Sad loss to speedway but predictable .
  13. No ‘ official ‘ inspection has taken place as no speedway licence has been applied for . The grandstand supports would be an issue as they are too close the the fence for speedway and boarding over them would block the view of spectators but, as no promoter has taken on the role, it won’t be a problem as there won’t be speedway at Odsal until one comes forward.
  14. Is there any after the match racing tonight ? Junior match or the like ?
  15. Hard one to call this one but I think home advantage will be the decider. Redcar don’t perform too well at Armadale usually and a couple of their new team have openly stated it’s not one of their favourite tracks . Sergeant might be a star for them but I think the home team will have enough for a comfortable win and the Bears would be happy to go away with a point from their first match of the season.
  16. They would certainly also lose money at NDL level with the implied costs.
  17. A few had approached the owner , including a consortium, and were frightened off by the payments demanded plus the issues with stanchions too close to the fence.
  18. Not in the rule book and the league co- ordinater was , allegedly, not consulted , the powers that be simply stated ‘ it is in the best interests of the sport ‘ which is the mafias get out clause for everything they want to do.
  19. At the moment, as I understand it, it’s pre book only but no tickets available yet. Crowd is restricted ( 250?) , and allocated spaces so your chances of getting a ticket as a ‘neutral’ are very slim and about nil on the day.
  20. Watches one match and is now an expert on the Belle Vue track. It’s nothing like any other UK track , which, if you had bothered to watch any other matches from there, you would have known . But at least now you won’t bother watching any more matches so you won’t be giving us another deep insight into track layouts.
  21. Allen was declared late so probably hasn’t yet got clearance to work in the UK , Stewart hasn’t had clearance to ride in the Premiership as it requires a change in visa and the paperwork hasn’t come thorough yet. As for the idiotic comment previously ( Smith ) I assume the author has mental issues.
  22. As Allen is in isolation he couldn’t attend press day at Ipswich. If you don’t believe the clubs press releases why should you believe anything on here ?
  23. Whilst ‘ established ‘ riders of Garcia’s standard may be harder to replace I still think R/R should not even be allowed in the NDL especially considering the outcry regarding riders being put out of teams due to the new lower points limit.
  24. I’m hearing that the Cubs are to run with R/R for Halder for 28 days, ( I’ve been told this by a rider who has NDL experience from 2019 and is still looking for a place ) then so much for helping the youth as there’s still lads available that ( like my contact ) would jump at a place to show their ability. Poor decision by the club and governing body.
  25. With your estimated crowd figure and the rumoured cost of rent you expect the ‘ promoter ‘ to pay his running costs including riders wages, ref, maintenance costs and staff out off around £3,000 of left over income and still have a profit with no extra coming from food or drink outlets ? Think again....
