  1. He's been fine. Only Jody Scott has done better of the 2 point reserves, he's nearly a four point rider. I'm not sure what people expected but I think he should be really pleased with that.
  2. Depends how interested TV companies are in showing speedway tbh. I wouldn't assume they will want to renew.
  3. It's almost pointless worrying about riders for next year, given how obscenely different views seem to be on league structure and points limits for next year right now. I'm not sure they've even agreed when to have the AGM yet.
  4. Why not just make sure both mascots are present at all matches and get them to have a rammy if you can’t break the deadlock? You win by removing the head off the other mascot.
  5. You know, the rule could be a lot stupider. They could do it based on the fastest heat time. Like they do for some tiebreaker in SGP. That's dumb!
  6. You could of course have two home, two away, and drop a competition (or maybe two 😱) and then have less disparity in the number of home meetings for each side. Rather than Berwick having 11 and Glasgow/Poole having something like 18, maybe everyone would have closer to 16. That would make a lot more sense. It's not like we get many shock winners of all the cups, sometimes we can't even be bothered to arrange the finals because it seems teams get bored of winning...
  7. I completely agree. Very hard to predict, but I also feel like both sides are quite capable of winning comfortably if everything clicks. TCTC.
  8. Good luck to Redcar in the final, I hope they win. No complaints about the rules, I personally think it's a very sensible one. I really can't throw my toys out the pram at it.
  9. "In no particular order" should be understood to mean any heat advantage, no matter the value. That's 8-7 in favour of Redcar.
  10. He's got great natural instincts. He's by far the most exciting British rider coming through the ranks right now. Let's see how he does as the opposition get tougher.
  11. Max has more than doubled his average this season. Last season, he averaged about 1.04, which was masked by the league minimum 2.00 GSAs. Now it's 2.35. Freddy's average last year was about 1.52 - now it's 2.70. Earth-shattering? No. But it is measurable progress.
  12. Well we topped the league table, got the highest team average in the league and got to the playoffs final, so we've done better than seven out of nine teams. Who is the stronger reserve you would've taken if you were Glasgow? I wanted us to get Jody Scott, but no idea if we did (or if he would have wanted to). Same for next year. Jody is taken, surely Redcar will want to keep him. Cooper Rushen seems unlikely to come to Glasgow. Edinburgh will want to keep Jordy Loftus. Of more experienced reserves, Ace seems happy at Redcar. There aren't a lot of obvious options, and some of the teams with strong reserves didn't even make the playoffs so it's not a guarantee of success. That's the great thing about the points limit. Everyone has to compromise somewhere.
  13. Yeah. It's been a bit of a frustration for some fans second half of this season. The track isn't bad by any means, but it's not been what we're used to either. Not sure the ins and outs of why it's changed tbh.
  14. The inside was definitely better than it has been, second half of the meeting at least. It’s still not what it was though. Some races were just a race to the dirt and as long as you were on the fence, you were pretty safe. I hope they move back towards how it used to be prepared, because there wasn’t anything wrong with it.
  15. Very easy to say, until you have to remove another main body rider and bring in a weaker rider to make room for a stronger reserve.
