I don't count anything before turn three. Lee and Kyle swapped places twice in heat two. Chris Harris passed Anders Rowe in heat one. That's three passes.

The best I can come up with for right now is Sam McGurk. He’s not an upgrade in my eyes. Would he be worse? People will differ on that. One thing that was pointed out to me is, we have 8 Championship matches left. You only want a replacement to ride in 7 matches, because that way, they are still on an assessed average at the start of next season. So, if management want to make a replacement, it would make sense after the next Championship fixture, to allow more options for next year, and for a replacement to build form this year. Realistically, it’s only worth the risk for a rider you want to sign for next year.

It’s probably worth remembering also that three bikes hit the fence at once, in different places. That’s a lot of force spread out over a much wider area than one guy sliding in. The force of impact has to go somewhere, and if nothing moves at all, that just means all the force has gone straight into the bikes and riders, which would be far worse.

Bomber should’ve been in with Marcin for heat 15, they were a good pairing tonight. Ben just tripped Bomber up repeatedly.
