  1. Important enough to FIM, even if we don’t seem to care.
  2. Stoneman was done a bit there. Tapes went up on the outside much faster than the inside.
  3. They knew yesterday it was delayed until at least Sunday. I guess the time wasn’t mentioned and they didn’t expect it to be 9am.
  4. He thought the FIM event would be later in the day and therefore give him time to travel after tonight’s fixture.
  5. BSN will start a war, saying Berwick Rangers are the only Scottish team to play in England
  6. The terms should be printed in the programme somewhere.
  7. It’s £1 off for each heat not run, up to heat 10. So it’s £10 - (£1 x number of heats completed).
  8. There’s a nice video remembering Nigel Pearson on the British Speedway YouTube channel today.
  9. We are entitled to a minimum of £4, but anything above that is at the direction of the promoters. There was a rain off against Poole last season, for which I have misplaced my voucher, so I don’t know how they distinguish between them (and I don’t remember when that was called off).
  10. The racing there isn't good enough to attend as a neutral. The sooner they get a new, racier track, the better.
  11. Oh, and I'd just decided to stay at home and watch that because I have too many other things to do!
  12. Yeah, the rain caught everyone off guard. Funny how the rain always starts at 6:30 on Fridays here!
  13. Possible date for a restaging would be Friday 28 April, you'd think. Unless there are non-Championship commitments.
  14. It looked like the Berwick guys weren't really up for it. Some quite tentative sliding. Didn't seem to bother the likes of Harris, Vissing or Schlein. There is quite a bit more water on the tack now though. Maybe they just didn't want to wait for an hour and then find they had to cancel anyway.
  15. Yeah, I thought that too. I was surprised how quickly they called the meeting off too.
  16. Gating will definitely be more important tonight. Conditions should help the Bandits a bit. No one seems bothered about the track, and track staff haven't done any work on it, so they seem quite content about it. They're a bit less content about a car that seems to be blocking an ambulance from entering the stadium...
  17. Might make the trip if the weather looks ok. I'll wait and see how the Bandits look tonight before making a prediction.
  18. On second look, the home straight is a bit wetter than I thought. Might need a bit of work in places.
  19. Damper than expected - I wouldn't call it pissing down - but track looks good. Skies are dark but I'm hopeful it they don't leak too much.
  20. Rain in the area but likely to be mildly annoying residual dampness rather than consequential.
  21. Ben’s a bit mental, but I don’t think he’s mad enough to put himself in a metal fence on purpose. The poly fence is a different story…
  22. I didn't have a problem with the crash itself. It happens. We've all seen it countless times. What made it worse in the moment was Bickley collecting Basso's bike, and that it happened after the end of the poly fence, so Basso went into the metal fence. But still, that kind of crash happened more than once at Ashfield just last year. The fisticuffs was funny. Panto at the speedway. Nothing massively wrong with that either tbh. The problem is simply the tweet. Does Craig really mean he did it intentionally? We all make our own minds up. But the fact you can interpret it as intentional is problem enough. You can't have riders even giving the impression they did it on purpose and leave it be. It's sport, not war.
