  1. Nervy starts. Worrall excluded, Cook really should've been warned, now Nowak from 15...
  2. Why not support the away team for both legs? No rules saying you can't swap sides at half time!
  3. Weather forecast looking good, glad it looks like we’re finally getting a meeting in. Will need to wrap up warm but hoping at the very least to finish the season with a home win, whatever happens on the return leg.
  4. Yes, probably would require moving second leg. But even if Tuesday is dryish, with all the rain we’ve had and will have, the track will be a state.
  5. Having lived in Glasgow for 17 years, I’ll say West of Scotland humour takes some adjustment and can be brutal but is almost never malicious. I do think Wednesday might be a better day than Tuesday weather wise, though I’m not sure if that’s an option. Can’t say I’m looking forward to such a cold meeting, but needs must. Easiest way back to city centre by public transport is probably the train from Ashfield station. It’s half hourly, one stop and takes 7 minutes. Walking is a bit far, though I personally wouldn’t be worried about safety. You’re more likely to be mugged in the West End where the people with things worth nicking hang out…
  6. Yeah, it was a great ride and deservedly applauded throughout the stadium on the night. On another note, the rain here is awful and forecast to stay. This isn't happening tomorrow.
  7. Yeah, looking at the weather outside right now, and the forecast, I don't see this happening tonight.
  8. I only have the Tigers scores, but it was 14 points. Very different Tigers team though. Craig had 15, Broc 5, Ricky 3+1, Sam 12 but from reserve. Ricky and Sam are key for us. If they turn up, we can win big. If they don’t, it becomes a struggle. We were much more predictable in the middle of the season with Ulrich at 5 and Ricky at 3. We’ve found balance a bit hard to come by since then. id really love to see Ulrich and Marcin back next season. They’re both great to watch.
  9. But also the best I remember him riding this season. Making starts, passing for fun when he needed to.
  10. I agree on top 4 rather than top 6 for playoffs, but I also understand why it’s top 6. It does mean there’s more speedway top watch, and if the season starts when it should next year, perhaps it will be easier. Perhaps. Really looking forward to the final, not least because when Poole visited at the start of the season, it was streaming only (I think). Will be nice to see in person, even if it will be cold. Forecast is grim but Tuesday’s forecast is only for light rain at the moment, so a little improvement might make the difference, as it did this week. I’m trying to be optimistic.
  11. Completely forgot this was a 2:30. Might have taken a trip across to cheer on Poole if I’d remembered. I’d like to see them win one trophy but definitely not the other one!
  12. The tapes are as frozen as the rest of us! Been very reliable except when the Monarchs are in town...
  13. It’s been covered already in the thread a few times, but Miskowiak was being examined for an injury from earlier on, and at the same time, there were medics with a spectator who had taken unwell. This took a while and there were multiple, frequent conversations between the referee and the clerk of the course. To be honest, it was the crash in heat 13 that was the real cause of the early finish. Medics were with Kubera/Ellis for quite a while - they were still on track when I left, although obviously time pressures disappear once a meeting is off. Without the crash, we’d have been OK, though conditions for heat 15 would’ve been suboptimal.
  14. To be fair, they might have been planning to after the meeting, but obviously didn't get a chance to because of how it finished. It was a bit of a shame though.
  15. Hopefully we see more of them at Tigers meetings in future. Maybe if we sign Marcin for next year, we might convince some of them.
  16. They were getting on with it, but they'd already had a delay for one crash, and another delay for Miskowiak to receive medical attention (and there was a paramedic require with a fan at that time too). So yes, there were delays, but they weren't really avoidable. Outside those, the referee was very quick with the two minutes and track work was brisk. There were at least two other restarts too.
  17. Nasty accident in 13 there, and I think the weather might mean we're done for the night.
  18. No, 7:30. Rain has passed and clear skies for a while now. It looks like we should be OK.
  19. Track staff have made the dirt look great. Light rain has started though.
