  1. Mechanical. Although the third time, he was understandably very frustrated. Hopefully the long pause has helped his cause.
  2. Hurt, but no hospital visit required. Still fixing the fence. Sun is still out but it's getting a bit windier and the temperature is dropping. We'll have to wait a bit longer to see how bad this week's post-heat 10 collapse is.
  3. We have a bit of a delay. Kye Thomson came off on the back straight in heat 12. I don't really know what happened. It seems there was contact with the metal fence as the track workers are looking at it. Kye is in the ambulance and we're told he is sat up and talking. He's been excluded. But I don't know what happened - I think he was at the back and all I saw was the bike cartwheel to a stop in line with me.
  4. I think Craig Cook has just about completed four laps in his three races combined. Scores would almost be level if his bike hadn't kept packing up. We're not going to close 10 points in the last five races.
  5. Even sunnier and warmer than yesterday for the return leg. And no pesky stand for the sun to hide behind later - it got very cold for the fingers on that third bend last night. No idea how this will pan out. Tigers should score very well at reserve at home. Brennan should outscore Sedgmen too, but I can't remember when he was last here. Tigers can easily score 54 but the team never seem to deal with pressure very well.
  6. Masters and Pickering were on great form tonight. The night looked bad for the Tigers from the off, with Craig going through the tapes and then Broc replacing him and doing the same. Gating was poor, and most of the boys stuck to the inside when the Edinburgh boys were clearly favouring the outside. Didn't really understand why we sent Tom out again in heat 15 when Ulle had scored in every ride. He wasn't setting the place on fire, but he was solid. And whilst it didn't change anything, it's mad that heat 8 is a protected heat (obvs doesn't apply in KO Cup with no tactical subs), yet you can put a better rider in under R/R. Surely it would be logical to make it so that heat can only be covered by the other reserve? It's a lot to make up tomorrow, but I guess it depends who turns up. All I know is it won't be Chris Harris.
  7. Decided to make the trip. Warm evening, clear skies, breeze isn't too fresh yet. Any kind of win for the Tigers would do me fine tonight.
  8. Yeah, hopefully should be good tonight - he was fantastic in the league. Never know what he’ll do at Ashfield - massive win in heat 13 against Poole last time out there!
  9. So, so we have the full lineups? I feel like this is one where I do want to see the teams before I commit to going.
  10. Yeah, that was probably part of it. Derek or Hugh did mention it during the match with the Pirates, but definitely could have made more of it.
  11. I was there. Fantastic racing, although it was a proper dust bowl! Great entertainment. You can't go wrong with 32 heats for a tenner. Not sure why more people weren't interested to be honest.
  12. I don’t think there was anything wrong with the track to be fair. There was a catalogue of disasters but all the issues looked like machinery and riders to me. There was the one crash at turn three that people thought might have been partially an issue with sunlight, but that was it.
  13. Not sure if there’s been more crashes on the stream or the track.
  14. That would require coordination, not something Brits are known for. My response was more about the general setup across the different racetracks to be honest. There would be practical considerations to sharing a feed, but not insurmountable if planned and both sides thought it was in their interests.
  15. I don’t know. If they are sensible, they will use a 4G load balancer that can connect to multiple operators. Would be dangerous to rely on host stadium WiFi for a product you charge for. You always want these things in your own control.
  16. 15 heats, with one/two commentators who can identify the correct riders is all we need. There's nice stuff on top of it, but the 60 laps is pretty fundamental!
  17. Yeah, I just cancelled my subscription. I didn't pay for the Pairs, but I saw even with that, there's two heats missing from Monday night. I want to support them, but there's a minimum baseline they're just not meeting.
  18. I was OK with this the first couple of meetings, but this should be sorted by now. I also wish they just made the subscription via YouTube - no option to Chromecast from iOS, which is very frustrating.
  19. You can pay for your chips with a card, so why can’t you buy a ticket with your card/phone at the turnstiles? I don’t get that. There’s nowhere else I go where I need cash.
  20. The issue isn’t the riding order/combination. It’s the riders they’re paired opposite. 3, 4 and 5 were all one place higher than usual, as Sedgmen at 2 replaced Brennan at 5, so three riders essentially all went up a place, so it was tougher for them. But that’s what was available tonight, and that’s how it goes.
  21. Would be a lot better if the rule was changed so it’s only a problem if you touch the tapes.
  22. And yes, the referee let quite a lot of movement go today. Didn’t pull anything back. Maybe he had somewhere to be?
