  1. Weather might have played a part, but he also struggled once he moved up from reserve. I think pressure played a part. And in fairness to him, he had to move to be a heat leader because of Ullrich’s injury. Ulrich was a big loss. Ricky was inconsistent and that hurt at times too. It wasn’t that he couldn’t pass. He pulled some great moves off. But he always looked a fraction over the limit and it bit him, often.
  2. Well done Poole. Come back next year. Far more interesting than going to Wolverhampton every other week.
  3. OK, well at the end of the meeting it was announced Neil Middleditch had said there will be. Someone somewhere is either making it up, or just hasn't been told there's a change. We'll find out on Thursday!
  4. Good to hear there's a live stream on Thursday. Ten point lead makes it interesting on Thursday. Not really sure how we won by 10, but there you go. Biggest issue for us is Sam at 3. It's been our weakest link the second half of the season.
  5. Yeah, that's what annoys me. But I think having had a couple of minutes to think about, Tom should've backed out.
  6. Nervy starts. Worrall excluded, Cook really should've been warned, now Nowak from 15...
  7. Why not support the away team for both legs? No rules saying you can't swap sides at half time!
  8. Weather forecast looking good, glad it looks like we’re finally getting a meeting in. Will need to wrap up warm but hoping at the very least to finish the season with a home win, whatever happens on the return leg.
  9. Yes, probably would require moving second leg. But even if Tuesday is dryish, with all the rain we’ve had and will have, the track will be a state.
  10. Having lived in Glasgow for 17 years, I’ll say West of Scotland humour takes some adjustment and can be brutal but is almost never malicious. I do think Wednesday might be a better day than Tuesday weather wise, though I’m not sure if that’s an option. Can’t say I’m looking forward to such a cold meeting, but needs must. Easiest way back to city centre by public transport is probably the train from Ashfield station. It’s half hourly, one stop and takes 7 minutes. Walking is a bit far, though I personally wouldn’t be worried about safety. You’re more likely to be mugged in the West End where the people with things worth nicking hang out…
  11. Yeah, it was a great ride and deservedly applauded throughout the stadium on the night. On another note, the rain here is awful and forecast to stay. This isn't happening tomorrow.
  12. Yeah, looking at the weather outside right now, and the forecast, I don't see this happening tonight.
  13. I only have the Tigers scores, but it was 14 points. Very different Tigers team though. Craig had 15, Broc 5, Ricky 3+1, Sam 12 but from reserve. Ricky and Sam are key for us. If they turn up, we can win big. If they don’t, it becomes a struggle. We were much more predictable in the middle of the season with Ulrich at 5 and Ricky at 3. We’ve found balance a bit hard to come by since then. id really love to see Ulrich and Marcin back next season. They’re both great to watch.
  14. But also the best I remember him riding this season. Making starts, passing for fun when he needed to.
  15. I agree on top 4 rather than top 6 for playoffs, but I also understand why it’s top 6. It does mean there’s more speedway top watch, and if the season starts when it should next year, perhaps it will be easier. Perhaps. Really looking forward to the final, not least because when Poole visited at the start of the season, it was streaming only (I think). Will be nice to see in person, even if it will be cold. Forecast is grim but Tuesday’s forecast is only for light rain at the moment, so a little improvement might make the difference, as it did this week. I’m trying to be optimistic.
