  1. Got to say that in the three Premiership matches shown do far this season, there's been very little to get excited about in terms of racing.
  2. My fear now is that with the number of intruders getting into Brandon (be it to take photos or trash it), how long before someone gets in there and ends up getting badly injured or even killed? A glance at the newest photos tells you how unsafe parts of Brandon are now. Brandon Estates and Rugby Council. This is on you. Sort it out
  3. Looks like the arsonists have been busy at Brandon again. Newest photos are shocking
  4. It's the way they've always worked. Point still stands though. Wolves have made judgements in the past on the strength of 1 meeting. Doesn't help of course when Jorgensen turns up to a track that, although not one of his favourites, he actually rode well last week - only to find said track is set up completely different the next.
  5. Not the first time CVS has picked a guest on the strength of 1 meeting. Summed up by him coming out to the tapes in Heat 8 when he wasn't even in it.
  6. Always remember Keith Kershaw losing patience with Greg Hancock dawdling at the start at Monmore in the early 90s, so promptly marched over and banged his fist against the the handlebar, causing Hancock to jump out of his skin!
  7. Important to have someone Kelvin has worked alongside before I guess given how difficult this commentary will be for him to get through. Louis has filled in a couple of times in the past. Impressed with the build up and the way they've explained the sport.
  8. Birmingham have spent a lot of money over the winter to improve the track, which admittedly was awful in 2021
  9. Very good to see so many clubs paying their respects in different ways. Belle Vue did a brilliant job on Monday with silence followed by applause with commentary played over (believe Birmingham did the same as well), a clearly distraught Porky talking openly about his friendship with Nigel at Monmore, and Kings Lynn placing a pint of Guinness on the start line during their tribute yesterday. Such a shame Oxford decided to have one that lasted seconds and was ruined by Peter York continuing to talk over it
  10. Have to say I thought the "tribute" that was done for Nigel Pearson was appalling. It sounded like it lasted ten seconds which York felt he had to yap all the way through.
  11. The NHS is in mess. Last thing they need are ambulances being stood next to a speedway track for two hours waiting for someone to fall off.
  12. Good grief. Oxford have surely not dusted Peter York off the retirement shelf?!
  13. My support has gone in. Let's get Brandon Stadium back in the right hands
  14. Considering the rain, the rebuilt track held up very well tonight.
  15. Not much chance of dust. Absolutely throwing it down at Perry Barr right now. UPDATE now stopped and sun peeping out, but track looks very wet
  16. Commentary isn't brilliant to be fair. A bit too error strewn. Too much adulation of Harris as well for me.
  17. Very impressed so far even with the teething problems, which is fair enough for the first time.
  18. At least we don't have the shouting twins piercing our eardrums ......
  19. Crowd was probably the lowest I've seen st Monmore on opening night. Tbf, even allowing for the local derby element it was not a particularly attractive fixture with Birmingham missing their top three riders anyway. Have to say the track was poor. Looked very dry and dusty
  20. Seems like so many other rule changes British Speedway has conjured up over the years. Completely needless and guaranteed to wind the fans up
  21. Now claiming that having speedway at Brandon isn't fair on the local residents....
  22. Latest statement by site owners https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-stadium-owners-issue-statement-23291099?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
  23. It's a horrific situation, and both Laguta and Sayfutdinov are not to blame for whats going on in Ukraine at the moment I don't this is a situation where you can go in half-soaked. If all sport governing bodies are blocking Russians from competing in international sport, then speedway must follow suite.
