Agreed. I couldn't believe this options available to me when I looked. So much I decided to leave it another month before booking. Maybe more expensive.....
Terenzano - Originally, Harris and Howe. But appartently, Harris has been replaced by Hall
Motala - Stead and Allen
Mseno - King and Bridger
Poles what qualified (no idea what round though)
Walasek, Dobrucki, Kasprzak, Hlib, Protasiewicz, Hampel (unsure whether taking part), Balinski with Jagus as a reserve.
I read that a GP was more or less confirmed there for 2008 and in case of disaster concerning the stadium and track, Miskolc or Gorican would take the round.
Me thinks this is Russia's awakening on the big time.
Provided they find riders to cover for Sajfutdinow and Ivanov (2 possible GP stars), then they could be a force to reckon with.
I was very happy to see Nicki Pedersen back to his competitive ways.
His anger taken out on a barrier
and an eyeballing of Andersen for what was a cumbersome move by him.
Very good but some colour back in the GPs. As did most of the meeting, very competitive, no outright leader in the qualifying heats.
Oh yes.....the likes of Hampel, Gollob, Jagus round a Polish track plus apart from Nicholls, Harris and Stead none of them are heat leaders which means they aren't facing the world's best ride after ride.
It's alright beating a few EL reserves.....
After much consideration, I'd go
Harris
Nicholls
Rico
Kennett (simply because his Polish and the like have been better than Rico, Stead)
Howe/Stead
and the reserve at Cov Allen, and the reserve in Poland would be either Howe/Stead
Agreed....I think the majority of people are getting carried away with one meeting. Let's remember the opposition, the guys who ride will be riding the top of the top.
I'd put Stead still in but Kennett at reserve simply becaus if Stead goes off the boil in comes Kennett.
Or Allen in reserve because of the track.
I am sure, never had this dilemma before
Nicki Pedersen bad boy. A fair few riders would have backed off and left it too the next lap or corner.
Feel extremely sorry for Jagus (and Crump), both riders I went for the GP competition withdrew due to injury.
Very impressed with Lindgren and Adams proving there is life still in him at this level.
Well Done Bomber!
Heat 8 was as good as heat as any this season.
He's got a Under 19 European spot though.
How many qualifiers because Germany are seeded through and logic says that 3 teams from 2 meetings doesnt work.
Touch and go whether we can beat Sweden
The meeting in Poznan should be a cracker.
I think me and Bazaar mean travelling with the squad etc....give them the experience basically. What Sven should of done with Walcott, not select him in the squad.
There's no qualifier for Poles listed in the Speedway Star's International Calendar. The Golden Helmet is at Bydgoszcz before the GP Qualifiers. Maybe that might be used to 'nominate' the Poles.
