Plymouth Gladiators 2023
FishersGate replied to jbell1995's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunthorpe from what I've heard -
Happy for Joe T. He needs to get his confidence back and scunny is a decent race track . He will learn there.
-
God this guy is as inspiring as a wet weekend.
-
MPT, Mountain, Douglas, Lambert, Allen, Joe T, Kennedy I reckon.
-
I hope the comets can pull this off. The track looks absolutely fantastic . I wonder with Leicester dropping out they could be looking at Saturday night speedway? Maybe a season in the NL then work towards the championship?
-
I wonder what team Glasgow will put our next season. With Leicester going and Poole making it look easy Glasgow can't afford to get it wrong . To stay in guessing Basso, Brennan, Hume, Bailey?

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)

Would seem a bit signing for sure. Heard that Leicester will be announcing riders soon to try cheer us up ! -
Just heard a strange one here..from what I've been told the picture that Leicester put up of busters amazing track work was a photo taken months prior and when buster turned up he saw it and said no chance and left it . So the king's Lynn track use was agreed a while before hand. Don't know how it is though

Now I've had a sleep and time to think clearly I can post my thoughts. First of, congratulations to the Poole Pirates. The won the play offs fair n square. What a fantastic team and were fancied by myself to win it at the start of the season. As a lion I feel gutted I couldn't see us at home for the final. It would have been a lot closer and probably a last heat decider if it was at Leicester. Il miss the mini rivalry Leicester and Poole have had the last two seasons. Poole come out as winners but that's in there DNA and for leicester we haven't quite got that mentality yet. Again, congrats to Poole enjoy your victory even though it's covered with controversy it's still a trophy. Il miss the championship and still don't want to move up. Although now we wont have Poole spoiling our chances at glory. My first year on the forum and enjoyed it ! Thanks all.

Can only see a Poole win on the night. No home advantage what's so ever. I expect Lawson to get 13+ points. Dan n Joe would have got 10/12 between them. You can half that now. So spoiler alert everyone. It's Poole's title! Do they deserve it ? Not really but sometimes that's speedway for you. Congratulations to Poole they are serial winners. Il remember this season for lions as a successful one but with a major dissatisfied ending.

Woops wrong thread!! Apologies. No Glasgow riders from what I was told

I've just been sent the scunny team for next season..god knows how true it actually is but if it is it's a improvement on last year's with a few changes at the top and bottom and some usual suspects remaining

I am simply lost for words. This is a low point for British speedway. The bates have said they moved us up because there business model is more suitable for the prem ..and what's that exactly? Having a track that has a drop of rain, had to be dug up and relayed, bladed, watered and god knows what else to simply not even be able to run a final. I am gutted . Speedway is my number 1 sport but this has hit a low point. The bates, BSPA and who ever else is involved should be hanging there heads in shame. I am 26 years old and missed out on the title win in 2018 for personal reasons so this Friday was a big moment for myself and the club. Now it's ruined. Well done to the pirates ! Proper run club who are in it to win and will run a meeting properly. Gutted and disappointed.

Would be a great team but I imagine the RS rule will be scrapped. -
God what a mess. From a Leicester point of view it's a tad embarrassing with all these delays. I must say though that if it rains we cannot do anything about it. I think the track is that wet and been dug up that much it's just a complete cluster f#ck now. So it needs atleast 3/4 days of dry weather and of being sorted from scratch. For me also I was mega excited for this final. I've just started going back to Leicester after a 5/6 years away and to reach the final was a big moment for me to witness. Now the spark has completely gone due to it been delayed again and again. It just seems like I want to get this meeting out the way now regardless of the result . God knows when they will hold the meeting..I'm guessing Friday or Saturday but both have there downfalls for different reasons . I just want the season finished and whoever wins who cares. Just want to see speedway ran properly and not as a side project .
