Seems like we've got three options then with the following 5 being locks (NKI, Holder, Basso, Ben Cook & JJ) Option A (No.1 + Hans Andersen) Option B (High 7's + Troy Batchelor) Option C (Rohan Tungate + Someone on a 6 something)
-
Could be at Leicester with Dickson in charge imo. They need someone in the high 4's to low 5's for the No.2 spot if Mountain is the No.6
-
That's him out then lol.
-
Fantastic side being put together by the Glasgow management. They really mean business next year.
-
Fingers crossed. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but horses for courses The numbers he puts up around Peterborough just makes it a no brainer to at least try and sign him imo.
-
Is Patryk Dudek still interested in British racing for the right price? 8.00 assessed average fits nicely. Talk seems to have died down on him as of late. The only other No.1 riders that I could possibly see racing in the UK are Anders Thomsen & Rasmus Jensen.
-
I'd have him at Peterborough in place of Andersen. Averages holds value riding at No.2 imo.
-
I've been on the Tungate train from Day 1 so that's a move I'd make tbh.

Good to know that I'm close considering you're reliable when it's comes to Speedway news . (Means we'll have a good side this year either way) Either Andersen or Zagar out imo as I'm pretty sure on Flappy's 4 as well as Jenkins. You'd know for sure if Zagar was at BV imo so I'll probably swap Andersen out for Richie Worrall considering he doesn't fit at Leicester if they're going with Mountain at reserve. If it's not Andersen then I'd swap Zagar out for Rohan Tungate considering he'd be the only noteworthy rider left from the 2022 season seeing as Robert Lambert wouldn't be interested in a full UK season imo. I've got this so far. BV - Bewley, Kurtz, Wright, Blodorn, Lidsey, Brennan + Bailey or Kemp (RS) IPS - Doyle, King, Riss, Batchelor, Rew, J. Thomas (RS) + One other just over 6.00 KL - Klindt, KK, Tofty, TJ, Pickering, Jakobsen & Edwards (RS) LEI - Fricke, Lawson, Harris, N. Morris, Mountain, D. Thompson (RS) + One other just over 5.00 SHEFF - J. Holder, Musielak, Ellis, Bellego, Howarth, Kerr & Gilkes (RS) WOL - Masters, Becker, Schlein, Douglas, S. Worrall, Z. Cook & Flint (RS)

This is what I think our side will be. Under the limit but this 1-7 is based on rider availability only. Zagar doesn't even have a Polish team for 2023 and he's got to get himself a job or two somewhere otherwise he'll force himself into retirement. Difficult to see Hans anywhere else unless Ipswich or Leicester take a punt on him imo (Very unlikely). 1. Niels-Kristian Iversen 2. Hans Andersen 3. Chris Holder 4. Benjamin Basso 5. Matej Zagar 6. Ben Cook 7. Jordan Jenkins (RS)
-
I agree. Wolves would've gone for Ben Cook over Zach Cook for sure considering they invited Ben to compete at the Olympique. I've got Flappy's 4 pencilled in along with Jenkins. I do think Hans will find himself in the side too because someone would've taken a punt on Hans considering his average is under 5. The longer he remains unsigned by other clubs just makes a Panthers return inevitable imo.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)
TTT replied to PhilTheAce's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Any update on the final 1-5 member? -
Jan Kvech might be an option if the right offer came in.
-
Reading the press release and CVS doesn’t sound enthusiastic at all imo Gives off “we’re going to give him a try because his mates told us too “ vibes
-
Thought Zach Cook was going to D/UP this year. Thought he would be at Leicester tbh. Gamble taken by CVS again imo. Third time lucky?
-
Good things come to those who wait.
-
PTA is a tier 1 ITK to be fair so it's probably true. Maybe CVS doesn't want to sign a new 4.00 foreigner to the league who may struggle to ride the track. So he'd rather just go with someone who's got experience on all tracks just to give the reserve berth some stability. Last 2 years CVS has took a gamble on reserves Broc Nicol (2021) and Drew Kemp (2022) and it backfired on both occasions. The 1-5 doesn't leave Wolves with many points to play with and Barker is by far the best option left on the table tbh.
-
Had about 4 or 5 years worth of chances. Only reason he's at Redcar is because they couldn't get anyone else. Jamie basically said the No.2 spot has been a nightmare for them after another club stole the planned No.2 from them.
-
If Jenkins was the No.2 then Redcar would've been favourites to win everything next season imo. Will need to find a good replacement for Shanes after a few meetings to have a perfect 1-7. HL Trio is fantastic and nobody else will have a better top three imo, Edwards is a brilliant signing at reserve, Hume will only improve again and Mulford is a decent enough 2.00 pointer imo.
-
Really good side apart from James Shanes. Should be challenging for honours next season.
-
Who turned Redcar over at the eleventh hour that's led to Redcar having to settle for James Shanes?
-
CVS would have to bury the hatchet with Barker if nobody else is available just to avoid a repeat of the 2022 season. I wouldn't rule it out either considering a couple of strong ITK's have hinted that this move could be happening.
-
Why?
-
Very powerful 1-5 and a high scoring reserve is the perfect combo. Impressive side.
-
I'd have him at Panthers too on that average. He can improve his average to somewhere in the region of 6.25 - 6.75 imo. I'm not bothered about the personality of the riders who line-up in our team just as long as they all score points on the track.
